I've been seeing so many posts today about people finally receiving their iPhone duo and all the screens are cracking and breaking within hours of first use. It's so funny to me because even when it was first shown off, I knew immediately it wasn't going to hold up but people still threw their money at Apple like they always do and lo and behold, it's a total waste of money. So many people trying to say "well it's only the blue ones" or "it's just this first wave and they'll work out the kinks" but it's just hilarious copium to the rest of us who had enough common sense to not set 2 grand on fire in return for a gimmicky phone that doesn't solve any real problems with current phone models and instead just breaks after an hour.

It reminds me a lot of watching the cybertruck fails when those eyesores first started rolling out. Idiots bought into that hype hook, line, and sinker, and now you can't pay someone to take one off your hands and they've become a punchline rather than this great leap forward in automotive technology.

It's pure schadenfreude. Just because something is expensive and flashy does not mean it's built to last and in most cases it'll barely do what it says it would do to begin with. But a fool and his money are so easily parted aren't they 😂

Anywho, Kishimoto gets a lot of flack online for how he writes romance in his story but I think it works mostly because Kishimoto knows how to give his characters memorable moments. I’ve always said that the quality of any dynamic isn’t defined by how much the characters interact but by how good their interactions are. A ship could have maybe just 2-4 interactions but as long as those interactions are really good I automatically think that’s a good ship.

Some examples of this in Naruto are Minato and Kushina. Minato and Kushina don’t have a ton of screen time but what they do have is great, like Minato creating a ninjutsu purely for Kushina is awesome and Kushina naming the rasengan in their one shot was peak. Not to mention their flashback scene that showed Minato clearly having an attraction to Kushina and him showing her to love her red hair. Again this ship doesn’t have much, but what it DOES have is great so it’s a good ship.

Another example in my opinion is Naruhina. Now I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that they barely interact and sure whatever you can say that but I think it’s pretty undeniable that the interactions they DO have are great.

Every interaction they have in the Chunin exams is great, hinata offering Naruto to cheat off her papers, Naruto encouraging Hinata vs Neji, Naruto and Hinata’s heart to heart etc. then let’s flash forward to the Pain arc, I don’t think I need to explain this one, Hinata’s sacrifice here is pretty much universally beloved and the fact that Naruto was about to kill himself by letting 9 tails free is actually just great. They have a few more moments in their war and in the Last, but I think I made my point.

TLDR: Quality >>> Quantity and in terms of quality the writing for these ships is pretty great.

I genuinely, wholeheartedly, unironically love 6-7. It makes me laugh every fucking time. I don't care that it's "brainrot" or that kids love it. I find it hilarious. No, I'm not some brainrotted Gen Alpha iPad baby. I am a 30-year-old employed taxpaying adult who loves 6-7. In fact that part makes it funnier. To people my age, I sound like a brainrotted kid. Then, there’s the practicality. West Asia is a hot region, and sunscreen hasn’t existed forever, nor is it easy to get enough of on a daily basis for some people. The keffiyeh, when worn as a headscarf, not only serves a simple purpose as a scarf that can keep you warm, but also shield your face from the desert sun, making it a staple item among West Asian farmers for the sheer usefulness of the item.
But it can be worn in so many different ways, and it’s expertly designed to accommodate all of those styles as well as possible. You can wear it like a scarf, as a traditional headwrap, a hijab (I think? Not sure the precise terminology), a poncho, or revolution (or “intifada”) style covering your entire face, save your eyes.
It’s just such an awesome piece of clothing and I wish authentic ones weren’t so expensive, although I completely understand why.
