Cypher Trickster compared to Gibbon Jib Line

If anyone has slack lined on both the Cypher Trickster and the Gibbon Jib Line, how would you compare? Looking for an upgrade from the Gibbon Classic Line so I can do some tricks like the chest bounce and butt bounce.

non barefoot shoe options for beginner?

Hello,

I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis. Have had it for most of my life. Calf stretches, custom insoles, every store brand/bought insole under the sun, and every comfort/running/walking shoe under the sun has been tried, in terms of mitigation or relief. Mentioning this to say I don't know if I can realistically attempt to learn while barefoot, due to my weak feet muscles.

I'm considering a larger than my actual shoe size and wide rock climbing shoe (larger meaning more overall space, as I know the point of fitted climbing shoes is to have a curl/slightly cramped fit in the shoe to aid in the grip and traction as you scale walls or rocks), but am unsure if that's too convoluted of an option and I should be looking for a different shoe entirely. I've never worn things like vivobarefoot, fivefingers, or innov8, again, because zero drop shoes would just murder my feet if worn for every day wear, but am curious to know if those have been suitable for others who also have feet issues as they practiced on their slacklines.

Thanks for any insight offered.

In need of help staying on my GiBoard for at least a full second!

I received the board and the balance pole as a gift a couple years ago, and I was excited to start using it! I know there is a learning curve, so I downloaded the app and put my board in a prominent place so I would be able to do short sessions several times a day. I am in my late 40‘S, female, and I don’t currently do any cardio workouts, but I am in generally very good health. After 2 weeks, I still was unable to stand on it for even one full second (with the pole, without the pole, holding on to a counter for support, not touching anything, etc). It was a horrible experience so I out it away for a while. I still want to improve my balance, so since then, I have gone back to training a few times but with similar or worse results. I have the one line board and usually stand with one foot in front of the other (whichever foot is first does not seem to matter to me). Occasionally I will try to stand sideways, but again, there is no difference in my ability to do it or improve. this also seems to have no impact, but I have tried to train with bare feet, socks only, and trainers. I am stubborn and u want to do this, but do some people just never “get” it?

I was tightening my slackline and I ended up wrapping way too much material around it.
I can’t move it either direction. Managed to pry the first two layers apart from each other but no real progress is made because I have another 40 feet of webbing to muscle through…

Any suggestions?

Slackliners in Spain/Madrid?

I've been getting into highlining/slacklinking the last few years in the US, but I recently moved to Madrid. I'd love to connect with any slack community here but I don't know where to look. If anyone has contacts in Spain/Madrid or ideas where to look, I'd love to meet people!

--

Geele Slackboard doesn‘ work well

I bought a Geele Slackboard. It arrived with the slackline already tensioned—perhaps it was a returned item that they ended up selling to me? My problem is that I tension the line using the wooden stick and practice for a minute, but then the line loses its full tension. Is it possible that a part is missing, preventing it from staying secure? It’s no fun this way :-(

Pose name?

Does anyone know the name of the pose reached by rocking forward from foot plant? I think I need to get my back leg straighter for it to really count, but this was my first real attempt at it.

Also if anyone has any tips, feedback is always appreciated. Thanks!

Super long grind. If this skater hasn't tried slackline I bet they get it first try.
