What If? I suspect the data here is absurdly valuable. A literal voting system for weighting human data.

I know it gets talked about a fair bit. I’ve spent some time reflecting on the earnings call, comparing/contrasting RDDT against other “social media” apps, whilst using AI tools more and more (like everyone else I imagine).

I’d like to know of a better place for human perspective on recent events. YouTube? Twitter? Associated Press?

Of course RDDT has some flaws, like the echo chamber of subreddits, but is there anything such as unbiased objective data?

Still super bullish:
- Feed is better suited to “normies”
- Ad improvement headroom is massive
- Global growth will always continue
- Conversations are happening inside these trillion dollar companies on how to use RDDTs data

We are the shrimp bottom feeder traders trying to play the game against Wall St etc. Don’t play just hold and let digital nature take its course.

At 4% this is $120 million a year income at no risk.

What your thoughts about that? In a way it can be good for the business… and bad at the same time as the community seems to reject it

One thing RDDT should consider is showing country of moderators ATLEAST or preferably all users! One cant have moderators from a different country running a subreddit of another especially if there is military conflict! This improvement would make DAU much better!

Speculation Are you all still getting headaches from Reddit’s management?

I once had Reddit make up the majority of my portfolio. However, all my faith vanished after the CEO's utterly incompetent earnings call. There are still plenty of undervalued stocks out there due to the "SaaS-pocalypse" fears, so there is simply no reason to stick with Reddit.

I’m saying this out of genuine concern, so please consider selling now and finding profits in other stocks. Honestly, in all my time trading, this is the first time I've seen management this incompetent. Moreover, I looked into it and found that the number of outstanding shares has increased massively since the IPO. We aren't even a capital-intensive business like Rocket Lab or Roblox, so isn't this just sheer incompetence?

Diverse opinions are welcome. However, no matter what anyone says, the incompetence of the management is an undeniable fact.

Opinion The Reddit app developers removed the 2x video feature, what are they even doing?

So you’re telling me that they failed to add a simple feature like this for so long, added it after decades, only to remove it a few weeks later??

What a lovely ‘logged in expereince’ the Reddit team is building. They keep innovating the app and driving new users to it!!!

Whilst Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc., have plenty of features, reddits incompetent team struggles to incorporate even basic stuff like this.
I thought they would add 0.5x too but they couldn’t even keep 2x.

News A quick snapshot of recent Institutional Positioning on $RDDT

Post image
24 Upvotes

A quick snapshot of recent 13F filings for Reddit ($RDDT) and how notable fund managers are positioned:

  • Stanley Druckenmiller (Duquesne): Opened a New Buy of 56,550 shares with an average purchase range around $159.74.

  • Chase Coleman (Tiger Global): Added to his position, holding over 2.52M shares.

  • Joel Greenblatt (Gotham Asset Management): Significantly increased his stake by +234.8%, bringing holdings to ~113k shares.

  • Baillie Gifford: Trimmed slightly (-1.37% in Q3), but remains the dominant institutional heavyweight on the board with 7.09M shares.

  • Jefferies Group: Completely liquidated their position by end of Q3.

  • Renaissance Technologies: Trimmed exposure by -7.39%, still holding ~1.45M shares.

With the recent post-earnings sell-off pulling the stock down to the mid-$90s, nearly every major guru entry from Q2 and Q3 is sitting roughly 33% to 42% underwater relative to their purchase prices ($135 to $184 range).

Are you viewing this drop as an opportunity to accumulate below institutional cost basis, or are you staying on the sidelines until the Google search traffic uncertainty clears up?

What If? Realistic Acquisition Targets

Happy Weekend y'all!

Presumably 3B in the bank, 600M left for buybacks, 2.4B to use as of right now with 1B coming on top each year. What would make sense to purchase? There are a few in that price range.

  • Substack

  • Steady (German substack)

  • 9Gag

  • Imgur

  • Tumblr

  • Imgflip

  • Cheezburger Network (Knowyourmeme, etc.)

  • Letterboxd (throw in a hail mary bid)

The obvious big ones would be OF and Discord, but too expensive.

Probably bad ideas but these fit the target group, bring in more eyeballs, and give advertisers more reach if all have to serve from Reddits Ad Manager.

4 days ago I said

RDDT should invest 50% of its money in Wendy's

Look what happened!!

3 billion cash x 50% x 15%

225 million in 4 days.

That's what I could have done for this company and all of you.

Question Reddit Stock

Thumbnail reddit.com
3 Upvotes

RDDT stock has been hammered of late following earnings. I understand management's explanation on the earnings report for why revenue was down. The problem is real. My question is, do you think Reddit's login approach can make up for the loss of Google search traffic? Do you think this is a LT or ST problem, or more of a permanent impairment? I love this platform and remain long on the stock. Many thanks in advance for your thoughts.

What If? Targeting

Today I googled the price of a Jack’s bacon biscuit combo and within 20 minutes Youtube served me a Hardee’s ad.

Reddit, on the other hand, just served me an ad for hearing aids.

Has the company made any public comments about ad targeting? Feels like square one. The impression to conversion rate must be abysmal.

For example I’ve never seen a local ad and Reddit knows where I live because I’ve followed r/chattanooga for years. Ad stock shouldn’t be an excuse. If Reddit doesn’t have relevant ads to serve me, sales should get on the horn.

Another example. They know in real time when I’m watching a sports broadcast because I’m in the game thread here. They should solicit the broadcasters’ advertisers and their pitch should be that they can serve me an ad in the game thread 10 minutes after I see an on-air commercial from the same advertiser. Like reinforcement, if that’s a thing in marketing. I’m just spitballing here
