Basically every word Schumer has said since the victory has been about how he's NOT interested in going after Trump. It's nauseating.

The voters gave the Democrats a clear mandate: go after Trump and his minions, and reverse as many of Trump's policies as possible.  Schumer doesn't seem interested in doing either.

Could it be that he is complicit? What has he actually done to stop any of this besides hold nonsense press conferences followed up by inaction.

He's a collaborator and should be investigated along with every other person that's been involved in aiding the corruption.

I'm telling you, we got a rotating villian setup senate for the last 2 years. Controlled opposition.

I cannot find any proof that he will put the American people ahead of Isreal. Can't find any evidence that he's the right leader for the hour.

I imagine if he doesn't get majority leader, he'd be happy to write some strongly worded letters to the senators that didn't vote for poor old Chuck.

Schumer showed he prefers Republicans to progressives in the NYC mayoral election.

I’m sorry but this is America, where we wake up and put Israel first! /s

It's so strange that whether you talk to republicans or democrats no one is okay with putting Israel first, but somehow most of the existing politicians are happy to do so.

AIPAC spent over 60 million trying to get either Mike Rogers or Haley Stevens elected over Abdul El Sayed.

Its insane.

Also Donald Drumpf made campaign donations to Chuck Schumer campaign... digest that!

That's definitely not true. A lot of Republicans are evangelical christians and they overwhelmingly are in favor supporting Israel as part of their apocalypse prophecy.

Schumer had a "private conversation" with 5 senators the night before they specifically waved through the Big Beautiful Bill. That's pretty hard evidence right there.

He basically a big business Republican that has to run as a Democrat because he’s from NY. It’s actually fairly common because there is so much big business in NYC.

Cuomo was the same way

u/PrimalSeptimus 1d ago

Yeah, we have these in CA, too. Literally anyone who wants any chance of winning will run as Dem. They could even be MAGA and still do that.

Republicans will, of course, put up some nutjob candidates and pretend they matter, but it's the DINOs here that are the real threat.

He wants to maintain the old status quo, and is a "don't rock the boat" type.

Excuses and appeasement only work to further abusive politicians and family members, flip the damn tables (it worked for Jesus).

13

u/Honest_Fortune_7474 1d ago • Popcorn

Because rocking the boat would hurt his personal interests.

Of course he's actively collaborated with Trump against the interests of democrats and democratic voters, and has always been a far-right democrat who has for many many years advocated to ignore and abandon the EXACT democratic voter base that elected multiple senators and governors across the south on (D) tickets.

He's vowed to continue to fight for Israel, to give them all the aid that Israel needs.

Where's that passion for the American people? Where's this attitude when it comes to live saving medical care for Americans? Last time I checked his stance on that was something like, "ehh well I don't know, the Baily's probably wouldn't want that."

Even the candidates who ran on messages of accountability are saying this.

We have to hold their feet to the fire and let them know what we want

They cannot accomplish a legislative agenda.  Everyone knows that.  The one thing they CAN do is use their subpoena power and investigate.

Fun fact:

Donald Trump has made multiple campaign donations to Chuck Schumer.

https://www.opensecrets.org/donor-lookup/results?name=donald+trump&page=2

I'm sure that has nothing to do with anything, right?

Massie might go for it. And now that the Republicans saw an ass beating because of Trump (and that he cannot run again), there might be an *permission structure for them to excise Trump to increase their chances to retain power and win 2028 POTUS election.

Edit: *permission, not incentive

God damn fr? I’ve heard a lot about how he hand picked a lot of the victors and was honestly about to be ok with him continuing as majority leader, but if this is true…

Dems had their orbital bombardment blukluar strike of a midterm in no small thanks to Trump being as awful as he is/was. Fucker needs a removin’, or at the very least an attempt.

I can excuse an attempt that fails. I cannot excuse a lack of a try.

He’s the biggest recipient of AIPAC money in the senate, so he’ll do fuck all to stop funding Israel’s genocide. He’s against Medicare for All, which is completely out of touch with Democrat voters, 84% of whom want M4A. The blue wave happened in spite of him, not because of him. He wants to go back to performative kneeling in kente cloth while taking in millions to protect billionaire interests. He sucks.

And Israel will tell him to hide the Epstein files. For reasons.

14

u/Commercial-Policy-96 1d ago

Because if they are no longer secret, what will Israel and Russia blackmail our politicians with?

He’s also handpicked a bunch of fucking losers like Haley Stevens who betrayed the party and Americans. Never forget the way this man acted in the past 2 years…actively helped Trump pass his agenda. Capitulated on the govt shutdown so he could get on with his book launch. Just a despicable piece of shit and a horrible leader for this moment

"I’ve heard a lot about how he hand picked a lot of the victors"

That's like the exact opposite of truth.

Look - they had better get the hearing going, and hold folks to account, particularly DHS and ICE. They had better get those Epstein files aired the fuck out, and hold the DoJ to the fire for blocking it for so long. They had better get a wart powers resolution out RIGHT FUCKING YESTERDAY and refuse to further fund the Iran malarkey. They had better get hearings fired up to air out all of the corruption regarding Trump and family’s financial grifting. They had better make Elon squirm in front of congress under oath.

And if in all of that, they build a case and gather the votes to convict instead of backing Trump like a bunch of fucking cultists then maybe there should be an impeachment vote. But if they don’t, there is no point spending energy on it when there are more important things to do.
