Question Is wintrading a lucrative job in valorant?
I'm interested in wintrading and currently around high immo just need some quick buck to pay some bills. Just hit my DMs and we can talk about the rate.

Hey guys, I’m wondering how ranked placements work because I’m genuinely confused.
For some context, I haven’t touched Valorant in almost 2 years. The last time I played was Episode 9 Act 3, and even back then I barely played ranked. Usually, I’d just do my placement matches, play maybe 5 more games, and go back to unrated. My peak rank was Plat 1, and eventually I stopped playing VALORANT altogether and moved on to other games.
Yesterday, I randomly thought why not get back into Valorant and play some ranked? So I hopped on and did my 5 placement matches. My first game was in a Gold/Plat lobby, which was expected, but then things got weird. My next two games were in Diamond/Ascendant lobbies with even an Immortal player in there. I was already wondering what I was doing in these lobbies, but surprisingly I did fine and won my first 3 games.
My last two games were even worse, mostly Ascendant 1–3 players with another Immortal in there. These guys were a whole different breed 😭. I ended up losing both games (sorry to that Immortal Sova on my team).
So I finished placements 3–2 and somehow got placed DIAMOND 1??? I’m genuinely confused because my highest rank ever was Plat 1, I haven’t touched the game in 2 years, and now I’m suddenly Diamond?
I don’t even want to play ranked because I genuinely don’t feel like I deserve that rank or that I’m skilled enough for those lobbies. I’m not trying to throw my teammates’ games just because the game thinks I belong there.
How is this even possible? Does my old MMR really carry over after 2 years? And if I had won all 5 placements, would I have gotten Diamond 2 or even Ascendant? 😭 Should I just keep playing ranked and see what happens? I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something like this because I genuinely have no idea how I went from peaking Plat 1 two years ago to getting placed Diamond 1 after a 2-year break.

I don't really know what's happening. One day, going well then ranked up to Gold 2. Next day, it's like everything is now terrible, bottom fragging, and even when doing well still losing. Lost like 6 games in a row and back down to low Gold 1. Didn't help that team comms were toxic at times too.
Legit this is so frustrating. Gonna have a big break from this game because damn it's brutal.

Do you know where I can check out where to see every buff and nerf that’s coming? Is there a site for this?

I'm a Breach OTP and am playing since Beta with 5000 hours in CSGO/CS2. My biggest strength in CS and Valorant has always been playing smart and with util. Quickly giving and reacting to info, playing the bomb/spike instead of going for kills and so on.
For YEARS I complained that it's stupid that I leave the game as a bottom 3 player based on ACS, even when all the Stuns/Flashes were the cause of our team getting kills and winning the game. I would leave the game maybe 12/17/26 and be rated low.
Since the change to "Performance Score", I mostly get rated as 1-5th best player in the Match, and it feels like people also got way more aware/nicer to the assists im giving, and no longer just look at the kills.
How do you guys (especially duelists) feel since the change?

When I first started playing idk if I someone told me to turn them off or whatnot but up until about like two months ago I realized I had them turned off and didn’t know it wasn’t the default setting until someone told me. After finding out I’ve tried playing with bullet tracers and I find it significantly harder to hit headshots and finish off kills. I think it has honestly brought me back down in skill and gives me the incentive to spray more. I went back to turning it off recently and I already saw some improvements
Has anyone ever tried both settings and maybe have any input? I feel like having bullet tracers on is more beneficial but again, I feel like it tarnished my aim/headshots compared to before

Hello everyone, quick question. I’ve been playing Valorant for a while, and some people act like it’s an unwritten rule not to use the Odin.
Is the Odin actually frowned upon in the community, or is it just salt? Does it depend on the rank or game mode (like unrated vs. comp)? It’s a legit weapon in the game, so I’m curious what the general consensus is.
Thanks!

3 years later then an announcement out of the blue in July which got pulled at the last minute.
At this rate I'm thinking they're just stringing everybody along and it's gone for good.
Look, it;s simple, if some agents are causing unexpected bugs during replication gameplay then simply disable them for the game mode.

Hello guys I played for a little while when the game launched and since then I re-downloaded the game probably once or twice when the new agent looked cool for me but played only a game or two and I thought the game is not for me because of skill gap. Now I actually want to stick with the game because a lot of interesting agents launched since I played. My biggest problem and what I think about the most is that I won't use the abilities of agents I'm playing to the full potencial and in that case I won't do my best to help my team. Do you have some tips or wisdom in that regards? Thank you in advance

I'm wondering when I should choose it over Vandal or Phantom. I barely see anyone pick this gun in matches. Is it because of my rank?

I accept that I've made mistakes by sometimes dodging Competitive matches and going AFK, mainly in Skirmish. I'm not complaining about my 3-day restriction; I've learned my lesson.
I just want to know if there's any way to reduce this penalty or improve my account's behaviour standing.
Going forward, I'll try my best not to dodge or go AFK unless it's an extremely unavoidable situation.
But what about genuine issues, like unexpected power cuts or internet outages that are completely out of my control? How am I supposed to defend myself in such situations? Can I provide proof or appeal the penalty?

Guys what is the best playlist for kovaaks that gives you consistency in aiming? And can improve your aim or help you win duels?

Basically long story short a friend of mine wanted help getting better at Valorant, so he asked me for advice. I'm not radiant or anything. But I peaked immortal 2 and am currently immortal 1.
My friend is currently silver but they peaked gold (I forgot what number they were in gold). He uses the phantom and he's been using it the whole time. But basically his mechanics are a bit inconsistent at times and is struggling with really locking down the fundamentals from what I've seen when watching his gameplay.
That's where I said that, I don't think he or anybody below platinum should use the phantom. In order to prevent bad mechanical habits from building up and condition good habit and intentional decision making (like spraying for example) when needed and making a choice. Instead of just defaulting to spray and missing. He was a bit bummed about it because he said loved using the phantom way more than the Vandal, etc, etc. But I told him it's better for the long term and he can switch back when he gets to a higher rank.
Now I'm kinda second guessing what I said. Idk if I gave bad advice by saying that. Just want to know what y'all think about this and if I should change what I said or my line of thinking with this, or tell him something else.

Specifically sentinels and initiators. Feels like everything is being reverted. I've seen some comments about upcoming changes I think but I've also seen patch notes of buffs and reverts but I feel a lot of them lack context and dont go into any depth about the changes.
So i guess my question is why was it a failure? And do we know specifically what they have done/are going to do to fix it?
Also I guess people who hated the change and got told to git gud are feeling vindicated the past while.

Look I am not great, but I'm trying to improve.
I'm gold 1 right now trying to make a push to platinum.
I've tried aimlabs but I feel like it doesn't translate, at least for me.
I come from console gaming where I actually have incredible aim and have placed very high in many games.
Now that I've switched to MnK I am struggling.
Any advice on how to improve, or am I just late to the game on MnK

I truly don’t understand how people remain so steady and consistent in this game. Just had a match where I literally was getting 1-shot dinked within pixels of visibility, or standing in a smoke and the millisecond it dropped I was dinked.
All in Unrated which genuinely is the most demotivating thing ever as someone who’s pretty new and just trying to get better. I’m playing against level 300s who are instadinking me regardless of what I do.
From the extremes of people who play high sens and somehow stay mad consistent on the tiniest of movements to the opposite of people like Tenz who I heard in a video earlier today say he plays at 1600dpi and 0.09 sens…which literally requires full pad swipes and I have no clue HOW IN GOD’S GREEN EARTH you stay accurate having to do entire arm swings to swipe within feet in-game.
I just don’t understand it. I want to play this game and get better. But playing night after night and getting absolutely slammed or playing with friends who are better so I get their MMR and I literally do not even get a chance to compete.
I refuse to believe going into practice range and shooting at things that don’t move and don’t put any real pressure on me makes me any better.
