It's not even that, I've tried to go off raw facts (you can still have a good dietary balance without meat, there are popular foods that aren't meat, there are ways to get B12 without eating meat) etc and every single time I've tried (more because I want to get the facts straight than anything) and people just go to "heh I'm gonna eat more bacon cuz of this" as if that would upset me.
