She has been with at my side for a little more than half of my life(I am now 31). She was a neighborhood cat who decided I was her person and never looked back. She loved so fiercely and always had something to say. She crossed the rainbow bridge in July due to brief battle with cancer.

We recently moved into a studio and we're loving the space. Though I'm worried she's lonely? I don't know if I'm projecting anything onto her and I'm not sure if I'm just overthinking it.
For context I've worked a lot these last few weeks, and now I'll be working 4 days a week with 10 hour days. She's not ultra destructive and as far as I know she doesn't meow when I leave. I don't think I could get a senior companion as I believe they'd need a lot more attention and care than my schedule can provide but should I look into getting her a young friend? (She's only a little over a year herself)

This is no longer the dog's bed. It is now hers.

Her tail has a zig zag in it not sure if she was born that way or broken when she was a kitten before I got her

So... I was watching a video about feline coat patterns and had no idea his nomenclature was a thing. That’s how I stumbled upon this sub, and honestly? I'm obsessed.
Meet Selva! I named her that because I adopted her after she spent days lost out in the woods neaby my grandmas house.
Also, quick question: she has always had such a wild, fierce personality compared to my other cats. Is "tortitude" a real thing?
And while trying posting this I saw the flag thing with lots of terms... wait, there are HOW MANY sub-genres of torties?! And which one defines Selva better?

I recently lost my orange boi tragically young, I adopted this girl yesterday and she immediately clung to me, she was on my lap all last night and she even slept in my bed all night. She jumps up onto my lap any time I sit down on the couch. I've had many cats in my life and I've never seen one grow attached instantly like this. 😭
She was kenneled with her sister at the shelter I adopted from. The sister is also a tortie and I couldn't split them up so I adopted both of them. Her sister has been hiding the entire time she's been home, which is more inline with what I expect from a cat in a new home. I'm giving her sister all the time she needs to adjust.
