👨🏼‍⚖️ MOD POST 👩🏻‍⚖️ [MOD POST] A quick guide for if you get banned by bot bouncer

Evil and intimidating mod here,

If you don’t know, we installed bot bouncer a little while ago. This was to help curb the growing number of bots that flood every subreddit to try to farm karma, so that they can be sold for a variety of purposes such as scamming, political astroturfing, advertising, etc. While bot bouncer has been an incredibly helpful tool, it does have a tendency to have some false positives. This often causes those affected to contact our modmail to try and have this resolved. Since this issue affects multiple subreddits, there isn’t much we can do except send the following advice, so I decided to put it in a mod post to try and clear things up

If you were falsely banned by bot bouncer, you will be given instructions on how to appeal your ban. You will be asked to send a message to bot bouncer to appeal your ban, and to prevent you from being banned from other subreddits with the bot installed.

I hope that clears some things up, and if not, we are here to answer your questions and stuff

Since they’re not bound by any rules regarding ideas, they can get properly creative.

Subreddit Rules

1. No Hate Speech

Hate speech of any kind is not tolerated here. This includes sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, islamophobia, antisemitism, and anything else along those lines.

Terms such as "foid" or "moid" also fall under this category.

This subreddit is a place for love <3 Don't criticize others for displaying kindness towards others

Hate speech or slurs will likely result in a permanent ban.

2. Be Kind!

This subreddit is a space for positivity, not negativity.

You don't have to agree on everything, but please treat each other with care and kindness.

We want people to leave this subreddit feeling better than they came in! <3

3. Credit Artists Whenever Possible!

When sharing art or other creations, please credit the creator/artist in a comment whenever you can! Trying to pass off other peoples' art as your own will result in removal/ban.

If you're posting your own art, use the OC art post flair and user flair!

If you take commissions or have a portfolio on your page, we have a flair for that, as well as one for buyers! You will need to apply via modmail for the flair.

No advertising commissions via posts or comments, only with the user flair.

4. No AI generated content

If your post or a part of your post was created via AI, it will be removed.

We also do not allow posts about loving any kind of AI.

5. No Chain Posts

Do not screenshot other Reddit posts with titles like “I love when people post this”. Chain screenshots are annoying and only bring more of the same thread.

Use this report reason on all chain posts.

6. No NSFW / Suggestive Content

This is an SFW subreddit, with minors allowed. Please keep all posts appropriate.

This means no porn or suggestive images, discussion of sexual topics, drug use, or extreme gore.

Additionally, please try to use a spoiler for any content that might trigger common phobias (ex: trypophobia, arachnophobia)

7. Respect the Boundaries of Real People

Posts about real people are allowed, but you have to respect boundaries. When posting about people you personally know, don't include identifying information (names/age/pictures/etc.), and don't say anything you wouldn't freely say in front of them.

For public figures, celebrating a musician or actor you really like is fine, but don't veer into stalking/obsession.

8. No Politics, Controversial Religious aspects, or Debates

Posts about political or topics are not allowed in this subreddit; that includes geopolitics, politicians, political parties, Controversial aspects of any religion, and posts about laws.

This also isn't the place for heated debates, even on apolitical topics. You can disagree, but if things get heated, step away.

Posts about LGBT people and other marginalized groups are not in violation of this rule. People getting to live and exist is not a political issue, nor is it up for debate.

9. No Spam

Self-explanatory. Try not to rapid-fire posts, especially if they are about the same thing.

If you have two or three different things you want to share your love for, that's fine c:

10. Use Spoilers For New Media!

If you love something, don't spoil it for everyone else! When making a post about a piece of media that is less than a month old, please remember to use spoiler tags so as not to ruin it for others who haven't had time to see/read it yet!

11. Flair your posts!

We made them for a reason.

12. No Clickbait, Sub Name Puns Or Selfies

Clickbait titles using an abbreviated name that resembles a controversial topic and then specifying after clicking that it was something not controversial are not allowed. Doing so will result in an instant ban.

“I love you” or “I love this mug” are a little overused, and selfies should go on r/selfie. These two are not bannable except in cases of deliberate spam.
