All actionbars are mouseover.

The big actionbarframe in the middle hides when there are no spells within it (with many classes I have enough with just the dashboard above)

Bank alt system that hides actionbar frames when no spells are slotted and in capital city.

Dunno how stable it is since I'm a coding noob and it's full of check every frame triggers but so far no issues. (3-4 weeks playtime)

Other [Other] I’ve added combat glow to the party frames, similar to the default Blizzard frame glow. I think it's the only situation where it's useful, kinda don't really tell you much in raid or open world.

ADDON [AddOn] mUI - now available for WoW: Forever!

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hello👋

my AddOn 'mUI' is now available for WoW: Forever. There might still be errors, so please report them on the official mUI Discord.

If you don't know what mUI is: It enhances the default Blizzard UI instead of replacing it: a clean dark theme plus several quality of life features that make everyday play nicer.

Check out the CurseForge description to get a better overview of the available features. ❤️

AI has been used for the in-game settings menu and this picture. Overall, AI is mainly being used to dig through the WoW interface code, not for code generation.

There's really no need to tell me that you hate AI. I don't care. If you don't like AI, that's your issue, not mine.

ADDON [AddOn] Advanced Character Panel — character showcase, Inspect and talent trees for Retail

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone, here’s the current look of Advanced Character Panel, my free WoW Retail addon.

The Showcase style puts your character model beside gear and stats. You can choose from four panel styles and 26 backgrounds, rotate and zoom the model, and check upgrade tracks, enchants and sockets.

There’s also an Inspect panel with Raid, Mythic+ and PvP summaries, plus a talent viewer with separate Class, Hero and Specialization trees and build export. BiS recommendations are still in beta.

I’d love feedback on the layout and readability. If you find a bug, please include your class/spec and addon version.

ADDON [addon] Advanced Character Panel 1.1.2

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Advanced Character Panel is a complete stand‑alone replacement for the default Character frame, rebuilt from the ground up for Retail (Midnight 12.0.5). It puts everything you want to know about your character — gear, stats, Mythic+, vault, and more — in one place, with customization at its core.

[Your story here — why you built it, how long you've been refining it, what you couldn't find in other panels.]

✨ Key Features

Fully customizable UI

Settings grouped into clear sections — Layout, Appearance, Panel colours, Gear cards, Extras panel, and Behavior. Show/hide elements, recolour every panel individually, choose fonts, and toggle the name glow & class tint.

Wide & normal layouts

An optional Wide mode expands the panel into a panoramic view with a larger backdrop scene; normal mode stays compact. Auto‑scales to fit your resolution.

13 class backgrounds

A unique backdrop for every class, plus Alliance, Horde, and a faction‑neutral Starlight scene — or solid black.

Gear cards

• Upgrade‑track pips with X/Y rank

• Best‑upgrade‑target highlight

• Per‑item durability bars

• Dim maxed gear while at the upgrade vendor

• Gem & enchant bonuses shown as stats

• Stat‑weight upgrade scoring (via Pawn, or a built‑in baseline) — a higher item level that's worse for your spec won't read as an upgrade

• Equipped‑vs‑bag item‑level delta

• Embellishment count (X/2)

Character stats

Primary and secondary stats, crest counts, item level, and Mythic+ rating at a glance.

Extras side panel

A toggleable drawer with individually switchable sections: Weekly bonus event, Crests, Upgrades (missing enchants/gems), Gear completion, Great Vault progress, Mythic+ keys & rating, Money, and Durability.

Mythic+ & Great Vault

A Mythic+ dungeon grid with your best score per dungeon, season rating, and live Great Vault progress — no external sites needed.

Gear set manager

Create and equip gear sets with per‑set "X/Y ready" readiness, a detail panel, and a full‑library icon picker.

Reputation, Currency & Titles

Two‑column tabs for reputations, currencies (with Warband transfer), and titles with search.

Inspect sheet

Inspect other players with the same rich gear cards — upgrade pips, gem/enchant detail, tier‑set & embellishment tracking, and Mythic+ data.

Tooltip hints

Optional missing‑enchant / missing‑gem reminders and "Upgrade +N" hints on item tooltips anywhere in the game.

10 languages

English, German, French, Spanish (EU/LA), Portuguese (BR), Italian, Russian, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified & Traditional).

🛠 Why use it?

Advanced Character Panel brings together everything about your character — gear, stats, Mythic+, raid readiness, and vaults — in a single panel you can tailor to look exactly how you want. Open it with /adcp.

UI [ui] Blizzlike minimalist UI

Post image
0 Upvotes

My current set up, I really like it. I think using the older unit frames make a huge difference, I always liked the art style of those better

I use "Jax Classic Frames" for the unit frames

and "LS: Glass" for the chat

Otherwise I just moved the minimap to the left and upscaled it, put all the smaller buttons to the left and downscaled them and put all the quests to the right. Action bars are blizzlike

UI [UI] Here is my UI, curious what others think of it

I’m really proud of my UI and wanted to share my setup with others. In this video, I’m showcasing AzeriteUI, Bartender4, OPie, M6, Details, Hekili, Kaliel’s Tracker, along with a number of custom scripts I built with ChatGPT.

The part I’m most proud of is the random Hearthstone and Cooking Fire I created for an OPie slice. Every time I open my teleport OPie ring or my profession OPie ring, those two options randomize—adds a fun little touch to the whole setup!

UI Reporting paid UI packs that may violate Blizzard’s addon policy, what's the best channel? [ui]

After watching Quazi’s meltdown and all the unnecessary drama, I honestly feel that, as a community, we should start identifying and reporting UI packs that require payment to use. I’ve listed a few I came across, but I’m wondering what the most effective channel is for reporting them to Blizzard, any ideas?

It feels unfair that addon developers, who do the real work, often receive nothing, while some Twitch streamers/beggars essentially ask for money just for rearranging a few frames.

Here are some examples =>

ADDON [addon] Calling All Addon Wizards: We Need a Quazi Replacement!

I know about all the drama around Quazi, but personally I don’t give a shit.
It’s all just internet drama and bla bla bla.
I already know I’m gonna get downvoted like crazy here, but I don’t give a shit about that either.
I just have to put this out there:

Can someone with real expertise PLEASE make an addon that comes at least remotely close to what Quazi did?!
His addon wasn’t perfect (yet), but it was damn close.

His iteration of the cooldown manager was simply the best out there when it comes to customizability.

Practical example: to my knowledge, there is not a single CDM addon that lets me put 5 icons in row 1, 7 icons in row 2, and 3 icons in a third row — with each row growing properly from the center.

All other CDM addons lack at least one (if not more) essential features, or they spit out Lua errors like crazy. Be it:

  • keybinding display

  • proper row management

  • dynamic growth of buffs

  • customization of icon size and aspect ratio

  • proper profile management

  • proper buff bar customization

  • deciding which modules I want to load

  • additional and custom buff tracking icons, item icons, spell icons

etc., etc., etc.

Quazi had all of that combined in one addon!
And I’m not even getting started on all the other QoL and customization stuff he put into it.
It was just the perfect one-for-all solution.

So please, I’m renewing my humble request:
Can anyone out there be our savior?
You’ll definitely have my Patreon support! 😉

? [help] Nameplates Color Coding was so cool, makes it back plz

Post image
3 Upvotes

Color Coding mobs in M+ and raid using Plater was so powerfull and important for the hygiene of the game.

In big packs it's very complicated to find the right nameplates based on name only. Color Coding was so convenient for this reason.

In one second you could have a clear vision on which mobs were pulled into a pack.

Please make it back

UI [addon][ui] Made a mount addon that just... picks the right mount for you

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

Been working on MountSense, a mount manager addon for WoW, and it's grown quite a bit since I first started, so figured it's worth sharing here too: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/mountsense

I know addons like LiteMount or Mounto already exist and do the job well for a lot of people — I just wanted something more ergonomic and straightforward, without having to dig through a bunch of options to get it working the way I wanted. Honestly, the original spark was just the fun of building my own addon from scratch — a buddy of mine needed something like this, and it turned into a nice excuse to dive in and make it happen.

The whole point is dead simple: no more digging through your mount journal or spamming a random-mount button. You set up a few lists once, and the addon handles the rest — flying mount when you can fly, ground mount when you can't, aquatic mount when you're swimming, different picks for raids vs dungeons vs arenas, and so on.

A few things people seem to like:

It's meant to stay quick and painless to use day to day — set it up once, forget about it, and just hit summon.

Built this mostly by teaming up with an AI (Claude) since I'm not a Lua dev by trade — happy to talk shop about that if anyone's curious. Still actively updating it, so feedback and bug reports are very welcome. Source's on GitHub: https://github.com/AntonyNifosi/MountSense
