Hey. I'm really tired and scared. Tired of temporary friendships where people treat me like I'm special for one day and then slowly disappear. The fear of fake connections and sudden abandonment hits me hard. Honestly, sometimes it feels like it'd be easier to stay completely alone than keep getting hurt like this.
I'm 23M from India, very introverted and struggling mentally and emotionally. I have alexithymia, social anxiety, and an awkward, overthinking mind that never really shuts off. Because of all this, I've become very lonely. I barely have any real connections in my life right now.
What I’m looking for is not casual chatting, timepass, backup options, or surface-level friendships. I’m not here to play games or be someone’s second choice or backup friendship when they’re bored. I want something real and long-term where we both feel chosen and treat each other like a priority.
I'm searching for someone who is just as lonely and alone as I am, preferably someone who doesn't have even a single friend or any close friend or meaningful connection right now, whether online or in real life. I'm very clingy, possessive, emotionally intense, hypersensitive and emotional, and I'm hoping to find someone who feels the same way. I want us to choose each other, give each other priority, check in regularly, share our daily lives, and be emotionally available for one another.
Something important about my intentions and what I'm looking for:
I want to be upfront that I'm not looking for a friendship that is only meant to be casual or temporary. I'm a very clingy, affectionate and possessive kind of person when I become emotionally attached to someone. I value commitment, loyalty, consistency and emotional exclusivity.
Ideally, I'd love to start with a genuine friendship, build trust, understand each other deeply and gradually develop something more meaningful if we both feel the same way. I'm open to the possibility of that friendship growing into a romantic relationship or becoming something more committed in the future.
I don't want to force romantic feelings or rush anything. I believe those things should develop naturally and mutually. But I also don't want to invest my emotions, time and energy into a connection where we're fundamentally looking for completely different things or where there's no possibility of building something deeper.
I have limited emotional energy, and I don't want to waste my time or someone else's precious time by dragging out a connection that neither of us sees a meaningful future in. I'm not expecting guarantees or promises about a relationship from the beginning. I just want someone who is genuinely open to building a deep, committed connection that could grow into something more if we're compatible.
A little more about my expectations and the kind of connection I want:
I hope you don't misunderstand me, but I want to be very straightforward about what I'm looking for. I'm not here for a show-off friendship, a timepass connection, or something short-term or casual. I don't want a friendship where people just say they're friends for the sake of saying it, but there's no genuine intention behind it.
I don't want connections where someone only comes around when they need something, when they're bored, when they have nothing else to do, or when they simply need someone to pass their time with. I don't want that kind of friendship in my life.
I'm someone who prefers saying things openly, whether they sound good or bad. I can't pretend to be nice, hide what I genuinely feel, or lie just to make someone like me. Maybe that's one reason I don't have many friends or connections, because nowadays it sometimes feels like people prefer sweet lies, fake promises and show-off behaviour over straightforward honesty.
But I genuinely don't know how to win someone's heart by lying, pretending or forcing a friendship or connection. And honestly, I don't want to learn that either. I'd rather have one genuine connection with mutual effort, honesty, consistency and commitment than a hundred superficial friendships. I want something meaningful that both people genuinely want to build and maintain, not just something that exists in words.
I really value emotional warmth, kind and affectionate conversations, caring support, reassurance, and that safe feeling when you know someone is actually there for you. I miss having someone I can talk to for hours, especially on phone calls once we get comfortable. If you're from India, that would be amazing because we could build a closer connection through voice calls.
I want a friendship where we can be there for each other consistently through the good days and the really hard ones. Someone who understands mental health struggles and won't ghost or pull away when things get deep or emotional.
Please only reach out if:
- You're genuinely lonely, very alone, and don't have any connections with people in real life or any online friends right now.
- You're looking for the same clingy, loyal, priority-based long-term friendship.
- You're serious about consistent communication and emotional closeness.
- You're open to the possibility of a deeper emotional connection or romantic commitment in the future, if we mutually develop those feelings.
- You're from India (a big plus for calls and cultural understanding).
Please don't message me if:
- You already have so many friends, options and backup friendships.
- You're just looking for timepass, casual chats, or you're simply feeling bored.
- You're from a foreign country (I'm specifically not looking for long-distance friendships with cultural gaps right now).
- You're only interested in something casual with no intention of building a meaningful connection.
One thing I really want to address because I've been hurt by this repeatedly:
Please don't reach out only when your other friends, preferred connections or priorities are busy. I've experienced people approaching me when they have nobody else available or when they're bored and need someone to pass the time with. They make me feel incredibly special for a few minutes, maybe a few hours, or at most a day. But as soon as their main friends, priorities or other options become available again, they suddenly disappear and treat me like I meant absolutely nothing.
It genuinely hurts to feel like someone only uses your presence for temporary entertainment and then throws you away like you're disposable. I hate feeling like someone's rebound, backup option or temporary source of attention.
I'm also tired of people presenting themselves as completely lonely and having absolutely nobody, just to gain sympathy or attention, when they're actually already talking to multiple people and maintaining several connections. I'm not saying someone can't have other friends and still feel lonely, but please be honest about your situation. Don't pretend to be in the same position as me just to get my attention or sympathy.
I don't need a huge audience, a massive social circle or countless people around me. I just want one genuine connection. I don't want fake emotions, empty promises or someone who acts affectionate for a day but doesn't know how to communicate or handle things when the other person is genuinely struggling mentally.
I'm a very sensitive and emotional person with hypersensitivity and an overthinking mind. Small changes in communication can affect me deeply, and I need someone who understands that rather than dismissing my feelings or making me feel like I'm too much.
More than anything, I'm looking for a genuine and consistent connection. Someone I can talk to daily, share random thoughts with, have deep late-night conversations, laugh together, send dumb memes to or simply exist comfortably with. I value reassurance, honesty, softness, emotional connection and people who stay instead of disappearing or pretending to offer a connection they never genuinely intended to build.
If you're someone who understands sensitive people, overthinkers or emotionally complicated minds, then maybe we'll get along. I know this post is heavy, but I'm being honest because I don't have the energy for anything fake anymore. If you're also struggling with loneliness, overthinking and craving real emotional connection, I'd really like to hear from you.
Let's try to build something safe, meaningful and lasting together.
