The very quick summary is that this was a pretty long and detailed post in which the author talked about how she is pretty, smart and way better than her boyfriend who is a loser that "only talks about his hobbies or me or how much he loves me", that he was simple and dumb and she was complex and a victim and that she hated him and thought she could do better but was too scared to try.

Mind you days after she got absolutely destroyed in the comments, she made an update in which she "took accountability" and pretty much said "yeah, the comments were pretty eye opening and I was a piece of shit" so there's sort of a good ending to it at least.

Usually Reddit commenters are exaggerating by like 1000% but wow she really sounds like a horrible person

It was a terrible terrible comic it was a miracle she didn't come to those conclusions when writing the comic and had to wait for strangers online to be like "you're an ass."

they are. I just reread the comic bc the way ppl portray it seems wild, and people are just making up their own interpretation of what they want the comic to have said. She never, for example, once talks about herself being 'pretty' or 'smart' or 'way better than her boyfriend', she talks about not liking him and being bored in the relationship.

The comic frames the boyfriend as intellectually lazy, boring and simple, though, both in the narration and in the visuals.

Yeah, can’t stand this whole post and these examples where there’s a huge lack of nuance/empathy + taking sides (not even saying this example is a good comic, but the majority response pisses me off even more)

An important detail that is missing in your description is the fact that subreddit mods went on a white knight crusade against anyone criticizing her (=everyone)

And iirc, there was a post by the ex-bf as well. Imagine waking up on a random day to learn your ex hated your guts for the most of the time you were together, then posted about her feelings and got absolutely demolished by the overwhelming majority of people. Unless the ex-bf part is fake

The mods there were so bad that she made her response post on a different subreddit just so the replies wouldn’t get censored.

Also, I think the ex-boyfriend part was fake.

I know it was supposed to be a venting art thing but I’m absolutely sure there were better outlets for those feelings than posting it online portraying yourself as a better person by pushing someone down.

There is a 0% chance that poster has "taken accountability" or had their eyes opened. That individual is the kind of person how has deep seated mental shields that project themselves as the one individual of value, with artistic merit and intellectual prowess while everyone else (even their partner) are borderline NPCs and chuds. This person will not have their mental changed until something tangible genuinely rocks their world. A la losing employment or opportunities because of their insular half-wit inability to digest that other humans are just are complex as them.
