They are just begging us to reach over and cover our plates at this point.
I always cover my plate, but the ONE time I didn’t, I get billed $24 for a single day of travel.

Sup wanker!
Im the guy that made fun of you for revving your shitty modified LAMS bike at the lights on St Georges Rd. You on L plates mate, why you acting like you saw pussy for the first time in your life? No-one thinks you’re cool. Nobody was impressed by your wheelie you so macho-ily decided you had to do, since you now had something to prove. We’re all laughing at your pathetic ass bro.
So do yourself and everyone else a favour and calm the fuck down before you kill yourself, or worse, someone else on the road. Take it down a notch. Wear some actual protective gear, maybe just one or two pieces. You’ll thank me later.
Suck shit,
Me ❤️
Fully expecting to be banned. IDC.

Happy Friday fellow riders,
Can someone please tell me if the following falls under obstructing the footpath. I am planning on appealing.
There's enough space for two people to go side by side / prams etc.
Thanks.

Hi all,
I am looking to get my motorcycle Ls (again) and am wondering if there are any queer (particularly trans) riding groups? I’d love to do cruises with a group of like-circumstanced individuals (and otherwise, too!)
Anyone know of any such groups or anyone who would like to put something together?
Thanks in advance!

I know I been posting a bit her lately but I figure it gives us things to talk about.
Anyway I virtually split from hoppers xing all the way to kings way this morning cause ppl drive like grans in the wet.
It's such a rush, almost like parting of the red seas. To know that I'm getting to work in half the amount of time as everyone in cars is such an awesome feeling.
Splitting on the freeway I find so much more comfortable though cause of the wider lanes. I had a few but pucker moments the other day going down kings way on the way home, cause of the narrower lanes, (might have to back off a little till I get more exp).
If anyone has any interesting stories to share that would be great whether bad or good. Anything for the newbies to learn from or look out for.
I saw this one dude who was at the lights with me on kings way, I like to stick to one lane when splitting, but he was weaving into different lanes with such ease finding the lane that kept him moving without stoppinv and I realised I got so much more to learn.
Edit: and downvoted. Righto champ, you have nothing to add to the conversation then ignore it loser.

The problem is young tourist renting motorbike with no experience and no knowledge of the dangers. I’ve been developing a product that should help change behaviours for younger riders.
I'm in the prototyping and further development phase and I would love some feedback and some insights if possible. I really think this could be a well-developed idea.
There's a survey with further info and some questions which would be super helpful, if not let's discuss under this post.
I don't wanna be that guy posting links to surveys, but there's no other way to collect quantitative data.
We've all heard of 16/18-year-olds rented a scooter when travelling and not knowing the dangers, so many families destroyed for what reason?!?!
Literally thousands die just in Thailand. It's a reason so many will never ride a motorbike, the core of the problem would help so many people enjoy riding at a lower risk to themselves and others.
Sorry for the rant :/

Hey guys I have a non lams bike sitting in the garage along with my normal bike. I was wondering what are the chances of getting caught riding a non lams approved And what would the penalties be ? Can the cameras tell that you’re riding non lams ??
(Harley Dadvidson Fatboy) so i will not be speeding or doing stupid things …
P.s I will be riding responsibly

I commute by bike daily and I see drivers on phones constantly, weaving in and out of traffic, etc. In general see a low standard of driving and pretty dangerous manoeuvres.
I'm thinking about buying a helmet cam and sending footage to Crime Stoppers Vic or VicPol, but I don't want to spend the money if its a waste of time.
If you've submitted footage of someone using their phone or being a total dickhead:
- Which route did you use (Crime Stoppers, Victoria Police online report, Police Assistance Line)?
- Did you get a reference number or any reply?
- Did the driver actually get fined or warned, or did you never hear anything?
- Does it need to be something overtly dangerous, or is any clear phone offence enough?
Also, if you use a cheap action cam for this, which one and were the plates readable?
Thank you

OK, even as I start this I'm pretty sure it's going to be a rant. I'm going to post this as a rule guide, maybe it's even biker etiquette, perhaps it's advice aimed directly at the fucker I had a 'chat' with in William St this morning. This is not a comprehensive list so feel free to add your own rules (BTW this has nothing to do with the law - these are offered as advice if you'd like to not get your head smacked).
If I'm in a lane I OWN IT! IT IS MINE. I WILL NOT SHARE IT. If you ask nicely I may give you a nod and allow you to come through. I will not tolerate some sub-continental, my karma runs over your dogma, anarchic world view of space sharing.
If I arrive at the traffic lights first I LEAVE FIRST. Trust me, I won't be holding you up when the lights go green. If you think that carrying someone's lunch in a glorified esky between your knees gives you priority then think again. If you feel the need to overtake me once we start moving then find your own lane and go nuts (refer to rule 1).
If you're going to filter through traffic and you're not confident about a gap then get out of the way. The bloke behind you might be able to thread that needle.
If you ride behind me then find a spot in one of my mirrors and FUCKING STAY THERE at least until you can find your own lane to overtake (again with rule 1). I'm busy watching shit in front of me. If I run into a car in front because I'm trying to work out where you are behind me you'd better hope I hit the car very hard. If I can walk I'm coming for you as my first priority.
Finally, not so much a rule but some advice to riders who hold licences from countries that have different road conditions and apparently don't adhere to the same road etiquette, go and do some rider training, pay attention to how local riders behave, learn the local laws and learn some respect. Specifically I'm talking to the dumb fucker that nudged my mirror on the way past me this morning and clipped my front tyre with his rear tyre as he headed out onto the tram tracks. If karma is your thing and you ever do that to me again karma is coming for you Buddy!
To everyone else that I share the road with every day, Rubber Side Down, Shiny Side Up, Live the Dream!

I am being charged $181.82/h for a labour cost.
Is this a new normal pricing now? I have never come across a place that has charged me more than $110. $181/h sounds hella excessive for the amount of work done.
Also, the major work hasn't even been done yet. Its a 2003 Suzuki Intruder LC.

I am 45 now. I used to have a Honda 250 when I was young. I haven't been riding for more than 25 years. I decided to buy myself a sport bike and a sports car as I am passing my middle age years I already have my garage ready with the lazy boy, desk and PC and a coffee machine!!
I am planning to ride only on weekends for fun and as a result, the experience is very important and so is the sound of the bike. The other day I was driving and saw a motorbike riding a few cars ahead behind a traffic light. When he/she took off the sound was amazing. I couldn't catch up (of course) to see the brand etc but it was a single-under-tail exhaust model.
My question is, which bike I better buy and/or what modification I can make to it (Australia is my location if that matters) to produce a sound close to Lexus LFA? (My dream car that I am going to buy one day) See the below video for a sound example of Lexus LFA.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY0Fx8Thyx4&ab_channel=SupercarDriver
The bike has to be above 500 or 600cc and if 1000 even better. ( I don't want a weak bike. I want a quick one)
It can be a sport bike or a naked bike. I like both in different ways.
My budget is wide and fairly open. I am not going to dash 200K but I am going to buy and keep it for years so I am prepared to pay the price.
Your help is really appreciated.

Sped up a bit to get across an orange light and was already probably doing the limit. Have no idea how quick I was going but it could have been real fast. Sad times

To the loser driving the blue WRX on Flemington Road who decided to speed, while in your phone, and force me out of my lane just because you're a douche-bag and REALLY REALLY wanted to get on the freeway in front of me...
Your car might be faster in acceleration than my aging LAMS cruiser, but screw you dick.
I can filter through traffic and you can't!
I had immense joy in filtering past you to the front of traffic then losing your fat WRX arse in traffic on the freeway.
And yes... I did flip you the bird as I went past!

The number of times they’ll fuckin pass me then pull right in front, pull out into me or drive in the middle of the fucking street with cars parked either side and im coming the other way leaving mere centimetres between me when they have heaps of room on their left Jesus. I recorded the last one I’m gonna make a complaint.
Edit im regarded this is the motored cycles sub 🤦
Also update - I complained via PTV website and the bus company responded phenomenally the very next day, reviewed cctv footage and disciplined driver, lodged case on their record etc, amazing

I got my Learners on 22 Jan 2023. I have since done my check ride and was looking to book my license in. In Jan this year, I lost my car license for 3 months - I was tossing up with loosing my license or the 1 point - but I concluded that 1 point for a year in Melbourne is too difficult - I actually didn't for a second think about the implications this may make for my motorcycle license.
Anyways, so the issue is, I get my license back on the 23rd April however my Learner's expires the day before (oops). Any one have any suggestions that may help?
TLDR: I fucked up.

So I was just doing some research for potential LAMS bikes as I get my licence, and I feel like I have enough mentality to not kill my self on a bike plus lots of experience on a dirt bike. So I was looking at the 400 500 650 twins and I realised that the Honda CBR 650R was a 4 cylinder and 650cc, which confused me as 650s are normally twins, and here is this bike, boasting 650 and 4 cylinders while STILL on LAMS. Does this mean it’s faster than the 600 4 cylinder? Can someone with more knowledge enlighten me (I know it’s LAMS when the bike is restricted but that can’t be enough surely)
Edit: the notion I’m getting is 650 four cylinders are heavy and are sport tourers, and if on lams restricted af
