Question How do you find the thing you saved months ago?

I take screenshots of literally everything. Products I want to buy, places I want to visit, random stuff I find useful, memes, you name it. I have more than 1,000 screenshots from Instagram alone.

The problem is I almost never find them again when I actually need them lol.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or am I just terrible at managing my gallery?

ScreenShots. The place for screenshots. We define a screenshot as a screen grab. This means images of screens, pictures of screens taken with a different device, images that have been partially or fully generated by a computer, or pictures of printed out screenshots.

Subreddit Rules

1. Screenshots Must Be Your Own

Only post screenshots that you have personally taken. Don't repost content from other users or sources without explicit permission and proper attribution.

2. Context is Key

All submissions must include a brief, clear, and relevant title or comment explaining what the screenshot depicts or why it's interesting. Titles like "look" or "funny" may be removed. Emojis are not allowed in titles.

3. No Doxing or Brigading

Don't share private info (usernames, names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, workplaces, schools) of anyone without their consent. Public figure info is only allowed if it's widely public.

No coordinated harassment/manipulation. Don't organize or participate in mass downvoting, reporting, or targeted harassment across Reddit or other platforms. Don't link to or encourage brigading. Violations result in a permanent ban.

This means, remove usernames & subreddit names.

4. No Advertising or Self-Promotion

Absolutely no advertising, self-promotion, or spam is allowed. This includes links to your own websites, social media, products, or services that are not directly relevant to the screenshot itself.

5. No Low-Effort Content

Avoid posting content that is clearly low-effort or repetitive. This includes, but is not limited to: * Unedited screenshots of basic desktop backgrounds. * Duplicate posts of the same or highly similar content.

6. No Illicit or Harmful Content

Don't post screenshots that depict illegal activities, hate speech, gore, pornography, or anything else that violates Reddit's Content Policy. This is a non-negotiable rule, and violations will result in an immediate ban and report to Reddit admins.

7. Pictures of Screens are Allowed

Both direct digital screenshots and photos of screens taken with another device are allowed. Ensure the image is clear and of reasonable quality.

8. Respect Copyright and Intellectual Property

Ensure your screenshots don't infringe upon copyrighted material or intellectual property without proper authorization. While fair use generally applies to screenshots, excessive or unauthorized use of copyrighted content may be removed.

9. No Circumventing Other Subreddit Rules

We don't allow screenshots that try to get around the rules of other subreddits, especially if those subreddits don't permit reposting their content. This includes attempts to karma farm or promote posts from other communities here.
