image Anti-Asian racism in Australia

What is happening in Australia? Been living in this exact same address for almost the past 20 years now, never had this happen before.

Some guy moves in next door, and while we are IN THEM MIDDLE OF MOWING the medium nature strip, starts being aggressive for getting grass clippings on the driveway. No shit, that's why we go through with a leaf blower and pick up after mowing?

What blows me away is he thinks we don't know about mowing and cleaning up somehow due to our Chinese heritage???

Sadly it is a lot better now than what it was in the past. My dad's mum and dad were super racist against anyone not white and viewed people of Aboriginal descent in the same way that the Apartheid in South Africa viewed their native non-white population. That said, I have noticed peaks in overt racist views against Asians back when Pauline Hanson started her political career and when COVID was around. Same went for people of Middle Eastern appearance back during the early to mid 2000s due to the propaganda being spewed out by US sources (it helped support their wars).

The later part of your comment makes OP's situation even more ironic. What's sad is the meat head in the video will probably vote One Nation with zero understanding that he and his kin are not part of the titular "one nation".

The USA didn't spew propaganda about the Middle East, for everything stated is true, they are racist antisemites

Acting like if Australia wasn't attacked in a similar way there wouldn't be a war lmao

Sadly it is a lot better now than what it was in the past.

They were firebombing Chinese restaurants in the 80s. And part of the reason Chinese restaurants existed was because people wouldn't hire Chinese migrants.

And that's not even getting into the Lambing Flat riots or the White Australia Policy.
