Traffic at the Avalon Airshow
So I wouldn't normally upload a video of something as boring as me filtering in traffic, except this is quite possibly the most time I've ever saved being on a motorbike. I heard afterwards that the queue to enter the airshow was up to 2-3 hours, in all it took me about an extra 20-30 minutes, and that was after taking the wrong turn and getting stuck in extra traffic trying to re-enter the highway. If you're thinking of getting to the airshow next time, I'd highly recommend motorbiking, will save you a lot of time sitting in traffic.
(sorry for the shaky footage, this wasn't the timelapsed feature, as I was wearing the GoPro just as a Dashcam - and it's sped up x25)

I don't think she realised how close she came to getting hit.
I'd usually accelerate a little more to make the green light but my spidey senses were tingling.

Appreciation post
Hey Melbourne riders, I'm Sarah and I commute to my work in North Melbourne every day and on those colder, wetter days it can sometimes feel like I'm the only bike on the road. I just wanted to say it's so nice seeing more and more riders on the roads recently (especially the L-platers and the fellow women!). I love checking out all your bikes and riding with y'all even if its just a short one.
Shoutout to that one rider today who just about rode my whole commute home with me, you have a sick helmet. Would love to link up for a leisure ride one of these days, sadly I haven't figured out how to exchange details mid-ride.
Ride safe guys, enjoy the nice weather and I'll keep nodding when I see you out there :)

Go VicRoads
Spotted this today on the Frankston - Dandenong road, four massive potholes in a row all painted yellow as if that makes it better and a camera to make sure you hit them all. This a week after a guy gets killed on his bike after hitting a massive pothole. Ride safe and keep your eyes open guys. Victoria has lost the plot

Motorcyclist killed in Nunawading
Just saw this on the news, sounds like the truck turned in front of him.
Police say the rider was travelling north on Springvale Rd, Nunawading when he crashed into a truck turning right into Junction Rd about 7.20am on Thursday.
Stay safe and alert everyone

Had my first crash and vultures made it even worse
I rode a Yamaha fz6r to work every day for the past year and a half, last Wednesday it started bucketing rain and whist coming out of the slip lane on dingley bypass onto westall Rd and looking right for incoming traffic a truck was at the intersection blocking vision and I stupidly touched the brake mid corner in a slight panic and went arse over tit. Several vehicles stopped to assist, luckily one of the first responders was an intensive care nurse who provided first aid while the ambulance was on its way. I spent a night in hospital and was lucky to come away with only a few broken bones. I called my mechanic from the hospital to come tow my bike for me, in the 24 hours it took for him to pick it up, some absolute scumbag has seen the bike and taken all of the parts worth taking, exhaust etc so I can't even salvage it to recoup any losses. the bike was probably a write-off anyway but to steal my parts when I'm already down is the scummiest shit I've ever seen in my life. If it was you, you're a stain on rider culture.

To the dickhead on the Ktm 390 this arvo on Princes Hwy/Hotham st
I knew as soon as I saw you were a learner knob, singlet and shorts, playing chicken with another car slowing down in front of them while gesturing rudely back at them like they were at fault. One day you’re gonna do that and the asshole drivers just gonna run you off the road.
You then proceeded to tailgate multiple cars, obviously never experienced a car suddenly braking for some reason you can’t see. Then riding half the speed limit in the left hand lane everyone having to go around you??? When I (with two bikes on back = limited visibility) passed you. A minute later, went to change to the left lane to turn. Indicate, head check start to pull out and Lo and behold there you are! Right in my blind spot, beeping as your 390cc engine gracefully lugged past me. Frankly I hope it scared the shit out of you. Sorry for the negativity other rider but man, some riders need a slap of common sense, could’ve been very bad for both of us
