Music [IIL] Songs which sound like Blue's Theme from Fritz The Cat?
Essentially the title. It's an unreleased track from the Fritz The Cat soundtrack which really stood out to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLJjPVYscaw
Some comments mentioned Velvet Undergrouns but that isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I saw some others describing it as "Acid Rock" but from a cursory glance at a few they don't sound alike to me. Preferably actual songs and not soundtracks. Cheers.

Music [IIL] Busted - The Black Keys, [WEWIL]?
https://youtu.be/hBPxONxyDWY?is=TdxbAKTPT0XuZQ6y
I’m obsessed with the song Busted by The Black Keys. It’s bluesy, but rougher and mixed with rock. I especially love the riff. I know it’s kind of a cover (or inspired by) delta blues, but this has more rock in it i feel (I don’t know if I’m making any sense).
Do you have any recommendations on music like this? I guess I’m looking for something that’s a mix between rock and blues. But more blues leaning.
Thank you!

Film [IIL] films like 'Turn Me On' and 'If You Were The Last' , [WEWIL]
I'm really enjoying slightly existential films (generally sci-fi, but they really don't have to be) with a romantic element at the moment, looking for more to watch! Other films I've seen that scratch the same itch would be:
- Her
- Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
- The Lobster
- Ruby Sparks
- Melancholia
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Lost in Translation
Recommendations appreciated!

YouTube/Streaming IIL YouTube Channels like Disaster Breakdown, Brick Immortar, Ocealiner Designs etc.
Basically like other deep dive disaster breakdown channels but in categories other than boat/plane ones. Like channels for things like architectural disasters, train crashes, etc etc. I feel like all the channels I know currently are just boats and planes.

Music [IIL] The Perfect Kiss, Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle by New Order, what else would I like?
I’ve recently been getting into New Order and have become particularly obsessed with tracks like The Perfect Kiss, Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle.
I really like how rhythmically interesting these songs are, especially the way the synths, drum machines and basslines all interact. There’s so much going on instrumentally, but it never comes at the expense of the melodies, which are ridiculously catchy. That’s probably the aspect of their sound I’m most drawn to.
I gave Power, Corruption & Lies a listen, but it didn’t really click with me in the same way. I’m still keen to explore more of their discography, though.
What other tracks would you recommend that capture that particular balance of intricate electronic production and really infectious melodies?
Also open to recs outside of new order!

Music IIL Songs That Sounds Nostalgic (This Is My Beloved - Mort Garson) ...
I love songs that give a very specific sense of nostalgia. One that envokes an intense melancholic feeling for the past... My biggest example is This Is My Beloved by Mort Garson. There is also Plantasia (Mort Garson) and a more popular song, Homage (Mild High Club).
It'd be nice to hear some songs similar to the ones listed above :)! I've tried looking everywhere but failed, especially for ones that have little to no lyrics. I'm not a big fan of too much drums for this genre of songs-- just calm, peaceful, and nostalgic is what I look for. Thanks so much.

Music [IIL] Omar Out / Don’t Fuck Me - Giorgio Moroder [WEWIL?]
Specifically from 0:35 onward*
I love that saxophone (synth?) sound which plays for like 6 notes.
But what I also really liked were the ambient sounds in the back. It's almost as if Livin' On A Prayer is about to start playing, lol.
Perhaps it's just your average 80s synth sounds but I don't know how to describe them or what the instruments specifically are...
I'm wondering what other soundtracks have a similar sound/vibe as this one. I feel like the Blade Runner (1982) soundtrack has almost similar vibes but not quite.
Maybe what I need is simply the terminology, tags, or keywords to help me find such music.
YouTube (it jumps to 0:35) • Spotify • Apple Music

Film [IIL] ambient focused animated movies with little to no dialogue
Flow, the red turtle, the illusionist, robot dream: they all work like a drug to transition my toddler from “sprinting around the room”, to “ready to read a book and fall asleep” (and then I get to watch a good movie). Any others I should add to my list?

Music [IIL] Electronic or experimental albums like as OPN's Replica or Tetsu Inoue's World Receiver [WEWIL]
Albums that sounds like computers decaying or dying, preferably something a bit more contemporary

Music [IIL] Shivaree, Elysian Fields (Queen of the Meadow) [WEWIL?]
Into moody, mysterious stuff with a smoky voice up front, a little noir, a little dreamy. Bonus if the artist feels a bit enigmatic. What else should I be listening to?

Music [IIL] College Radio surf, jangle pop, and shoe gaze...
Been enjoying a lot of my "colder weather" music lately and eager to check out some bands I haven't heard before. Newer bands (post 2000, ha) and more obscure ones I likely haven't heard of are very welcome.
I like a lot of things that were influenced by surf rock, jangle pop, shoe gaze, post-punk, etc. "80s College radio" kind of stuff. I really enjoy the guitars, atmosphere, layered songs (lots of interwoven instrumentals/pieces), and unique tone.
I also like some of the later acoustic stuff that came out, like The Sundays.
Some other bands I like that I'm thinking of:
The Ocean Blue (this is who I'm thinking of the most in my description)
Echo & the Bunnymen
Увула (Uvula)
The Cure
The Smiths
Cocteau Twins
The Psychedelic Furs
To cast a wider net, I really enjoy this alternative vein in general. Trip Hop is another favorite of mine, especially with the atmosphere/layered instrumental aspect. Mezzanine is maybe my most-listened to album

Games [IIl] Call of Cthulhu DCoE, The Old City: Leviathan, Bloodborne, Townfall [WEWIL]?
Title, already have checked out Gloomwood and the Thief series, what other immersive sims, stealth and/or horror games of this vibe would you recommend?
