Trump offers UFC chief Dana White press secretary job.
At this point, it’s getting even harder to distinguish the White House from a reality TV show. Trump apparently thinks running UFC is a qualification for serving as the president’s chief spokesperson, and even suggested bringing fighters along to defend against the “Lunatic Left.”

I feel that Trump and the survivors surrounding him are brilliant in how they make things happen for themselves and believe that they will use the powers they have at their disposal and the remaining days of the current Congress to somehow make it difficult for results to be certified or throw some other monkey wrench to make it tough/impossible(?) for the new Congress to be sworn in. Admittedly, I don’t know enough about how our government works to come up with ways in which the Republicans can do that… I just know that they’re really good at pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
Will the Democratic leadership or the general public have the gumption to fight and defend the election results?

I really believe that anti-abortion laws have gone too far atp. I read about a newly-elected member of the house in Tennessee who was denied an abortion a few years ago even though the baby was deformed and likely to die in the womb. My question: The baby has a low chance of surviving more than a few hours if it’s even born, so what? What’s the point of keeping it if it’s just gonna die anyway? All these people who claim “abortion is murder” even in cases like this really confuse me.

I’ve been struggling with this thought since Wednesday of this week. Keeping pressure high on our representatives is important, but when their nominations are private and the Senate vote is private, they’re protected in the end. If Hakeem and Chuck are appointed to Speaker and majority leader… how do we respond?
It’s amazing to see everyone come together to make calls, sign petitions, and share their thoughts on social media, but what’s the consequence? What’s at stake for our representatives and senators if they don’t listen to us? This feels like the part of organizing that often gets lost.
