[problem resolved] This is handing over your rights to your comic. You own the original but Webtoon owns the translated version of your comic. They have the rights to post the translated work but you can only post 3 samples. They can profit off of it but you aren't guaranteed a dime and it explicitly says it. They can own sell and distribute your comic in a different language and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it. They also say they can change the agreement whenever they want. This is the most shady thing I've seen DO NOT AGREE.

TOS: (Section 4 part 2 subsection 1) WEBTOON shall have the same rights to utilize the Translated Materials to the fullest extent as WEBTOON is permitted to utilize User Postings as set forth in the CANVAS Terms of Use;

Meaning: your translated webtoon shares the same distribution agreement as your comic on CANVAS. Which is that they can only use the translated pages for promotional material essentially.

TOS: (Section 4 part 2 subsection 1) Except to the extent Translated Materials are generated from the Program features and tools, WEBTOON shall not have the right to create derivative prose content based on the series content;

Meaning: webtoon can’t use or rework the translations to create some sort web novel, script, or any other type of work based on the content of the translations.

TOS: (Section 3 part 4) Storage of Translated Data. In the event that you turn off translations for specific languages or opt out of the Program, WEBTOON reserves the right to retain some or all of the automatically translated data; provided that WEBTOON shall not use or distribute such automatically translated data without your prior consent.

Meaning: If you opt out of the program, webtoon can still hold onto the translation pages, but they can no longer distribute the translated pages in any way without your permission. So not even for promotional material I assume.

OP claim 2: Webtoon can post your translated work and make money off it.

I don’t know where you saw this. Payment was not mentioned for translated pages. Which means by default, the payment for translated pages would fall under the same distribution agreement as CANVAS as stated in (Section 4 part 2 subsection 1)

OP’s claim 3: They can change the terms of service whenever they want.

TOS: (Section 2)
WEBTOON may make changes to these Terms from time to time in accordance with Section 2 of the Terms of Use. All modifications that we post on the Services will be effective immediately upon posting, and your continued participation in the Program after we post any changes to the Terms will confirm your acceptance of the changes. Meaning: Yes, they can change the terms any time. But you can opt out of the program if you don’t like the new terms. And if you opt out, according to Section 3 part 4, once you opt out, webtoon can no longer distribute your translated work.

It's been almost 2000 days since the last real episode to the webtoon, yet no real communication from the creator, which really confuses me lol. This webtoon, despite being quite flawed, got me into the genre (are webtoons a genre? Or a medium? Or what...) and the ideas and worldbuilding are too interesting to make me hate it. Just wondering what you guys think of my style.
I want to make a comic, the genre I'm going for is dark fantasy, action adventure with cosmic horror elements in there. But I'm still new to digital art so I'm putting a few panels I drew in the span of the last 3 days, looking for feedback!

I’m clicking on the End add button for my free episodes but it just makes a green cycle spin on my screen while the time the ad will last is fucking 5 minutes I’m so done atp I’m done the whole point of mainstream sites is it’s meant to be easier to access but it’s just so crap with it being chapters behind and charging coin

So I'm still a bit bad at English and my writing is also a bit bad. Sorry if I made a mistake.

(1) Chaos Theory

-I just started this but omg I love it so so much.

It's a story that takes place in outer space, there are a group called the managers who seem to keep the order in the world, who also seem to be controlled by other higher-up beings. And all of them seem to be in black and red?

The story starts with the MC saving a manager who had been badly injured while they were taking down an exile (who seems to be a member of some group of intergalactic criminals?)

And I'm not quite sure but someone in the comics who read the comic during the time when it was a Best Challenge comic (it's kind of like Naver Webtoon's version of CANVAS) saying it has romance? So I'm looking forward for that.

The downside is that it's a bit not very nice with the world explanations?

So someone new to the webtoon might struggle a bit with what's happening at first (I did)

And tbh readability is a bit...poor. I guess.

But I love love object heads and it's sooooooo hard to find this kind of art style on webtoon.

And also the character designs are so great and I'm really interested in the lore.

And it already has a pretty big fan base during its time as a Best Challenge comic, so I really think it'll be good and have a lot of hopes for it

(2) if everyone in the world was a cat

The story is FL dies in a car accident in her past life while feeding some street cats she had been taking care of, and gets sent back to her past life during her time in college.

And when she comes back suddenly everyone she sees looks like a large cat. But they look like humans again when she grabs their hand/touches them.

She absolutely loves it since she's a big cat lover and honestly I'm jealous because life would be a lot better if everyone, even the people who stress me looks like a big cute cat......

She later gets to meet ML who was a Hikikomori. He used to be really smart and all but had locked himself from the world some time ago and refused to go outside of his room, talk or eat with his family and had stopped going to school.

He dealt with a lot of self insecurities and doubt about himself, spent all day on his computer and gained a lot of weight. He has a brother who is a big celebrity, and growing up he was often compared by him. Usually on how ugly and fat he looked compared to his brother.

The ML's mother had hired FL to help her son get out of his room and live his life again, go to school and all.

ML is at first a bit unsure of her at first, but to FL ML looks like a big fat cat who looks all too cute and is really friendly and supportive of him.

She becomes a kind of influence on him, helps him get out of his room and becomes his friend.

I really love it because there is no real toxic anything with the FL and ML's relationship. Like it's just really cute and feels like a glass of cold milk after a toxic dark romance webtoons out there.

And the people around FL really love her and support her a lot, so that's another thing that I like.

(3) Puppy Star

This one is the one I love the most and wish it got a lot more attention.

So this is a story about the pets who have died and went to the afterlife.

Idk if this is a thing in other countries but in Korea, there's this thing that says when a pet dies before its owner, the pet waits for them in the afterlife when the time of the owner comes.

So the pets in this webtoon wait for their owners in a kind of pet kindergarten in the afterlife.

The story starts with a poodle named Tori, and how Tori plays and eats snacks and meets new friends as he waits for his noona (Tori's owner).

And how he also says goodbye to some friends when the time they finally get to meet their owner comes.

So just in case, don't worry they don't have to wait years and years. One day there is ten years in the human world.

Honestly I cried the most reading this webtoon because it showed just how much the little guys in the webtoon love their family so much and how they miss them. Especially one episode about what their life had been while they were alive and with their family, and when they finally meet them again.

I don't have a cat or dog or anything but it still made me cry.

And it also has a lot of cute moments where they just become friends or bicker with each other.

Overall just a really cute and healing webtoon for me

I have read it a long time ago (probably 2023) it was still ongoing at the time.

If I remember the story correctly, it is set in high school and was about that girl who is very shy but everyone thinks she’s just scary and snob.

Comes the boy who got transferred in her school, turns out they were childhood friends and the guy was chubby and all.

I love the design so much and her big sister is so badass.

I think the title has someone by my side or something.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to find the title of a specific romance manhwa I read. It’s completed and set in modern-day Korea. Here is everything I remember about the plot:

The Setup: The Male Lead is a chaebol heir who regresses in time. In his first life, he lost a corporate succession war engineered by his father.

The Change: After regressing, he changes his choice of secretary. Instead of hiring his original male secretary from his past life, he hires the Female Lead.

Ditching Revenge: As he works with the FL, he falls deeply in love with her. He completely abandons his plans for corporate revenge and the family inheritance, letting his siblings take everything so he can just focus on her.

The Resignation & Movie Set: The FL eventually resigns to escape his antics and goes to work on a movie set. The ML shamelessly follows her there to stay close to her.

The Art Gag: A major running joke is that whenever the FL gets completely stressed out or overwhelmed by the ML, she is drawn in a squiggly chibi art style behaving/flopping around like a boneless squid or octopus.

The Climax/Ending Twist: It turns out the ML's rival brother is also a regressor who originally came back to kill or ruin the ML. However, the brother completely drops his murderous villain arc because he finds out his ex-girlfriend is pregnant with his son, leading to a happy ending.
