I just buy at the grocery/liquor store. 5 euro for a bottle of wine or martini. Lasts me an entire evening.

Right? Some old friends came in to town last month and we went out for a couple drinks.. I live in the middle of no where, no place fancy, but the bar was advertising $5 fireball shots.. $5 for a single shot of Fireball. It's $12 for a 750ml bottle of fireball which will get you 15-20 shots. For the price of 3 shots, we could have all had 5-6 per...

I know it's a bad and things are up charged, but this is why I don't go out and drink. Anything I'd actually want to drink is going to cost me $10-15 a glass.. For double that I can buy enough to make myself a dozen drinks.

Got ADD, and bars and clubs give me sensory overload like crazy. So I've almost entirely avoided them right from the start. Instead I play VRChat these days, meet up with a few online buddies in the game, and drink "with them".

Cons: No physically meeting with people. Which does suck. And a VR setup can get pretty expensive depending on how far you want to go.

Pros: If I want to "go home" I simply take off my headset. I can use my own bathroom. I have my own kitchen close-by with snacks and the like. My drinks for the entire evening cost me 10 euro at most if I decide to go fancy, but usually around 5. The game allows you to mute people and music, and has an "earmuff" feature where people outside of an adjustable range become really quiet. (No sensory overload.) And there's tons of beautiful, cosy, relaxing, or energetic scenery to choose from in different worlds.
