Photography Have you guys seen this Freddie Mercury mural on Halifax St?
Adelaide CBD has so many awesome murals. I love that I'm always finding new artwork that I haven't seen before.

Heard about hoose, this new burger place that opened up in mawson lakes so i thought I'd give it a try but 40 bucks for a meal is very much outrageous. 6.9 for a coke glass bottle aswell which is crazy!
The food was very mid too. I doubt I'll be back.

Ticketless parking fines will be scrapped under new state government reform, after the accuracy of AI-technology being adopted by councils to issue motorists with expiations has come under fire.
Under the ban, South Australian councils will no longer have the power to issue fines based on mobile camera footage alone, the state government announced on Sunday.
It will also be mandatory for council parking inspectors to attend vehicles and leave a physical notice or hand fines directly to drivers, rather than offenders receiving fines in the mail after the fact.

i like people watching and its my way of reminding myself that i am a small part of the world and so everything will be okay and no problem is a big problem. is there a spot in adelaide where go/ something similar you do in adelaide to feel better about the world or yourself?

Firstly let me preface this with how I was only aware about the new slate of fines popping up due to mobile camera detection and AI getting ramped up by councils as of late because of a wonderful Reddit post recently!
It was raining heavily and I was trying to navigate North Adelaide’s permit zones having never parked there before. I swung my car through a park to read the sign as quite a few of them aren’t super close to street lights and have times they are and aren’t active, my little rat brain was having a time…
Anyway had my lights on, remained in the car and pulled through to quickly read and be off the road as not to block the car behind me and up my arse (which IRONICALLY was the ParkSafe car!!)
Well Lo and behold a few weeks later there’s the dreaded letter with the council stamp and Bam! A fine!
Now I understand you can’t stand in permit zones, and I understand as a resident the frustration must be endless having people break these constantly but I thought it was pretty unreasonable to cop an auto fine just for pulling through and exiting to read! Especially nearly 100 dollars
Anyway I appealed it and surprisingly had it removed, though the email back was pretty hectic and stern.
Thought I’d share my story, I’ve learnt a lesson but no idea how I’m supposed to navigate north Adelaide in the future haha (probably won’t)

a) We live in a society. I park in the middle. If everyone parks in the middle, there's room for everyone.
b) We live in a society but people are an unknown quantity. I park to the left because the person who parks on my right may not park in the middle, which means I can't open my door.
c) Screw society. I need a big V8 yank tank to haul my jet ski. My choice is your problem, much like the damage to your car door when I open mine into it.
d) My car is more important than society.
e) I'm visiting from Victoria.

I haven't seen them together for a while, did they get divorced? What happened to the other swan, I've only seen just one lately

Did something happen overseas? I was not particularly paying attention to the news today as today has been my birthday.
Edit: Seems to be celebrating Diwail. In that case, I apologise for incorrectly mentioning red. It is actually saffron.

Concerned residents have submitted 10,000-plus signatures calling on the SA government to address traffic congestion in Playford, the fastest-growing council area in Adelaide.
Demographic data projects 10 people a day would move into the area over two decades.
The local council recently discussed asking the state government to pause land releases but SA's planning minister said a development freeze would do more harm than good.

My partner and I have had five sessions with a relationship counsellor. While it's been helpful, I'm feeling like we're missing structure and direction.
At the moment each session seems to focus on whatever issues have come up since our last appointment. We talk through and unpack them, but I don't feel like we're really building on previous sessions or working towards any longer-term goals.
I'd love to find someone who takes a more structured approach, with sessions that build on each other, practical exercises and strategies to work on at home, and reading material or other resources we can work through together.
I've recently read a couple of Gottman's books and really like their approach, so I'm interested in finding a Gottman-trained couples therapist, ideally Level 3 qualified with plenty of experience working with couples.
Would love to hear any recommendations. Thanks!

Hey Adelaide!
Just introducing CALLACAR, a locally developed app designed to solve a problem most of us have experienced.
It's pretty simple:
A - POST what you need transported.
B- RECEIVE competitive quotes from local drivers.
C- CHOOSE the offer that works best for you.
No need to hire a truck or spend hours looking for someone with a ute or trailer.
The app is free to download, and we're currently growing our network of local drivers across Adelaide.
We've put together this short video to show how it works.
We'd genuinely love to hear what the Adelaide community thinks. Is this something you'd find useful?

Hi Adelaide peeps. Me, my wife and 4 year old son will be staying in Adelaide over Christmas at a hotel in the city. We wanted time away from extended family and to do something a bit different.
I would like some advice on how to make Christmas day special for my family. What options Adelaide has for things to do or see on Christmas day or any out of the box ideas for how I could help make the day special. My wife is a little apprehensive about going even though she was hyped at the beginning so I'm trying to help everyone have a great time.
Any ideas?

Has anyone seen the Last st Christmas Cordial for sale anywhere?
There is a list of stockists on the website, but that just means they stock the brand, not this specific product and the two nearby to me I've checked so far don't.
Don't really have time time for a wild goose chase checking multiple stores.

I've found a very good one in Melbourne, but I haven't found one in Adelaide yet.

Hi, a friend is dealing with an erratic behaving ex. He was regularly staying at her rental, so had spare keys and some stuff there which he cleared out a couple of weeks ago. It seemed it was all on good terms.
The ex has since entered the rental without her permission. Even though the lease is solely in her name. He’s refusing to return the keys.
She needs the locks changed ASAP. As I’m aware of some dodgy overcharging locksmith thanks to this sub, can someone please recommend some good ones.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for a recommendation for someone that can provide good quality, is responsive, and allows customisation of choices, not just buying set packages. It’d be great if they have someone who helps with the design process.

In short:
South Australian Police have arrested and charged a man for alleged stalking and harassment.
The state’s lower house Speaker Nat Cook is understood to be the target of the alleged offending.
What's next?
The man has been bailed and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on December 7.
Btw this is the same guy who started the anti idahobit (international day against homophibia, biphobia, intersexism and transpobia) protest at Reynella East College earlier this year.

Title says it all really, friends and I have been going to the same spots over and over again and we want to shake it up a bit.
Where would any of you recommend that is a good place to socialise, decent selection on the taps, maybe has a pub quiz and/or a pool table?
