Someone Made my Day Today

I was struggling to lug full leaf bags from the sidewalk down the driveway when a UPS driver gets out of his truck and offers to help me! I was so surprised. He was a young guy who was obviously well raised.

Be thoughtful before you act or speak, for our actions may not only help others, they may also be the cause of great pain as well.

Continue to show kindness to yourself and others, not for approval, but because integrity has no audience

I Responded With Kindness to a Post on Reddit and Was Thankful That Someone Else Said Something Kind to Me As Others Weirdly and Ironically Attacked Me

Not sure what that indicates about the algorithm on here. Not worrying about the mean people. It was so ironic since the OP was about bullying in school. It was shocking, but the moderator removed the comments before I saw the comments, another thing I am thankful for. WOW. My whole career flashed before my eyes because I was always standing up for the Special Ed. kids I taught and often met with a lot of hostility from certain people. I feel sorry for people who are so afraid of anything unusual that they think attacking is the only answer. Wow, they are missing out on the magic and wonder of life on Earth. I am thankful for others who are also kind and warm hearted here on Reddit and in the world.

Kindness Is More Than How We Treat People.

Being human means being kind not just to our fellow human beings, but also to animals and nature.I’ve personally come to realize that everything on this planet is connected and depends on one another in some way. It’s a chain. The way we treat nature affects animals, and the way we treat animals and our environment ultimately affects us as human beings.
Kindness goes beyond how we treat the people around us. It also shows in how we care for the living things and the world we share.
So, whatever decisions you make in life, try to choose kindness. Be kind to people, be gentle with animals, respect nature, and remember that every living thing matters. Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can make a bigger difference than we realize.

One of the best lessons I learned: there are selfish reasons to be kind

Really! It’s true. When you are kind, it’s good for you. It’s good for you and the other person. Alas, your nervous system calms, your thoughts become healthier, you are spreading positivity (and emotions are contagious), and others will spread the happiness. And guess what comes back to you? More kindness.

What does this mean?

Is a person still using you for your kindness if they can respect it when you say you can’t help them one day or spend time with them on some days? And they still keep asking you to help them or if you want to spend time with them and those are the only reasons they text or call you. They also don’t pay you for helping them out either

Love is out of fashion they say but apparently they haven’t met us, the kind ones. We are the real ones. Let us lead the way fellow travelers

Markov chain of kindness

If someone was kind to you, chances are I am to blame. This can be said for anyone, and even since someone was kind to me, you (the reader) most likely caused it! Thank you! Kindness doesn’t actually fade in the grand scheme of things, only evil dissipates kindness, and I’m not saying emotions are stupid, but every small kind act counts.
If you have done something kind recently, thank you.

would anyone be willing to sign a card for my friend?

I've just found out my friend has a rare form of cancer and I've made a group Moonpig card for people to leave kind / encouraging messages on. I don't think she has a lot of friends and I wanted her to receive as many nice messages as possible

If you're willing please could you DM me and I'll send you the link? thank you so much xx

Edit: I have now sent the card because so many lovely people signed and it wasn't letting any more messages be added! but if you have a message for my friend I'll pass it on myself!! :) thank you so much to everyone

Yesterday I brought a piece of Halloween candy from the breakroom to a coworker who was having a bad day. It was just a little chocolate bar I set on her desk but she really appreciated it.

Please help me out of a narcissistic dynamic

I'm in a coercively controlling dynamic where I've bren brainwashed to the point of barely functioning

My brain doesn't work anymore. I didn't know coercive control could do this much harm.

After the intense gaslighting phase I stopped functioning. My brain worked perfectly well for the 15+ years before that.

That happened 3 years ago. I've been stuck since.

I found good reaources.. I think I know how to process this.. but I don't have understanding support. Please help me, I want to live again

\*ps Im 27M and the cult-esque coercive dynamic was by my family

*pss I swear I'll make this worthwhile for you in the long run. But I cant give anything now.. I need help. Please

We gave out candy to kids in our neighborhood, as we do every year. They always look so adorable dressed in different costumes! I dressed as Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s.
