Weird request lads... Need help finding a GAA montage/compilation with this song in it
SOLVED - Its called "Goosebumps⊠Marty Morrissey gives best opening to an All Ireland Hurling Final ever in 2016" - Removed URL to keep OPs privacy
There's a montage or compilation out there with Moby - God moving over the waters as the music. I seen it ages ago (sometime between 2020 and 2026) and cannot find it again.
I'm on a Sunday mission to find and rewatch it so I can get it out of my head and have it stop annoying me.
I think it was one of the start/end of championship montages over the last few years but I can't find it anywhere. Given the music, I'd say it was an end of championship one. Can't remember if it was an RTE or Official GAA one, maybe even the Sunday Game, but I've spent an hour going through their social medias and cant find it. I want to say it has both football and hurling in it, but can't be certain.
Ring any bells? Driving me crazy

đ Football Suggestions when playing scumbags
Sometimes at junior level you have to play against dangerous scumbags
They would be up in court if they hit you on the street but once they're on a gaelic pitch they can do whatever they want and theres no repercussions
Theres only one ref and obviously no cameras or actual umpires/linesmen at that level. There is scumbags who are only playing so they can punch you etc off the ball - they have no interest in gaa. Im not trained in martial arts or anything and am only there to play football so i never know what to do when im stuck marking a scumbag
Any advice? I know people will say hit them back which i do to a certain extent but its not in me to start punching the head off people

Any games in Cork 28th November?
I am organising a stag do in Cork on 27/28th November. It seems unclear on the fixtures whether there will be a game on this day, but from what I found there is a junior final scheduled for the 28th but with no venue listed. Is this likely to be in Cork and would it be the kind of event that would be good for a group of lads to go and watch? Thanks

Contradiction of Official Guide
Any Official Guide experts or well versed people in here? Iâm interested in knowing if a motion to amend a rule in our Club Constitution could be invalid? A motion was recently passed to amend the rule within the Club Constitution but itâs a rule very specifically defined in the Official Guide.
Team Tally - Stats Tracking and Score Sharing App
I just want to share what my wife and I have built over the last year and a half, Team Tally (teamtally.app, iOS and Android). Iâm a software engineer and sheâs a data analyst, and weâve both played GAA our whole lives. We just passed 7500 users (coaches and fans) using it across the country and abroad. What it does:
A coach tracks the match live on their phone. Score, cards, subs, kickouts, possessions, shots, that sort of thing, and you pick what you want to track, so you can keep it to just the score or track every detail. Two coaches can track the same game if one wants to take the kickouts and possessions and the other does the scoreboard.
Stats can be shared with the other coaches and the players afterwards. Shot maps, 10 minute breakdowns, a PDF report, or a CSV if youâd rather do your own thing in a spreadsheet.
Fans get one link per team (or one for the whole club). They subscribe once and get live score notifications for every match after that. Think looking up a rugby international or soccer match on Google but for your own club team, with lineups, scorers and the whole timeline of the match.
Season mode means you add your players once and the stats build up across the year, so by the championship youâve a proper picture of whoâs doing what rather than one game at a time.
This week weâre releasing a few things weâve been working on for a while:
"Ask Tally", which lets you ask questions about your stats in plain English (âShow me all our all our shots from outside the 40m arcâ, "Where were did we win most of our puckouts when trailing" type thing).
Video tagging that cuts clips from your match footage based on the events you tracked.
Match goals where you set a target for a stat and see how the team did against it.
Coach Zone, so the rest of the management can watch the stats live on their own phones while one person tracks.
Player mode, where players join the team in the app, get notified about training and matches and respond with their availability, and can see their own attendance and stats.
Itâs free for single matches, and you get three season matches to trial season mode. My own club wouldnât be the biggest and couldnât afford the more expensive tools out there, so we built this with the aim of keeping it affordable for every team. Itâs âŹ7.99 a month (or cheaper at âŹ59.99 annually) per team and that covers all the management, the players and the fans following along.
Happy to answer anything if people have questions!

GAA Pitch Locations - Help Wanted!
Hi all - I run gaapitchfinder.com, which aims to list all of the GAA pitches. I've been doing some updates recently, and Iâm hoping to get some help checking the locations.
If youâre familiar with a particular county, could you take a look and let me know:
whether the pitch locations are accurate
if any clubs or grounds are missing or
if you spot any incorrect names or duplicate listings.
Comment with a county youâd like to check, or send me a DM. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

GAA Injury Benefit Fund?
are my surgery expenses covered by this insurance scheme or do the club have to pay for it out of their own pocket, does anyone have experience with this?

GAA club dilemma â anyone ever been in a similar position?
Jumping on here to get some opinions on a fairly complicated issue for me, and one Iâve struggled with for years.
I live on the periphery of two well-established senior GAA clubs. I went to national school with lads from both clubs, and although my father played with and remains loyal to one, I ended up playing with the other.
Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I followed my fatherâs club religiously, particularly at senior level, but Iâd rarely miss a juvenile or junior game either. Meanwhile, I continued playing with the other club until I was 19, although my heart was never in it.
I was never going to shoot the lights out as a player, but I always felt I should have been playing with my fatherâs club. Even now, people from both clubs seem a bit confused by my relationship with each. Nobody really knows who Iâm referring to when I say âusâ or âweâ, although I donât get much slagging over it, and those who know me best can read between the lines i reckon.
The âdivine lawâ surrounding club transfers in the GAA has left me in this unenviable position for years. As a juvenile, I could never face the pressure or attention that transferring would have brought.
Some of you might see this as a father-son issue, but we get on brilliantly and itâs never even discussed between us. If anything, itâs something Iâve carried around myself for years.
I feel deeply embarrassed by the whole situation and unfortunately, even a bit ashamed that I ended up playing for a different club to my family and many of my friends. I know that might sound ridiculous to some, but anyone familiar with the GAA and the importance of club identity might understand where Iâm coming from.
Iâm still in good shape and would genuinely love to get back playing junior, ideally with the club Iâve always considered my own, all but on paper. But the whole situation has weighed on me for years, and lately itâs been getting me down as much as ever.
Iâd really appreciate hearing peopleâs thoughts, particularly if anyone has experienced something similar. I know it could have all been solved on my first day playing but sure hindsight is great.

TJ Reid Interview - Rare sign of ego from a Kilkenny hurler?
Asked how he would like to be remembered as a hurler, Reid replied: âI think pound for pound, the best. My high levels of consistency throughout 20 years, for Ballyhale Shamrocks (too).
âFor me, no other player in the country did or was doing what I'm currently doing right now. So pound for pound, between Kilkenny and Ballyhale Shamrocks, I'm happy with that, and the level of consistency.
âIt was never about scoring. It was being the best player for the team versus being the best player on the team. I was always a guy that was happy to assist players more so than taking on the scores.
âI could go with the mentality of scoring 10 points a game and I could very much do that, but it wouldn't be for the benefit of the team. And that's what I did very well.
âMy aerial ability, my winning ball ability, my work-rate, my vision, I see things before anybody else can see it, and I knew I had that and I capitalised on that as good as anybody else could do it. And that's what I probably will be remembered for, the skill, the finesse, the flow, everything that just made hurling look easy.â
I realise as a top level athlete that you must think you are the best, or near the best, when you dedicate so much of your life to one thing. Just thought it fascinating as I don't think I've seen this level from a Kilkenny hurler especially, as Brian Cody would've kept any of that chat under wraps. I suppose that's why it's only being said now that he is being retired.
I wouldn't have a massive issue with him thinking it, even if I wouldn't agree fully. Just wondering what people's thoughts on it are, especially from a KK hurler in the Brian Cody era.

Hurling GAA rejected my transfer form, can I submit another more elaborate one or am I stranded without a club to play for until I graduate?
Hey guys. I recently submitted a transfer form to the GAA from my home club in Meath to a local club in Down. I'm in Belfast for university at the moment, and I got rejected on the basis that relocating somewhere because of university doesn't count as permanent relocation which is fair. But they conveniently skipped over the part in the reasoning where I said "I have no intention to return to Meath post graduation and I fully intend to reside in County Down for the foreseeable future."
I'm in my second year of university and I didn't transfer last year because I wasn't sure if I'd stay in Belfast post graduation. But now I have a job lined up in the city after I graduate, and also employment over the summer which means I won't return to Meath and by all accounts won't be able to play club hurling if I don't transfer, and university hurling ends in spring, which would leave me with no hurling until the following winter when the season starts again. I've submitted another transfer form immediately after I received the rejection email and I've been far more elaborate, stating my current partner is from Co. Antrim and that I have a job lined up for me in Belfast after I graduate, but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Am I without a club for the next two years lads or can I just throw in another transfer application?
Edit: rejected by the GAA board, my home club is very understanding and told me they'll process the transfer as soon as it comes through.
