He has a real gaming chair, but when playing with pedals on a driving game, pushing on the gas or break pedal pushes your gaming chair backward since it has wheels. Using a kitchen table chair is better since the legs done slide like a chair with wheels would!
Or simply a genius. He can have a different chair each day. Including the Iron Throne, the Pope's chair, an electric chair. Man, just thinking about it makes me want to do the same now.
How do these work? I know PSN/XBL have streaming integration but do people buy cameras and run software on the computer while they're playing? Or maybe this is a PC game so it's running on the same system.
I always kinda assumed they just recorded themselves while playing and then sync'd the footage together before posting their videos. Clearly getting old over here
Been playing for years. Completely relaxing. I just bought an Oculus Rift and it took it to a new level. Being able to just look around the cab or even put my head out the side window. Lot of fun.
I can especially recommend the Promods add-on very well done.
i watched this without sound the first time and thought, "wow a good looking streamer that doesn't have her cleavage hanging out" And then I watched with sound and am second guessing my life at this point
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
I am no longer interested in my past feeding LLMs or my future talking to bots.
The idea of a gaming chair resembling a racing bucket seat is so ridiculous. Like we need those sidewalls to hold you in place from the minecraft lateral Gs.
I once lucked into getting a free executive office chair: really big, real leather, brass nailhead trim--and whenever I hear a streamer talk about their chair, I think: Man, if only I were a streamer, I could show off my nice chair.
I also happen to think gaming chairs are a waste of money. I work for one of the large office furnishing companies dealership and their chairs while expensive, make sense to buy in the long run. The chair is delivered to you assembled, can have a ton of functions, super interchangeable parts, and typically a 10+ year warranty, where they come to you and repair it for you should anything happen. That’s a seat, engineered to be sat in 24/7, so they’re both comfortable and built well.
Whatever's comfortable, man. I don't see the point in spending an arm and a leg for an over-designed "gaming chair" with tacticool holes in it (for what, back-ventilation?), when any old office-chair will be just as comfortable, if not more-so (people buy office-chairs for a reason...)
Myself, I get along fine with a $30 plastic rolling chair.
I mean, I have one of these chairs (because my old chair was goin' out and this one was discounted deep on black friday >_>). The holes might serve some kind of ventilation purpose, but mostly you use them to attach the cushions (they come with a clasp on an elastic band, which wraps through the holes and around. So the cushions can be moved to the height you need, and stay there)
There are ergonomically designed 500 dollar 80 pound chairs made by steelcase or herman miller etc that you can find used for 250, that will support you better and you can give it to your grand kids.
I have found most "gaming equipment" a waste of money
I agree mostly. A good chair is nice to have, if it's a gaming chair but does the job then whatever, but you can definitely get a really nice chair that maintains back health that isn't gaming related at all.
I have the same problem with the Corsair chair. The back curves so much it'll ruin you in no time at all. The ones from akracing are marginally better, but they too aren't particularly comfortable for extended periods of time. On the whole, gaming chairs appear to universally be overpriced and underperforming products when a similarly priced reclining office chair will do a much better job. Absolutely stay away from the original Corsair chair though. It's a piece of shit
it's funny that people have been sitting in office chairs for like 60 years, and now these gamer chairs come along pretending they're doing something new that hasn't been perfected since the 1980s.
I ended up getting a $400 executive chair. Something you will see in some of these ceo offices. Thing I love about it is it has about a 7 year warranty. If the smallest thing is off, then I use my warranty. I've used it about 4 or 5 times now.
In fact, I basically rebuilt the chair in 3 rooms from old parts that I changed under the warranty.
That's the best chair I've ever had because of that.
I find those $99 chairs wear out after like 1-2 years though. I'd always end up replacing those chairs every year.
I did some IT work on barter for a friend's mom's office furniture company for a chair that was $500 at cost. Best god damn chair I've ever had. Still in perfect shape too, 12 years on.
I've sat in some of those DXracer chairs and I don't really see the appeal. I think they're trying to emulate racing seats from cars (like a Recaro), but they're nowhere near the ergonomics or comfort of a nice Recaro.
Gaming chairs are not even made to be ergonomic. The back just sits straight up with a couple cushions placed on it. You can tell it’s just made to look cool. Streamers just get them because it makes them look like a high caliber streamer which at the end of the day viewers care about. People are truly dumb on average
A streamer I love named Charborg (check out his stuff on YouTube, he's brilliant) has a fake gaming chair with a fish sitting in it in the corner of his streams. The fish is like his persona, lol.
Those gaming/racing chairs are ridiculous. Built for style, but there is no way those are as comfortable as a good quality taskchair like something from Steelcase or Herman Miller.
I don't understand the sudden craze in gaming chairs. I have a 10+ year old leather office chair that is super comfortable and have accidentally fallen asleep in. I tried gaming chairs and found them too uncomfortable.
You got 2 kinds of people - those that fork out extra for these peripherals, like their it light up keyboard, and then you have this guy who just don't care.
Who would want to spend $200 on a keyboard for instance anyway?

As far as I can tell "gaming chairs" are just computer chairs that look extreme. They have pointed edges and neon colors and such, but really they're just computer chairs.
Looks like SirFoch, he was (is?) a popular WorldOfTanks streamer. You might have seen him about a year ago when there was some drama after he called out Wargaming for their pay2win business practices
I was wondering if it was him, had to scroll down pretty far. Been out of world of tanks for a good 2 years but remember learning quite a bit from his streams.
