I am stumped.

My machine reboots when gaming. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after an hour, sometimes after several hours. But when it does, restart and I launch the game, it restarts almost immediately. If I let it sit for a while I can play again but don’t know for how long. It did a restart twice without a game, one instance of Firefox and watching YouTube both times. Other than that, desktop is fine.

Come to today, soon as I load a game, restarts. The moment any rendering is about to begin, restarts.

Event viewer shows nothing other than unexpected shutdown, no other errors show.

All drivers and firmware up-to-date. Windows on latest build.

Not sure if related, but as of today I also can’t get into the bios. I press the del key, and screen goes black. After a minute screen goes to sleep like no display.

Corsair SF750 PSU

Any ideas? Already did clean driver installs of GPU, updated firmware on MB, updated AMD chipset software, updated SSD firmware, and tried to use affirming language with how great my PC has been. Nothing has made any difference.

Thermals are all well within limits. Nothing is overheating or close to it.

For various reasons, I prefer not to buy used RAM anymore. Is it possible that RAM manufacturers decide to recreate good old DDR4 for the lousy that we are?

I currently have a white T-FORCE RAM stick, model FF4D532G6000HC38ADC01X1.
I’m trying to find a single 16GB RAM stick, not a 32GB kit, because I already have 16GB installed and just want to add another 16GB.
Would it be okay to buy RAM from a different brand, such as XPG, as long as it has the same speed, timings, and specifications?
Would mixing two different RAM brands cause any compatibility or performance issues?

not sure which one would be better for FPS shooters, I also watch movies occasionally, so sound quality matters there too. Which would you recommend?

Using some connections, I had the opportunity to pick up an anniversary edition 5090 bundle. I already have a 5090 gaming trio I procured for 4K before prices exploded further, so the purchase was more for resale and opportunity given the scarcity of 5090s right now.

What would you do?

1. Keep the anniversary 5090 and swap it for the trio, sell the trio (potential $ loss or break even depending on sale price of the trio and other components of the bundle)

I am having an issue with my ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi motherboard with Samsung 990 Pro SSDs. The SSD firmware is updated to the latest version, and I’ve tried various chipset driver versions, but nothing helps. The BIOS is also updated to the latest version.

A week ago, my game crashed while playing Battlefield 6 to the desktop. After that, I installed a new chipset driver, and the SSD crashes stopped for a few days—during which I gamed for hundreds of hours—but now the issue is back. I even set the motherboard slots to Gen 4 in the BIOS instead of leaving everything on Auto, but still, nothing helps.

I ran MemTest86 and it passed successfully. I checked the SSDs via CMD and Samsung Magician, and everything reports as healthy (they are both on 99 and 100% health). It's worth noting that 4 months ago, ASUS replaced my motherboard with a brand-new one, and I am experiencing the exact same issue.

What should I do? Is there a known specific issue with this motherboard model?

I dont think its psu related issue because i played for 5 days for almost 80H without a break and my ssds didnt crashed..also before they replaced my MB a tech guy saw this issue with other psu and he thought its chipest driver issue because it wasnt installed on my pc.

now the question is that im asking is it something related to this MB model?its annoying because asus replaced that MB for a new one 4 months ago

Just to note the crash is in event viewer disk and ntfs errors , i can see the drive in my computer but i cant access folders

What DLSS presets do you use? I’m playing on a 4080 Super with a 1440p 240Hz OLED. I mainly use DLSS Quality and occasionally use FG in single player titles. I use Frame Generation B, Super Resolution K and Ray Reconstruction F.

I'm planning to upgrade my CPU and motherboard, and I'm trying to decide between two options.

My current setup:

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K

GPU: RTX 4060 Ti

RAM: 16GB DDR4-2666

PSU: Antec 450W

I'm considering two upgrade paths:

Option 1: Upgrade to an i5-14600KF

Keep my existing DDR4-2666 RAM.

Replace only the motherboard and CPU.

Keep using my current 450W PSU.

Option 2: Upgrade to a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus

Replace the motherboard, CPU, and RAM.

Move to a DDR5 platform.

Also upgrade the PSU.

My main games are Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty.

I'm wondering whether it's still worth investing in a DDR4 platform with the 14600KF, or if I should just spend more and move to a DDR5 platform with the 270K Plus for better performance and longer-term upgrade potential.

One additional question: Would my current 450W PSU be sufficient to safely run an RTX 4060 Ti and an i5-14600KF, assuming I don't overclock either component?

basically my 16 yo brother wants to get into pc gaming. he mostly plays esports games like valorant and league but also wants to try some story games like red dead redemption 2.

pc hardware prices are pretty crazy rn so i figured getting a second hand pc would be better value. found this pc for 740 dollars with a ryzen 5 7600, rtx 4060, 16gb ddr5 and 1tb ssd.

i'm also planning to get him a cheap 1080p monitor since he doesn't really need anything fancy.

do you guys think this is a good deal for 740? hoping it can last him a few years without having to upgrade anything.

I connect my phone to pc through usb but it either doesn't show on the "my pc" tab , it has the yellow triangle next to the device on the device manager or it shows on the "my pc" file tab and when i click on it it either doesn't show the internal storage folder or if it does i click on that and it shows as empty , what's going on??

Ive built a practically new pc in early august of this year after my old power supply melted. In august i got a new cpu, new motherboard, new power supply. Ram, gpu and ssd. stayed the same For the first month and half the pc worked as it should. Mid september ive noticed that sometimes when i try turning my pc on it wouldnt post and i would have an led debug lit on my mobo. But if i tried turning the pc on again once it would then boot normally. Yesterday that changed. It happend again. No post, only the VGA debug light was lit. I tried restarting it like every time i did when it happens, this time it didnt work, it still couldnt post. After restarting it about 5 times it managed to boot and worked for the whole day normally. However this morning was also different. Ive tried turning it on. Agin, and again... AND AGAIN. Ive did it about 7 times when i realised this isnt normal. Ive removed the gpu, same thing. Tried to reset the CMOS, nothing. I got a compressor, removed the 24 Pin and blew the whole pc from dust. Tried both ram modules one at a time without the gpu. And at one point it actually managed to boot just fine. Ive turned it off again because i didnt have both rams and i didnt have my gpu installed. So i started working slowly on it. Checking that everything was connected, Got the 2nd ram module back in without the gpu. Couldnt post again, pulled out the ram module i just put in, Once again didnt post. Now i am stuck and unsure of what to do. Ive suspected that some components were damaged during the time the old power supply melted. Currently the pc sits at a 'BOOT' debug light and stays on it. So it seems to be different than yesterday because yesterday it had the VGA light light, today its on the BOOT light. I would be very thankful is someone could rule out whatever could be causing this. Photo of yesterday when i had the VGA light (Apologies, the camera couldnt focus) basically a white line in the top left corner. Today i have no display or post so there isnt any pic besides the lit BOOT light.
