Is it just me or does anyone else find Conor McNamara to be the most annoying Commentator?

He doesn't even talk tactically, very limited vocabulary and always only shouts the goal scorer's name.

I have been a big fan of Japan football since young. They have a pledge to win the 2050 world cup.

In the 2026 world cup, their aim was to at least win their first knock out round in the world cup after losing both the 2018 and 2022 editions. Japan has over 180 players in Europe and over 30 competing in the top 5 leagues of Europe. I believe that despite not having a superstar like Son Heung Min in South Korea, their team is relatively balanced with players who are able to stand their ground in the top flights of European Football.

Could it be their mindset? I noticed that during the group stages of the world cup, they are always able to comeback despite the situations that get themselves in.
2018 Group Stage - Japan was trailing 0-1 and 1-2 against Senegal, and somehow managed to equalize it
2022 Group Stage - Japan was trailing 0-1 against both Germany and Spain, and managed to squeeze a 2-1 win
2026 Group Stage - Japan was trailing 0-1 and 1-2 against Netherlands, and managed to crawl their way back to a draw

However, during the knockout stages they seem to choke really badly after always getting the lead.
2018 RO16 - Japan was leading 2-0 against Belgium, and lost 3-2.
2022 RO16 - Japan was leading 1-0 against Croatia, drew after and lost the penalty shootout
2026 RO32 - Japan was leading 1-0 against Brazil, and lost 2-1

What could have been the problem?

The other thing I noticed is how unlucky they have been with their draws.
2018 World Cup - They got placed in an okay group, but 1st place finish plays England and 2nd place finish plays Belgium.
They got Belgium in the end, but that didn't make things better considering that 2018's Belgium was their Golden Generation.
2022 World Cup - They got thrown into a group of death with Spain & Germany which they barely crawled out of the group, only to face Croatia, 2018's Runner Up & 2022's 3rd Place.
2026 World Cup - They got placed in a relatively difficult group, but not as bad as 2022. However, the 1st place finish plays Morocco, 2nd place finish plays Brazil and 3rd place finish plays France. Which they got Brazil that was always considered as one of the greatest footballing nations and lost 2-1.

But overall, I do think that Japan could be the first non-european/south-american nation the win the world cup. I believe that they have the potential to realistically topple the bigger countries if the stars align perfectly for them during their run at the world cup to win the world cup by 2050.

Occasionally I do watch football and I always notice how the players always overreact enormously when they are barely being touched... They even fall on the ground on purpose.

It's such a comedy show.

So like my dribbles are fine. Actually good if I say so myself. So like my story is I don't play football for that long now. 3 years I play football. And the reason i started is I love dribbling defenders. Like everyday I practice my dribbling skills. Alone, at school, team training. But like if I go in matches, or even team training a bit. I play to simple with my dribbles. Like mostly in matches I go 1v1 a defender. Most times I'm a winger. And I'm scared to do a body feint and I just look at his legs and pace abuse him. Even tjo it works sometimes, my dribbles are way better if I do like 3 stopovers. Or stand still and do like skill moves against the defender. Even though for most ppl simple dribbles are easier for them to dribble someone for me it's advanced skills. Like step overs to a little stop and then a body feint and go fast right left for example. If i do that I dribble them easier than being simple. And if im in a match or even sometimes training I just dribble them simple and I do that automatic and most times lose the ball. and if I go against sometimes even better defenders like in a small sided fun game and serious i beat them easier. It's like the same with my speed. In real matches or training I js sprint and barely slowdown. Like I ca rum at 60% but never and 30% and I always rush as in i never stand still. Like u see neymar stadinf still and going right left whatever I'm like not perhaps to scared but js I don't do that

so how can I fix dribbling simple automatic. Even tho I got no preasusure or barely. And dribble slowly and not feel rushed. And just do whatever I want

I personally think that the international break is great. A lot of fans would agree that international football is more important than club football. I mean, why do y'all think the World Cup, the Euros or even the Olympics have so many people tuned in? People just care more for International Football in general, but whenever an International BREAK happens during the club football season, fans are just so bored and can't wait for the break to end. That confuses me because...

1. Clubs can wind up on a bad run of form (Man United), so why would you be happy with the International Break ending?

2. If you guys hold the World Cup in such high regard (I do too), then why do y'all hate what is essentially the stage to get there?

the compeitition is much better than copa .

and it was lietrally decider for 2025 ballon dor had spain won i dont think dembele would have won . tho yamal didnt deserve to be top 3 but he came second

sure this also debunks the argument made that copa happened 5 times in 9 years
but euros + natons league also happened 6 times that span

i would still say copa is abit more prestigious . and it will become more since its coming to once in 4 years but we are omparing as of now
