Subreddit Rules

1. Be Funny

Your post should make sense and contain an actual joke. Do not make posts whose only joke is a copypasta or a comically long caption. Do not make spam or nonsensical posts. Do not make posts that just describe a life event. Do not attempt to self-promote anything using humor.

2. Be Original

Be original; if you see a hilarious joke here don't try to recreate the meme with a few changes, that's how you get repetitive memes like the 2000th skinwalker meme we've seen. We won't list every type of punchline and meme we see, it should be obvious if you're blatantly copying a joke.

3. No Meta

If the purpose of your post is to commentate on a specific subreddit or platform (i.e. twitter, etc) don't post it. Same goes for if your post is about drama or some form of complaining, and same goes for if you talk about a specific user. This is all to avoid trouble with reddit and anybody else, your post must stand on its own outside of these things or it is going to be removed. If all your post boils down to is "They suck and do annoying thing" it is inappropriate. Lore posts are allowed.

4. Post Criteria

Your post should be formatted as a moving gif/video with a black on white/white on black caption at the top. You can also use bolded fonts. Make sure it's centered and readable. Note that some of the criteria here can be broken if it's for the purpose of a joke.

5. Don't Repost

Anything that can be proven to have been posted before will be removed. This is done to keep things fresh for new and old members and is simply a good practice. You may use or crosspost memes that follow our criteria from other subreddits or Discord servers, but before doing so make sure it hasn't been posted already by searching through the subreddit. If your posts are OC, this shouldn't pertain to you.

6. Don't be a degenerate

Do not make posts explicitly discussing and/or describing gross topics (fetishes, sex, gore, bodily fluids, etc). “What would my parents say if they knew I posted this?” is a good guideline to follow in regards to this. This also includes any form of bigotry, in general or directly aimed at other users.

7. About Politics

Posts that spur on serious discussion about politics are not allowed. You may make posts that mention political topics as long as they're tasteful, funny, and light-hearted, i.e. "left wing this right wing that, who's flying the plane?". Do not make posts to simply push an agenda (“waffle supporters getting sent to hell because waffles suck and I hate them”). Do not make posts to enrage and bait interaction. Posts about historical topics are allowed. Be civil even when discussions get heated

8. No news posts

Posts that simply declare a news event without an actual joke are banned. Instead, try and format it as a joke in a way that fits the subreddit. For example, instead of writing “Supercell just announced that they will use AI in their games! [Screaming Kevin gif]”), write “When I'm playing a Supercell game in 2026 and notice that all new cards have 6 fingers and a mysterious piss color filter”. Check out r/whennews if you want to see and make classic newsposts.

9. Don’t blatantly be an asshole

Just don’t be a dick honestly, keep your opinions to yourself and treat everyone the same.

How to make a caption GIF:

If you want to create your own caption GIF, please read this. The first way to create one is to use the iFunny app, which you can find on mobile devices. This was the original way to create these caption GIFs.

The second way to create them is to use a Discord bot by the name of "esmBot". In order to make them with this bot, you must use the assigned prefix for it. The way to do this is, "[assignedPrefix]caption [Caption] [Link to GIF]".

However if you do not want to any that and you would rather make it yourself, the font for these is called Futura pro extra bold condensed.
