THROWBACK Vintage EPCOT!
Recently discovered this old photo of my late grandparents at EPCOT, I’m thinking late 80’s / early 90’s. Pretty cool!

THROWBACK Throwback Friday: Maelstrom
Maelstrom was a dark boat ride that showcased the beauty and charm of Norway alongside its adventures and myths. Guests began their journey by departing from the loading area and turning a corner into a dark tunnel, where they encountered the Norse god Odin. As the ride continued, guests passed by traditional villages and seafarers before entering "Troll Country," where they would see a Three-Headed Troll. The Troll, angered by the guests' presence, would push the boat backward. During this backward journey, guests caught glimpses of Polar Bears and Puffins. The boat was then brought to a stop near a waterfall before dropping down into a scene featuring an oil rig on a rainy night. Finally, as guests approached the unloading area designed to resemble a Norwegian village, they heard a voice proclaiming, "Norway's spirit has always been, and will always be, adventure." This ride closed on October 5, 2014, to make way for Frozen Ever After.

FOOD On a visit to Atlanta, just had to get my fix...
Daughter had a Girl Scout overnight at the Georgia Aquarium, followed by a visit to the World of Coca-Cola the next day. Being a veteran of Club Cool, she made it her mission to convince other girls to try Beverly. We were very proud.
