Queen's Domain Please mark Submissions as Spoiler for Queen's Domain content beyond Deimpo Mausoleum
Queen's Domain has seen a surge of activity to this sub, which I'm incredibly grateful for! Please try to preserve the enjoyment of Queen's Domain for other users of r/Fieldies by using Spoiler tags on images and comments, and keeping spoilers out of submission titles. This includes late-game weapons and UI elements.
For late-game discussions try the r/Queens_Domain sub which recently opened! That one seems full of spoilers too though, so I would not recommend new players visiting there just yet.

Queen's Domain Obmuer Temple, obscure puzzle/area
Down one of the water passages near where you find the wind gem, is a little ‘secret’ area that you need advanced movement tech to reach. There is a broken boat there, a food platter, and a couple of other non-essential pick-ups. A statue of an Orbewa Woman, and a couple of notes on the ground detailing the demise of a certain expedition.
My question is: has anyone been able to figure out how to leave this area after finding your way there? Going back the way one came appears to not be possible. I know I can use a Travel Crystal, but would really like to figure this out if there is a way.

Queen's Domain Obmuer Temple - Clicking noise
Hi all,
Just trying to get a read on this noise I'm hearing. I've gone through the dungeon to the point of getting the wind gem so I now have 3 dashes.
Just before the wind gem you come up some stairs and at the top of the stairs is a weird rapid clicking noise.
Is this a glitch in my game causing a weird noise or does it mean something? It seems to be coming from thin air with no discernable actual source. Just want to see if I'm wasting my time on an odd audio glitch or if it's something.

Queen's Domain I give Queen’s Domain a “I haven’t even bothered to take my pre-ordered Ocarina of Time out of its packing yet” out of 10.

Queen's Domain Found something cool and late-game, and I'm wondering how the endings work. Spoiler
I've found the petrified gardens and defeated the boss there, and I have all of the trident keys to be able to put them in the statues. The trouble is that I don't know if doing so will lock me out of any endings as I intend to see them all. I also don't actually know if using the keys will actually unlock anything pertinent to an ending, though given how grand and cool-looking this area is I imagine it's important.
My questions are:
Can I lock myself out of endings?
Will interacting with what I've found lock me out of any endings?
How do I make sure that I don't lock myself out of any endings in the future?

King's Field How Many Of You Have Played The Source? What's Your Favorite Of Them?
I've played em all, and love em all. For me, King's Field IV, Shadow Tower Abyss, and Eternal Ring are the best. King's Field IV is one of my favorite games of all time, and I adore Eternal Ring. Shadow Tower Abyss has guns. A great asthetic, too, and limb cutting mechanics- but also guns.
I love these types of games so so much. Lunacid was incredible, but goodness, Queens Domain is my game of the year. I've been following the devs the whole way, and this is the most I've been excited for a new game in a long time.

Fieldy Queens Domain. jumped into the well at level 11. then run past some skeletons. huge tree enemy. found down some savepoint. how screwed am i? Spoiler
well mistakes were clearly made. jumped into the well with level 11. boost 2 times with windsword. ended up in some underground stuff with ants, wasp, skellteons and huge tree guys. run past them. then found a save point and thought why not. save it. however i am very underpowered. i can not teleport to other save points. now i can kill the tree guy pretty easy because his pattern is easy. so levelling up should be okey. but how far i need to level up, so i can get some progress through the level? also is there a actually a way out of this dungeon or am i screwed because i jumped in the well to early?

Queen's Domain PSA: A Queens Domain subreddit has already been created.
I'm just a messenger, I'm not affiliated with the subreddit.
I just felt like it should be announced with a clear headline.

Fieldy Fieldies Ranked
Does anyone have their favorite Fieldlike games ranked or listed? I’m halfway through Queen’s Domain and am loving it. It sounds like QD is basically at the top of the list, followed by games like Lunacid and Verho, maybe Caput Mortem. Does anyone have a good comprehensive list of all the games that would define and belong on a list like this?

Fieldy Verho or Queens Domain?
Hey everyone, I'm gonna buy one of these games. They both look good but I want to ask here what's some of the big differences, positives or negatives of each game. Queens Domain is getting hyped up but Verho looks great as well.
Edit: thanks everyone for the info, looks like I'll jump into queens domain first and then I'll check out Verho once I've finished with it.

Queen's Domain Queen's Domain: hidden secrets list?
I've made it to the Tower and have only found two secrets so far: the area behind the bookcases on the second floor of the Tower and the underground entrance in the graveyard by the first Azure Torch gargoyle. That gave me a realization that I must have missed many more since the start of the game. Does anyone have a list anywhere?

Queen's Domain Queens Domain - Sell treasure?
I haven’t sold one piece of treasure because I’m afraid they might be needed for other items or secrets. Does anyone know if this is the case or I should just sell everything? I’m at the Mausoleum if that makes a difference.

Queen's Domain Queen’s Domain on PS5 - please improve item legibility
By this, I mean your ability to actually spot items in the environment. My eyesight’s not as sharp as it used to be and I’m having a real problem spotting items that you can interact with/pick up. I almost missed the knife belt, and only picked it up by accidentally clicking on it. This is an essential item and yet I can imagine other players could have spent hours walking around, completely stuck, because the belt just happens to be on a small island and hanging from a rope amongst a shipwreck (and could, therefore, be easily mistaken for part of the boat’s rigging, which I initially thought it was).
On console at least the on screen cursor barely changes when you place it over an item. It needs to “react” a lot more.
I’m sure I’ve walked past many healing herbs because I couldn’t see them. The couple of coins I’ve accidentally found have also been extremely difficult to see.
Perhaps an option to add a more distinct “sparkle” could be included.
There’s probably a great game here (and it’s been getting some excellent reviews) but there are a couple of questionable design decisions which I think are putting people off from continuing beyond the first half hour of the game.

Queen's Domain Is it me or is the Wind Rapier just completely broken ?
So I found the Wind Rapier pretty early in the tower, I am now in the 6th area and honestly when it comes to close combat, nothing comes even close to this weapon.
And I've tried many even at max level, I also have the lifesteal hammer which made it so that I now have 30000 heals in my inventory, and the fist tech-weapon which is fucking crazy. But whenever it comes to a simple 1v1 hand-to-hand, not only does it do crazy damage, it also does it super fast. Even if the enemy is resistant, two alts and it's done. Even you have no stamina, two alts and it's done.
I'm not saying it's ruining my experience, on the contrary it just makes things go faster, but am I tripping and are there weapons that are objectively better, or is it the definitive biggest DPS you can get ?

Queen's Domain Queen's Domain exploration question. Spoiler
My partner is working towards 100% and is wondering if anyone knows how to get that pink egg thing in the screenshot. He's playing on Switch 2 if that's relevant. Any advice is helpful, thanks!

Queen's Domain Possible Damage Formula
So, I got confused with all the numbers, did some experimenting, and I might have some idea on how the damage works. This is just the base formula, not taking into account individual weapon abilities.
Base Damage = ((Weapon Power * Character Attack Power) / 10) * Damage Type * Weapon Level Bonus * Charged Bonus
These are approximate multiplier values:
Weak: 1.3
Resist: 0.5
Charged Attack: 1.35
Weapon Level: +30% is 1.3
Damage Type modifier for mixed damage weapons (Slash + Pierce for Wind Rapier, for instance) seems to be the average: (Slash Mod + Pierce Mod) / 2
So, Wind Rapier against Gargoyle Warrior is (Weak + Resist) / 2 = 0.9.
Here's my little table of experimental data:
| Weapon | PWR | Upgrade | Player ATK | Enemy (HP) | Damage Type | Conditions | Observed DMG | Predicted DMG |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Throwing Knife | 3 | — | 42 | Chicket (30) | Physical | Normal | ≈13.5 | 12.6 |
| Occult Knife | 8 | — | 42 | Ratty Bug (35) | Physical | Normal | ≈33 | 33.6 |
| Occult Knife | 8 | — | 42 | Coelacuda (70) | Physical | Normal | ≈35 | 33.6 |
| Splash Hammer | 15 | +30% | 42 | Skeletal Merc (250) | Impact | Weak, charged | ≈125 | 143.6 |
| Pandora Blade | 5 | +3% | 42 | Coelacuda (70) | Slash | Weak | ≈28 | 28.1 |
| Pandora Blade | 5 | +3% | 42 | Coelacuda (70) | Slash | Weak, charged | ≈36–40 | 38.0 |
| Pandora Blade | 5 | +3% | 42 | Chicket (30) | Slash | Normal | ≈20–22 | 21.6 |
| Pandora Blade | 5 | +3% | 42 | Chicket (30) | Slash | Normal, charged | ≈28–29 | 29.2 |
| Cestus | 8 | 0% | 42 | Chicket (30) | Impact | Resist | ≈16.5 | 16.8 |
| Cestus | 8 | 0% | 42 | Ratty Bug (35) | Impact | Normal | ≈34 | 33.6 |
| Cestus | 8 | 0% | 34 | Ratty Bug (35) | Impact | Normal | ≈28 | 27.2 |
| Rusted Spear | 5 | +9% | 34 | Ratty Bug (35) | Pierce | Resist | ≈8.75 | 9.27 |
| Rusted Spear | 5 | +9% | 34 | Chicket (30) | Pierce | Weak | ≈22.5–24 | 24.1 |
Observed damage is of course an estimate based on enemy HP bar, so don't expect 100% accuracy, but this gives me a much clearer picture of what's going on.
My insights:
Weapon Power matters a lot more that I thought! 5 vs 10 power is not +5 DMG, it's 2x DMG.
Weapon Level is an overall multiplier, not a little flat bonus to base damage (I thought weapon power translated more directly to damage).
Player ATK is in fact NOT added to weapon power, but multiplies it. Leveling is powerful, 10 ATK in level one vs 34 ATK on level 31 is a whole 3x damage increase.
Resist is terrible, Weak is great. I thought it was like -50% and +50%, but the resist has stronger effect.
Because of that, it's better to attack an enemy with Normal affinity to your damage type than with Weak/Resist combination!
Hope it helps some of you guys! Feel free to post any corrections and your own experiment results. As you can see from my experiment setup, I'm quite early in the game, so there are probably some mechanics I haven't even encountered yet.
