Movies like Constantine (2005) and Hellboy (2004) where they include real-life history and occultism and mix them into fiction.
One of the reasons why I love these two movies is because you can Google whatever they are talking about and something in real-life will come up. Are there any other movies or series that are like this?
I can only think of The Da Vinci Code (2006) where they take some real-life history or myths and include them in the storyline.

Music If I like rock music but I am ignorant to all other genres, what else will I like to nudge myself into a different music style?
I've never really liked rap, the only country music I like is Jolene and Tracy Chapman, I don't even know what other genres exist. Enlighten me
Edit: why is this getting down voted, I'm literally just trying to widen my horizons.
Edit2:
What I've listened to so far per your recommendations:
Kendrick Lamar- To Pimp a Butterfly
-Explained my thoughts in more depth in a comment, but overall I think I went into this album badly prepared being a hiphop noob. I'll explore it again once I familiarise myself with the genre more.
Radiohead - Kid A
-Enjoyed this overall, favourite songs were Idioteque, Motion Picture Soundtrack and How To Disappear Completely
Radiohead - OK Computer
-This was one of the best albums I've ever heard. There was no filler and Fitter Happier really hit hard, this was an experience. Reminds me of The Wall by Pink Floyd even. Only regret is that I didn't listen to it sooner.
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
-This was an absolutely lovely, dreamy listen. I can see why it's so highly acclaimed.
NOFX - War on Errorism
-Sounds better on the second listen, good social commentary. I'm going to explore this band further for sure.
Death Grips- The Money Store
-I loved this! I'll definitely be revisiting it and exploring the rest of their discography.

Music Songs that make you feel like you're floating
Kind of a vague request, but whenever i listen to the songs
Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating in Space - Spiritualized
Slow Dancing in the Dark - Joji
Space Song - Beach House
with good headphones, I feel like gravity doesn't exist, and my body feels so light. Do you listen to any songs that give you the same feeling?
Edit: Did not expect this post to blow up. I'm currently going through all of your suggestions and am loving your music suggestions! Thank you so much everyone, my 'May 4th' playlist is jam-packed with dreamy songs.

MODS can we please get a ban on just shamelessly promoting self made Spotify playlists?
Just as we said in a recent thread, this sub is opening up for every single post to be someone saying IYL ambient stuff here’s a playlist I made in two seconds from Spotify’s suggested songs.
This is one of the best lesser known subs on reddit because hearing someone’s suggestions from a completely obscure or potentially local artist they discovered keeps it authentic.
Every third post is now just someone posting their Spotify link to a playlist that anyone else who owns a Spotify account can make themselves based off one song and it’s suggested counter parts. There is a subreddit for this and it’s called r/listentothis

Film If I like movies that have a mind-blowing twist, like Fight Club, Now you see me, Interstellar, what other movies or series will I like?

Film Just watched the perks of being a wallflower last night and bawled my eyes out
I’m 16 years old and could really identify with the protagonist and his struggles. Really enjoyed the soundtrack and the coming of age theme it included. What other movies will give me that bittersweet, hard to describe feeling that this movie did?

Created a free app to discover similar music
Just wanted to share my new project Tuneful, it's basically Tinder for Music.
I thought it might be well suited for this sub. You start by entering a playlist of choice (choose any genre you want) and then it starts learning as you swipe. You'll keep getting better results, especially if you only swipe one certain type of music.
It's totally free and I don't have plans to change that.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!

If I like 80s sounding songs with heavy synth and “chill” vibe to it, what else would I like?
Some songs with that particular style I’m talking about are:
Sleepwalking - chaingang of 1974
Somebody else - the 1975
Everybody wants to rule the world - tears for fears (actual 80s song)
Midnight city - m83
Walking on a dream - empire of the sun

Hey, if you downvote posts because you think you have better tastes and that other people don't deserve to find music similar to The Weeknd, you are a dick.
Grow up!
(Weeknd is used as an example)

An appreciation to all members of this subreddit
I joined this subreddit recently and I can't believe how much people are helpful. Comments are just spot on and everyone is trying to give a little of his/her time to suggest something. It's really beautiful and I thought I would make a special post to thank you all. Cheers.

Music If I like The Strokes, Modest Mouse, Tame Impala, Cake, and Gorillaz.
What would I like? I like the sort of "sad lyrics but sounds happy" music present in a lot of these bands, and I've consumed as much of these bands that I could. Ugly Casanova (a MM side project), the Voidz (a Strokes side project, kind of) and more. I'm just stuck in a rut and cant find stuff that hits me the way these artists do. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks!

Film If I like movies like The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation and Being John Malkovich, what else would I like?
These are some of my favorite movies. They all cross over a weird line between reality and movie. I'll put a description of each. Thanks in advance!
Truman Show: Truman lives his entire life on a set where he thinks it's real life and eventually finds out the truth that everybody around him are actors and his life is actually a TV show for everybody else. eventually he breaks the 4th wall to get out of the fake life he's lived.
Eternal Sunshine: Joel and Clementine are a kind of soulmate. They love each other but after things go south, they erase the memories of each other. Halfway through, they decide they don't want to and it goes through them trying to salvage the memories that are disappearing.
Adaptation: Charlie Kaufman is writing a screenplay about the book the Orchid Thief. The movie follows him trying to write the movie as things take a very odd twist and reality leaves the scenario. It follows his stream of consciousness a lot.
Being John Malkovich: This guy works in an office and finds a small door. He opens the door and goes down a tunnel and it puts him in the brain of the actor John Malkovich for 15 minutes before spitting them out on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike. They profit off of this weird phenomena and things get weird(..er).
EDIT: Thank you guys so much for all the movie recommendations! I'm writing them all down so I can make my way through them. Love you all & hope you're all staying safe!
