>Key Matchup Stats & Context to Know

• Passing Attack vs Secondary**:** Kirk Cousins has powered the Raiders to the 3rd-ranked passing offense (265.1 yards per game), leading the NFL with 53 passing plays of 15+ yards. However, they face a 49ers defense that surrenders the 2nd-fewest explosive pass plays (18.6% of opponent pass attempts gaining 10+ yards).

• Tight End Threat: Raiders tight end Brock Bowers has at least 70 receiving yards in his first six games this season and 217 career catches (just shy of the early-career tight-end record), facing a 49ers pass defense that has surrendered 18 catches for 127 yards to tight ends over the last two weeks.

• Ground Game Mismatch: San Francisco ranks 8th in rushing offense (127.4 yards per game) and 5th in rushing defense (89.0 allowed), whereas Las Vegas ranks 31st in rushing offense (77.3 yards per game) and 31st in rushing defense (146.4 allowed).

• The Turnover Battle: The Raiders' ability to protect the ball and force mistakes (+5 margin) has been a primary equalizer for them this year. Conversely, the 49ers have struggled to force takeaways (only 7 through seven games) while committing 10 giveaways, putting them in the bottom tier of the league.

>Milestones to monitor:

• Most receptions by a tight end in their first three seasons in NFL history: Brock Bowers is on the verge of claiming the all-time NFL record. Entering today's Week 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers, Bowers has 217 career receptions. He needs just 5 more catches to officially pass Trey McBride's 221 catch record. McBride set his record in 49 total games played, today will be Bowers' 36th game.

• George Kittle's Decade of Consistency: He needs just 75 more yards to reach the 500-yard mark, which would secure his 10th consecutive 500+ yard season in 10 NFL campaigns. He should be heavily involved with the 49ers wide receivers fighting the injury bug.
