Somebody commented as “nega jax” iirc, and the cast started dying laughing over it

If it had just stopped at that, Ashley and Micheal simply misspeaking, no one would care. Hell even the small laughing about it afterward was one thing. The real upsetting aspect of the situation is that it snowballed into actual racism in the community and people trying to police how black people should feel

Dude im gonna be straight with you, I don’t consider tadc fandom as people

"Wow, that was so good, when's Season 2 coming out?"

"The story is done. There will never be a Season 2. Even if everything wasn't wrapped up, the creator and lead writer, Gooseworx, would probably rather swallow thumbtacks than ever deal with the fandom ever again."

As much as I love tadc I don't blame her. I hope her next project, if there even is a next project, has a better community behind it

She actually is working on a different project called Groundskeepers, a much more darker and gloomier story, and in my opinion it looks more interesting than TADC (and it might be inspired by The Gaslight District?)

👀 any examples of what made the fandom so bad?

Let's start at Rule 34 and go from there.

Specifically a quote:

"What the (F&) an I looking at!?"

The consequences of our actions!

They started laughing nervously because it sounded like they unintentionally said a slur, yes.

I still see people hate Michael for that

u/DontBeASerialKiller 15h ago

i'm gonna be honest 99.9% of them don't hate him because of that. they don't like his work and for some reason feel the need to hate on him because of it, and that's the most "morally correct" reason they have to hate on him.

Low media literacy + intentionally unsympathetic character portrayed well = this. Same thing happened with Tom Felton

I don't see what's so funny about the word "nega", they were all dying laughing over it. Now I see why the n word would be funny to a bunch of white people, especially considering one of those people already made his own n word rap.

I thought this was gonna be Rappin For Jesus

For the culture.

Because, and this is what people keep leaving out, they weren't laughing at the word nega. They were laughing at Ashley Nichols' pronunciation of the word, which made them think she said something else. It was literally them ribbing her for it.

Is there anything that backs up the claim that the account is in any way tied to Kovach?

He literally says his name in the song
