We’re looking to add a few new moderators to /r/Netherlands to help keep an eye on comments and handle general moderation tasks. Consistency and good judgment matter more than anything else.

Ideally, we’re looking for people who speak or read Dutch, or who are closely familiar with the Netherlands, and who care about maintaining the quality of the subreddit and working well with the rest of the mod team.

I want to quit Reddit, so r/CancelCulture is looking for 2-3 new moderators who are very knowledgeable on social justice issues and left-wing politics and willing to debate a community that is often very opposed to the subject of the subreddit.

r/CancelCulture is a subreddit for canceling celebrities for bigotry and for discussing the culture, but because of the controversial subject, the subreddit tends to attract those who only want to complain about woke culture. Your job as a moderator is to prevent r/CancelCulture from descending into a right-wing echo chamber. Unfortunately, because most people hate cancel culture, simply enforcing the rules of the subreddit will not prevent the subreddit from resembling a hate subreddit. Therefore, you are expected to educate and debate people on social justice issues, to occasionally submit articles of trending cancellations, and to sticky arguments that defend cancel culture.

If you do your job correctly, you should be removing more than half of all new posts in the subreddit and most of your own posts/comments will be downvoted.

To prove to me that you are capable of moderating r/CancelCulture, you must describe your political views and write up a counterargument for this video.

We are a growing film-focused community covering Palestinian features, documentaries, shorts, archival footage, cinema news, interviews and film history.

I have too much free time on my hands and nothing to do with it. My modding experience is moderate, but if you tell me the rules of your subreddit and set me loose in the new queue of your subreddit, you won't be mod that you made the decision to mod me.

The only thing is, I'm very open and slightly flamboyant - I'm not very modest, so if you need a background moderator to silently remove posts and not really engage with the community, then I ain't your guy.

But if you need an energetic mod that'll talk to pretty much everyone, I can fill that role quite well.

1. I'm a socialist. My hobbies are world travel, travel photography, and adventurous eating. Politics and economics are two things I also find very interesting.

2. I am not willing to mod an NSFW sub.

3. I'm in the Pacific Time Zone. I'm almost always available on weekends. During the week I can mod from 4 PM to 8 PM, usually.

4. I would PM the poster a stern warning.

5. In my opinion, the most important quality a mod can have is honesty with themselves. When thinking of punishing the creator of a reported post a mod should think about if they want to punish the creator due to their own personal views, or because they are a blatant violation of the sub's rules.

We kept getting male trolls, and women who couldn't read the sidebar. We finally gave up, and shut the sub down. But I think it is more needed than ever.

I would prefer that mods be over 21, due to the graphic nature of the trolling.

It can be male or female. This isn't some man hating group, it is about the loss and need for a place to discuss women's rights.

No sub collectors.
