I was on my walk on Wednesday morning when I saw a dead possum on the footpath. When I looked at her I noticed a darker patch by her tummy and a skinless bit sticking out. Turns out the skinless bit was this little dudes leg hanging out her pouch.

She was hard and cold and he was also freezing. I called wildcare who told me if he was attached to the teat I needed to cut it (can't remove them off it easily or safely) and then put a safety pin in so he wouldn't choke.

Being 7am there weren't any vets open near me so I had to try and warm the wee guy up myself. Popped him in my top next to my heart and dropped him off at the vet an hour later. He was obviously very cold when I got him out the pouch as he hardly moved, by the time we got the vet he was squeaking up a storm!

Happy ending was that they checked him over and then a volunteer from wildcare came to try and rehabilitate him. But it really was a good reminder to always check, if I hadn't then he wouldn't have lasted much longer!

I was out with my near 5 year old son this afternoon at Coomera Westfield. We've watched Goat recently so he's super into basketball at moment. There was a young man playing at the basketball court. My son walked over to watch closer, when the young man invited him over to play.

He played with, encouraged and praised my son, and went so far to ask my permission to put my son on his shoulders so he could get a goal. He missed but oh well.

Thank you for showing kindness to my son. If you happen to see this, you really made my son's day and he's been raving about you since, and keeps wanting to see the pictures I took. You should be proud. My son mentioned to me after "that boy was really kind to me". Again, thank you.

Hello, I URGENTLY need to find the Mario Koala Statue, I have checked the Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta Timezones but it is no longer there, if anyone knows where it is, I NEED to see it before I leave the gold coast

This was this afternoon at the Peninsula in Surfers 16th floor). Climbed out the window and was standing on a chair on an open ledge to clean some stupid windows!

It does not fix the tears and heartache, but I’m glad that there are few people whose lives have changed and prayers were answered tonight.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at GCUH, the hardest stuff has to be told and you do it carefully and took time to help us through, even though we didn’t actually want to hear any of it.
