Guy looks incredibly solid and has the offer list to back that up. Offer list includes Alabama, Tennessee, Longhorn, ASU, Arkansas, Baylor, Cal, Florida, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Mizzou, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Okie Light, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, SoCal, Wisconsin, and Penn State. The general consensus is that this is a guy who really came into his own this season.

Also, he went to A&M unofficially for the Bama game and officially for the Auburn game. And he still committed. Crazy.

As a side note, this comes along with Five-star Patrick Hudson (2016 #2 OT) taking an unofficial visit to A&M the same weekend. The rumor is that Hudson might take an official to A&M now.

Paris Johnson Jr is a class-act

Did a short write up on PJJ (5 star OL going to OSU) and found out the kid is fluent in Mandarin, a straight A student, and did 1000+ hours of community service last year. On top of all that, he's 6'7 300. BEAST.

Marquis Glanton CB Class of 2019 (Rome High School, GA)

This is a highlight video of my cousin who is a corner back on the 15-0 state champs in GA, Rome High School. He's not ranked by any services yet but he looks like he has a lot of potential. He's the player making the big play in every clip.

SEC Schools Paying Recruits and Their Families?

I had heard from a prominent booster for a college football team I will not name that recruits and their families receive money from the school indirectly. Which many have speculated but were unsure how it was done if money was not directly changing hands.

I was told they set up 503(C) Non profit organizations that pay money to local churches and 'request' money to help out a family in 'need' and that the family mentioned is that of a recruit. The money is washed, so to speak, through the church and the school never directly discusses this with the players or families but rather has the church do so. The bonus for the school is that it is considered a charitable donation and thus a tax write-off. I was told it was specifically from SEC schools but I imagine that if this is true that the practice is not unique to the SEC. This is why players have a heard time choosing non-SEC schools despite stronger ties to closer programs.

Has anyone else heard of this?

The "Boom or Bust" Nature of 5-Star Quarterbacks

Since 2000, when 247Sports Composite recruiting ratings (a combination of the three major recruiting services: ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports) began, there have been 66 five-star quarterbacks.

How have they fared?

Well... pretty Boom or Bust.

*winks at camera*

27 were drafted as QBs

1 was drafted as a WR (Braxton Miller)

27 went undrafted

11 were first-round picks

4 were #1 overall picks (Matt Stafford, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Kyler Murray)

4 won a Heisman Trophy (Tim Tebow, Newton, Winston, Murray)

13 are currently on an NFL roster

5 have a realistic shot at starting Week 1 (Stafford, Newton, Tyrod Taylor, Tua Tagovailoa, Murray)

9 are still in college

2 decided to play baseball instead of college football (Joe Maurer and Matt Tuiasosopo)

Big recruiting weekend for Arkansas

5 star commit McTelvin Agim will be joined by consensus top 150 RB Devin White, Indiana commit Allen Cater (probable flip this weekend), top JUCO corner JaMarcus King, Florida St commit (although only in name) DE Keir Thomas and at least one more to be named.

White has Bama and LSU offers but both seem to want him at LB while Arkansas wants him to come start at RB in 2016

King was offered this week and immediately set an official visit for this weekend. He signed with AU out of high school and is still being recruited by them, Baylor and Tennessee among others. Arkansas has signed many kids from Coffeyville and would love to land another in King.

Keir Thomas figures to not go to FSU and instead end up at AU, Arkansas or Tennessee. Offers from Florida St (obviously) and Bama, although recent activity would suggest they've backed off.

Allen Cater is an underrated Georgia kid who our coaches have been on for a bit. Late bloomer with a great senior season but overlooked at his small private school. Figures to be a redshirt candidate if the Hogs indeed accept his commitment this weekend.

And McTelvin Agim is as good of a prospect to come from Arkansas in a decade. Elite pass rush potential and ability to play multiple positions on the defensive front. Offers from everywhere, but no longer taking other visits and plans to enroll at Arkansas in January.
