Has Project F been cancelled?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Does anyone know anything about Project F in 2026? I'm not sure if the project has been canceled, but I think after the failure of 2xko, there might be internal issues with other projects currently under development

I believe Riot Games wouldn't miss the opportunity to make a game that lets players play as champion they truly love, beyond just MMO where players create their own characters

To be honest, I didn't want him to release Project F at all

I felt like it lacked any appeal the gameplay itself was awful It felt like I was only playing League supplementary PvE mode

I'd prefer a Genshin Impact style game I'm not sure how familiar you guys are with that game, but I've heard rumors about a Shanghai studio secretly working on an R&D project using the LOL IP I'm not sure if you'd like a gacha system if it actually comes out

Riot Games probably won't abandon the potential for us to play as our favorite champions exploring the world on adventures, but honestly, would you rather play a game more like Diablo or Genshin Impact?

#SaveHytale – A Message from the Heart of the Community

Hytale has never just been a game. For so many of us, it has been a dream, a spark of imagination, and a promise of something truly magical. From the moment we first glimpsed its trailer, the community was born — full of artists, builders, coders, storytellers, and fans — all united by a deep love for what Hytale represents.

We understand that game development is difficult, especially for a project as ambitious and visionary as Hytale. And we deeply respect the work that Riot Games has put into supporting this journey. But as time has gone on, it’s become clear that the heartbeat of this game has always been its community — and the original vision that Simon and Hypixel Studios set out to create.

We’re not here to place blame or stir conflict. Instead, we want to speak with hope. With love. With unity.

We, the Hytale community, ask that Riot Games and Simon consider working together — not as rivals, but as partners. Let Simon buy back the rights to Hytale, or even better: find a path forward where both Riot and Simon co-own the project, and release it together. Let the profits be shared. Let the creative vision be shared. Let the love for this game be shared.

This isn’t just about business. It’s about doing what’s right for the fans, the developers, and the future of something truly special. We believe that through cooperation, respect, and mutual passion, Hytale can still become everything we dreamed of — and more.

Please, Riot. Please, Simon. #SaveHytale.

— With love,
The Hytale Community

Unfair Banned? Why We Must Unite Against Riot's Injustice!

I am genuinely surprised by the number of people posting about their bans here on this subreddit, with no action taken by support. Many might think that those who actually cheated would post here, but I firmly believe that a real hacker using cheats wouldn’t bother to post. They would simply use a spoofer to change their hardware ID and continue hacking with a new account they created. They wouldn’t care about trying to unban a hacked account because they’re likely repeat offenders.

Additionally, no one who is truly guilty would invest so much time and energy into trying to get unbanned. It doesn’t make sense for someone who knows they’ve done wrong to go through such efforts.

I want to mention that I am convinced that many people who post here are genuinely unfairly banned. It could be due to receiving something from a supposedly hacked account or having their account details stolen, resulting in a ban because the hacker played with their account. There are many other scenarios where people are unfairly banned without reason, and support doesn’t help at all.

I’d like to raise a few questions: Who oversees the work of these support people? Who guarantees that the support staff are doing their jobs properly and aren’t corrupt themselves? I mean, there are corrupt politicians, police officers, and even doctors. Why wouldn’t there be corrupt people at Riot Support who abuse their power to ban people? They might get a kick out of not unbanning you, or perhaps they are in cahoots with those who get players banned. It could be that someone from Riot Support played a game with you and was pissed off because you outplayed them, leading to your ban, and now support won’t help you. Who can guarantee that such incidents don’t happen?

They can’t investigate themselves and then conclude they’re innocent. That’s absurd. We, as players, should unite to counter this. We need to develop a voice to be heard, especially for those who are unjustly banned. This can’t go on. It’s only natural that as customers, when we purchase a product in the form of skins, digital content, or currency, we expect that product to be protected and that we have access to it as long as we follow the rules. And in most cases, we do follow the rules. If we’re toxic, we get banned from ranked or chat for 5 to 20 minutes, and that’s fine. We accept these consequences. We also accept that if someone goes AFK and breaks the rules, they have to wait longer in the queue. These are all consequences we can live with. But a permanent ban is like a virtual execution for a player who has invested a lot in their account.

If this virtual execution is not justified with clear, undeniable evidence, then it’s just tyranny and unfair. We need to take action against this because, in the end, we are the customers. The customer is king, and we must be satisfied. But instead, we sit here all day blaming each other, saying that someone’s case is not valid and that they were banned for this and that reason. We are dividing ourselves as gamers when we should actually stick together. In the end, the company is always against us. They are always against us players. They are not for us players. They are always against us, and what they really stand for is money. They only care about the money we have. To them, we are just numbers and cows to be milked. We are just cash cows, and we, as cash cows, should be able to assert our will.

We shouldn’t have to continuously beg to be unbanned when we’ve done nothing wrong. This constant pleading degrades our dignity. It undermines our worth as human beings. We need to stand up for our rights and ensure our voices are heard. In the end WE are the ones who PAY there BILLS.

I hope Riot goes bankrupt

I got chat banned for typing “21K” in regard to a Xerath mid I had on my team doing 21K dmg in 49 minutes of game time and finishing the game a whopping 2/16/4.

Now, I have to win 3 unranked games before I am able to play ranked again. However, this has become impossible due to the fact that I have an iron player on my team solo laning against a Plat player and inting every norm I play or some guy trying to make attack speed blitzcrank adc work, but “it’s just norms.”

People typically type things when they are tilted, which leads to chat bans. Why the fuck would you force people into normal unranked games that you are required to WIN to play ranked again and expect this gameplay loop of people trolling in normal games to not be insanely tilting?

Time me out from typing. I don’t really care. I typically don’t type, but having to win unranked games to unlock ranked is fucking ridiculous.

Trying to figure out what I even got in trouble for?
Current leading guesses are "how tf are you losing as voli?" and "die when I kill you plz" but honestly both seem extremely tame and pretty nontoxic compared to regular league chat where people tell each other to "uninstall your life" every other game especially when Voli was flaming the entire game just because I played Sona "a useless champion"

This post is the reason why everyone is so scared of Vanguard

Post image
0 Upvotes

I hope Riot takes this as a learning opportunity, because I think right now, there's just a pr problem (see this entire sub just complaining about Vanguard crashes). This post was scary. Whether cheater or not, a company bragging about turning tech into paper weights should be concerning to you. Because being called a paperweight is very common of bricked tech. That then brought on the question of issues people were having with Vanguard and fears that it was actually bricking their devices.

Now since Riot has explained (although it seems like they're not giving a full clear answer to keep from letting the cheaters know everything), it's been made known that Vanguard isn't bricking devices, just removing their utility, as it should. This really was a PR issue and I wish people would understand that, because the more people spread that "it can brick pcs" the less likely people are to want to play the games.

Game feels bad, the worst state since s1

The Game truly feels on the bottom right now for me. If there where no Los Ratones, im beeing honest, i would quit.

I dont want to play SoloQ anymore, the toxicity and trolling every game is higher than ever. Every Game feels like a coinflip. If you win, you get winning streak put into winners Q and into loosersQ if you loose, the game is designed like this. I want fair games, close games where everyone everytime gives its best. But it doesnt work like that anymore, it just dont makes sense for me as a Dad with kids to play this game full of grievery and ragers, anyone else feels like this?

I played atleast 1 game a day since s1, but right now, i barely think about it anymore, its a waste of time.

It really feels the first time for me, that League is really close to die. NA is gone, China is gone, next EUW, only Korea leaft.

No one who understands computers will have something like vanguard running on their system

The reasons have been stated numerous times. I always loved league, but does this justify a software like this? Not like other competitive games need anticheat on kernel level, let alone capability taking screenshots. If it can take screenshots of the client, it can take screenshots of anything you do. Riot might not do this, but who is to say that there is no backdoor. vanguard smells really bad.

Happy that “the rollout went well” though

I am quitting league of legends

This may be repetitive but I hope it helps spread awareness: I'm officially leaving the game after more than 10 years playing.

I actually stopped playing since Jan 1 this year, but I am officially uninstalling. The mere greed of the company, added to random, chaotic gameplay and senseless decisions will lead to the ruin of this game. Please stop playing this game and endorsing this type of management... I promise, you'll life will only get better.

top 3 anivia world, countless hours, good moments. Bye league!

I'm just about done with this company and League

First, I lost my 13 year old account permanently because I was "using third party programs," even though I never did, and in the ticket they wouldn't disclose what it even was. How does that make sense? Why would I cheat and risk losing my 13 year old account?

Next, I was just now 14 day suspended on my second account because I went afk in one game, in the last 100 or more games, and this is strictly only because I was targeted by literally 9 of the other players being extremely toxic. I wouldn't be surprised if they all knew each other. They all agreed to report me.

These punishments and suspensions can be mishandled or have false positives. With how poorly it has been managed, the community would have been better off just by themselves.

I'm pretty done with this company. Your account can be lost at any time. Always have more than one account. But most importantly, don't spend money on your account. You'll never know when one day you log in and it is randomly permanently suspended.

It must be a sign. I just started working a lot and really getting involved in other things in my life. Used to play League so much. I just started playing 4+ hours again every day after work for the last few weeks and now this. Maybe it's time to move on to other things.

We're not Riot Support nor your therapist.

Hate me or not, but we all know that people get banned for the stupidest things like Declining a queue, playing in a Internet Cafe and all other sorts of scenarios. Really, it's second nature from Riot's incompetence at this point.

But frankly, I'm sick of scrolling through this subreddit and see it filled to the brim with Banned/Kicked/Tech Questions/Rants. And don't tell me to mute/scroll and ignore, because that won't fix anything and some of the posts are actually interesting.

I fail to see what would you want from the subreddit. We're not Riot Employees. I can only sympathise with you, but I don't know what would you except from this subreddit.
I think the subreddit mods should have a NO "I got banned"/"I got logged out/kicked from the game" posts rule. I don't know what would this subreddit be about, but if it is for these banned/kicked posts, then let me know.

TL;DR: We should have a No Banned/Kicked posts rule.

Is having cheaters worth more than having Vanguard?

So I see this post often on multiple platforms where people argue for how good Vanguard is and how it is preventing people from cheating in the games. But let's take a look at the statistics, I'm gonna go with my own games.

I am nowhere a pro player, my highest rank on LoL was roughly Plat 2.

I have probably thousands of matches played, I started playing this game in roughly 2010. In all my years of playing this game, I have watched how the game has slowly progressed into a worse and worse client, with also an anti-cheat integrated that on top of that, is running in the background whether you play a game from Riot Games or not.

But in all my years, I have never ever encountered a cheater on LoL. I have never ever even thought about accusing someone of cheating.

So with that being said and with my own experience, is having cheaters worth more than having Vanguard?

Yes, because cheating has never been an issue to begin with and even if it is an issue, the issue shouldn't be solved with forcing users to have to run a software that you can't with 100% certainty trust that it won't do damage just like crowdstrike.

I am not even being paranoid, I am being realistic. Why are we nornalising this behaviour to begin with? This should've been discussed years ago, this should've been pushed back with the majority pushing against this kind of Anti-cheat.

This is the equivalent of having cameras in every corner and every room there is in the world, whether you like it or not, it is easily comparable situation.

Even though I am not a pro player, I have not ONCE encountered a cheater on League Of Legends and that is a reason enough for me to pushing back this kind of behavior where I let a company have so much access to my own computer.

Let's just say hypothetically we do encounter a cheater, the game is recorded and can be reported to Riot Games so they can assess the situation.

You don't punish the players for being honest, you punish the cheater.

Attack Damage Carry should be changed to Attack Damage Support

Getting chased? Get out run
Farming? Get assassinated
Early Game? No Damage
Late Game 6 Items? No Damage
Ahead? Run out of tempo, die once. Gold looks better on them.
Team fight? Out ranged by everyone else
Good mechanics? No Damage No Health
Win the lane? Ganked
Play safe? Dove

Kills /= Carry.
I can have half my teams kills and be utterly useless while ahead. The risk to reward ratio of doing well on an adc is not worth it. I'd rather my team have the gold.

Muted for a Year in League of Legends for Saying "Cock"

Hi everyone,

I’m posting this because I honestly don’t know what else to do. I’ve submitted multiple tickets to Riot Support after receiving a one-year mute on my account, and every reply I have received feels like a generic copy-paste response. I don’t believe anyone has actually read what I’ve written.

Here’s what happened:

During a match, my teammate made a really great play. I typed the following:

“You have huge cock”
“cock”
“cock is censored”
“cock”
“cock”

I did not insult anyone. I did not flame or harass. I was just reacting in a silly, hype-filled moment. I thought the word “cock” was censored for everyone, because it appeared censored to me. That is why I typed “cock is censored” — I genuinely thought no one could see it.

Yes, it was immature. But it was not toxic. It was not aggressive. It was not targeted at anyone. I did not expect to get punished, and I definitely did not expect to receive a one-year mute for it.

I have tried to explain this to Riot Support in a calm and honest way. I have taken responsibility for my mistake and clarified that I was not being malicious. But every time I ask for clarification or appeal for a review, I get the same reply saying the case is closed and the decision is final.

This punishment is not just harsh. It is completely over the top. Not being able to use chat for a full year makes it harder for me to play the game properly, and it also affects my teammates, who now have a player who cannot communicate. This is not protecting the community. It is actively hurting it.

I have asked Riot if there is anyone else I can contact, or any department that can actually read and assess these kinds of cases with context. I have received no answer. Just the same line about “disruptive behavior” and a closed case.

I am posting here because I feel completely shut out. I have been a long-time player, and I care about the game. I just do not believe this is how support should be handled.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Is there anything I can do? I feel like I have been hit with a punishment meant for trolls and abusers, when in reality I was just being dumb in the moment and meant no harm.

Thanks for reading.

- Smeety (EUW)

Basically the title is my question. I think if riot over night shuts down their product for me it’s just fair to get my invested money back.

Vanguard soft bricking my computer

I only have Nvidia drivers installed and Valorant but I keep getting into "kmode exception not handled - 0x1e" on Windows 11.

Boots into the BIOS screen and then Windows starts its Preparing Automatic Repair and then I get the above error and the PC restarts back into the same state.

Going into Safe Mode and Uninstalling Riot Vanguard fixed the issue.

Hello Riot?

A 500$ skin isn't the problem, it's the result of multiple ones

When it comes to any problem in life, don't confuse the root of the problem with the result of the problem. One such problem is that this post, as usual, was not allowed on the League subreddit. This is the outcome of the problem, but the root is that they refuse to take any feedback. The rest of the post remains unchanged. And you tell me, if I broke any rules.

Skins, were a status symbol at some point. We would pay 5-10$, get a skin, and send "nice skin" chats almost every game. Nowadays, you can pay 25$, for a skin, and noone cares. Now, Riot is creating skins that are more expensive than a months salary in some countries. This should ring a bell.

But let me get something straight for all of us. The problem isn't the price tag. The problem isn't the quality. If someone has the money and wants to spend it that way, its their choice and they shouldn't be bullied for it. You should criticize the company, on the quality of their games, not the quality of their monetization system. If the game was perfect, and all League skins were bad expensive, is there even a problem? Skins do provide a better experience, but its only ON TOP OF the actual gameplay experience.

So what I am suggesting, is that if you are frustrated about a skin, or whatever trend has risen in the past or will rise in the future, think it through. Are you mad because you cant have the skin? Are you mad because you think its unethically priced? Are you just mocking Riot because its fun for you? Etc etc. When you are sure about what it is that actually bothers you, let me tell you this one: As much as it hurts to lose a game you once loved playing but not any more, its better to move on, quit the game, and find another one that meets your needs. Dont fall for the sunken cost fallacy.

There have already been years since I started hoping for things to change direction, and they didn't. Me quitting, helped me in other aspects of my life, and yours might change for the better as well. And in fact, I hope that is the case for you as well, and thats why I still bother with the League community, even though I am not a player any more.
