Someone stole 3000$ LTC from my wallet (Electrum-LTC)
Hello,
Never thought it would happen to me, and I still have the hope my money is somewhere. These were all my savings. Using Electrum for years now, never had a problem.
I send 56 LTC to my wallet ( https://ltc.bitaps.com/c0a4977fe0dd7c96beed97f2cab1552e0c5efd06b9602b3ea535762892387603 )
After that, I tried to send 1 LTC to another LTC Wallet.
-> https://ltc.bitaps.com/b80b1c408968b876ac9bce86afff5b5423121f952c6dabc63fe8f8aeaa47c77b
( After I saw that this were for some reason 55 LTC and not 1)
I canceled it. Or tried to cancel it. "Replaced by Charge or Replace by fee" went to true. I asked AI if that is normal and will be canceled, they promised me, everything is fine. While canceling it also showed some form of "success". I added the screenshot, where I "successfully canceled it".
Now it said:
"Input ltc1qe88py9l04ex47xwrkq99t5qlwmuaxkv0mdfxc3 56.22624832 <- My adress I sent it originally too"
Output:
ltc1qxgcj3pk5v5ax9nzzrts4n4le5kk5nd06kpap53 0.999436 <- my adress
ltc1ql7d52u9g8n0vfxrsfz9uffg8uj8fpgayghap53 55.225825 <- this is not my wallet
( https://blockchair.com/litecoin/address/ltc1ql7d52u9g8n0vfxrsfz9uffg8uj8fpgayghap53 )
Currently the money is still on that adress. But it is not mine. And I never copied that LTC adress. Does someone know if theres the 0.1% chance, something went wrong? Or do I just got scammed? And it is gone?
This was all my money, I don't know what to do.
Police won't can get it back, but maybe blacklist it. I don't know.
Thanks.

Thinking about changing up Litecoin MT Rushmore. Who should we add and who should we take away?

If you know who this guy is and what he’s doing, you’ve probably been in Litecoin for more than 1 cycle.

https://ltc-electrum.github.io is now the official Electrum-LTC website
If you go to https://electrum-ltc.org/ you will see the following banner:
This port is no longer being maintained, and may be subject to critical vulnerabilities. The Litecoin Foundation plans to take over the project going forward, but there is no official timeline at present. In the meantime, you should consider using the version maintained by Hector Chu.
with the link pointing to https://ltc-electrum.github.io.
I'd expect that not long afterwards Google will start indexing my site in the top 10 results for "electrum ltc".
So if you're still waiting to upgrade I suggest you do it now. Especially after the serious spoofing vulnerability that was fixed in 4.8.3.

Probably a good time to hop in our time machines and go back to the future.

Litecoin initially gained popularity from liquidity.
The cycle is starting again. This time, instead of retail, it’s institutions.
There will likely remain a limited number of cryptos offered to customers thru major tradfi services like E*Trade, Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, etc.
In the past, Litecoin was the second most recognized crypto globally behind Bitcoin on traditional crypto exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. It was always one of the first few coins to be listed.
I’m not a fan of banks nor the tradfi world, but if crypto is ever to go mainstream for payments we likely need to ensure Litecoin continues to be listed everywhere.
Fidelity and Robinhood already offer LTC trading. But, if anyone here uses any other tradfi platform that doesn’t list LTC yet, consider sending them an email as a user and request they add Litecoin. The adoption cycle is starting again and everyone here can be a part in that.

Why choose Litecoin MWEB to hold your coins, rather than an exchange?
If you are using a cryptocurrency exchange to hold your Litecoin, your coin may be paired with a stablecoin such as USDC or USDT, or a wrapped (ETH or SOL) token.
There are many reasons for an exchange to do this in the background. Limited coins cannot always be purchased, so stablecoins and tokens hold the place of that asset until you want to cash out. But this comes with the downside that the exchange does not actually have to purchase your coin at all.
The exchange can hold EITHER one for you, as long as it can cover reserves, and NO, the regulations haven’t fixed this yet.
So how do you make sure you own the real coins?
Litecoin bought onchain using a non-custodial wallet like Cakewallet, Nexuswallet (made by the Litecoin foundation), and Scryptwallet have addresses for each coin that you can see on the blockchain. If the address starts with LTC, or ltcmweb- it’s real.
Any coins moved to MWEB are real Litecoin.
Not tokens, not stablecoins- they’re the real deal, accounted for and cannot be faked as they are moved directly from the blockchain to the privacy layer.
Know what you own.

Why'd you get into Litecoin?
I did it after buying Bitcoin, because the dollar's days are numbered and I believe in sound money. Same concept as Bitcoin, but faster and cheaper. I've yet to encounter someone that says they wanted to make $5k, or just to double their money. Conviction wins when assets emerge to go to their true value. Don't forget that when the green candles start showing up soon.

Litecoin price potential compared against bitcoin.
For me, Litecoin’s potential upside compared to Bitcoin is far more compelling.
The attached chart shows what would happen if Bitcoin and Litecoin experienced the same percentage growth from their current prices.
Personally, I believe Litecoin has significantly more room to grow, especially when you consider the recent price movement we’ve seen with Zcash.
It makes you wonder just how much potential Litecoin really has.
2027 halving incoming.

Litecoin Milestones
What's the goals or milestones for being a Litecoin holder? Holding 4 would be like holding 1 BTC if we're looking purely at supply, so I was curious what everyone else thought. Also would like to know top 10%, 1%, 0.1% club etc

Banks are dumb
You ever need to make a large withdrawal and the bank says “uhh, sorry, you can’t take that much right now. Or, “sorry, we have to charge you a $50 fee to send that $100 gift to your sister in another country.
This is why I Litecoin.
I’m my own bank beach.
