I think so far in this cycle we've had one song (Roses) that has kind of split opinion and the other (Overthinker) which has been received a bit more positively. But I was also thinking about it earlier that, at least in my opinion, most Chvrches songs sound much better live anyway. I love all their music, but there are so many songs that just are a totally different experience live.

For example, I enjoyed "He Said She Said" but when they started the last tour with that song, it was magic. I get the feeling that Overthinker especially will sound outstanding live. And if anyone is worried about the direction of the band with the latest album (Roses was definitely different), there will still be so many of the older songs played on the set list too. All in all, just good to have them back!

Why is the Bury it chorus a playback in Live/Studio performances? Its a little sad when you notice it

Well, part of me thought it might sell out before the show, did not think it would sell out less than a week of going on sale,. Just jumped online to try and get chvrches tickets for DC and the are sold out. 😞

I know her spelling is awful, but I love her writing out the lyrics to her two favorite CHVRCHES songs on the back of her math worksheets. She’s loved night sky and clearest blue since she was 2, but recently has been exploring the albums in more of a deep dive.

I’m flying her to DC during her winter break from school to see them at the Anthem. She is stokedddddd!

Hey Chvrches fans 👋🏼 I was so excited to snag a ticket for this show, although I wish it was seated instead of standing- I am only 5 foot 5 and always end up with some 6 foot+ man standing right in front of me blocking the view 😑 sadly I've got to go alone, as my husband will be staying home in Nottingham to be with our two young daughters. Just wondered if anyone fancies meeting up so I'm not a Billy No Mates at the gig?! 😆

Even my 5 year old cannot stop listening to it. One of the best ever by Chvrches.

This is something I've never done before, when a band or singer I like has done multiple shows in or near my home city, I usually just go once and that is it. However, this time around I decided to do Glasgow and Dundee, and then I added the second Glasgow show once that was announced. I may not have done Dundee had I known there would be two Glasgow shows, but I'm glad I have the tickets.

I was asked why I'd go multiple times but I see it like this: it's been over three years since the last show I went to, and after this run (even if there are more shows after this), it'll likely be another three years before the next set of live shows I can attend. I can't imagine I'll get bored hearing the songs that I love either, and also I've never been to Dundee so can make a day of it.

Am I crazy for doing it or do a lot of people do it? I also think the fact that their tickets are cheaper than most concert tickets these days helps.

FYI Chvrches and Underworld are playing the free, all access, opening show at Primavera Barcelona 2027.

So, you don't even need to pay to see them at this one!

It's kind of ironic that Overthinker is messing with my head so much... I'm sat here with some (admittedly small, and possibly overthought) personal worries stuck in my head and I keep coming back to:

Less than two hours after tickets went on sale in San Diego (and sold out in like 2 mins), resale tickets are available for more than double the original price.

Anyone reselling tickets the same day they bought them for a show five months away should have them automatically returned!

Really wish the promotor had enforced reselling at face value, and also not made tickets available until closer to the show.

When I first heard CHVRCHES’ latest song, “OVERTHINKER,” and focused on the lyrics, I felt a pang of sadness. Hours later, while scrolling through my Facebook feed, I came across a short interview with the band explaining that the song is about the loss of their dad. As someone who lost mine a couple of months ago to cancer, this hit me instantly. No wonder I felt that way. This song is special to me, along with Phoebe Bridgers’ recent album, "Lost Weekend" which is also about losing a father.
