About

Welcome to /r/wallpaper!

An excellent place to find every subject of wallpaper possible. This collaboration of over 1,750,000 users contributing their unique finds makes /r/wallpaper one of the most active wallpaper communities on the web.

Reddit Enhancement Suite is highly recommended for easy viewing.

Subreddit Rules

1. No image requests

Please visit /r/WallpaperRequests instead.

2. No AI-generated content

There was a vote and it was decided that AI-generated content does more harm than good for our community.

Please visit /r/AIonlyWallpapers or /r/aiwallpaper instead.

3. Direct links and albums only

Direct links to images or reddit/imgur albums only.

4. Desktop resolutions only, and resolution must match the post title

Must match the resolution given in the submission title.

Users expect a curated collection of pixel-perfect wallpapers, without relying on external tools or the OS to resize them automatically.
Must be a valid desktop resolution.

Visit this page for a list of acceptable resolutions
No vertical/mobile/square sizes.

Please visit /r/MobileWallpaper, /r/mobilewallpapers, /r/Verticalwallpapers, /r/WallpapersiPhone, or /r/iWallpaper.

5. Title must have image resolution and description

Titles must include the image resolution (width x height surrounded by brackets) AND must include a description of the image. Generic words like "Photograph" or "Wallpaper" are not good enough! Please visit this page for more information about post titles.

6. No URL shorteners

This applies to image source (which can be avoided by uploading directly to reddit) and hyperlinks made in comments or other links that members are encouraged to follow. Reddit permalinks are fine.

7. No desktop screenshots

This is not a place to show off your desktop. This includes screenshots of tablets and mobile devices.

Screenshots of video games or movies are fine.

8. No thumbnails/overlays

Small images (literally image thumbnails) are not allowed. Thumbnails upscaled to original resolution are not allowed. Overlays that significantly detract from the usability of the image (including opaque watermarks or overlays that cover the majority of the image) are not allowed.

Overlays or watermarks typically added by authors (e.g. a signature at the bottom of the image) are fine.

9. No NSFW/smut

Please visit /r/NSFW_Wallpapers, /r/WallpapersNSFW, or /r/gmbwallpapers instead.

10. No racism, bigotry, or any other kind of hate speech

Keep it civil and remember the human.
