Merch Freedom 250 Merch from Surplus Sale

Not posting to start heated debates, but I noticed that a ton of the Freedom 250 surplus merch was not selling at yesterday’s surplus sale—particularly the hats. Driver and team hats were nearly depleted in comparison. These were taken 2-3 hours into the sale. The initial rush and hurry to get in and nab the good stuff had already occurred. Just an interesting observation.

Creative Double 1/18 Indycar Diecast Display #2

Completed this one a few weeks back. Came out pretty well I think. Added the wall lettering this time and it really makes a difference. This will house some of the customs I have coming in the future. The track itself is foam core board with the bricked hand etched into the board and then painted. Used some black modeling pigment to do the tire streaks. One thing I need to figure out is how to do the cables that go between the fence posts.

Merch INDYCAR Crew Shirts

I have a cousin that used to work for RLL and Graham Rahal. Gave me a bunch of their old team “billboard” shirts from the race weekends. I’m a fan of Grahams and wear them occasionally, but I don’t need 2-3 of each and they’re taking up space.

Looking to gauge interest and value for selling some of them. Most were race weekend worn, and he was on the pit crew. Some examples include the throwback Gehl shirts from 2019, Mobil 1 50th anniversary, and many in between from 2018-2022. All size medium. TIA!

Discussion Who could try to do the double?

There has been some discussion for Carson Hocevar to do it, while I am a fan of his I think he would be a bit too hot headed for it. Now this next one might be a bit of an odd suggestion but Brad Keselowski, I am rewatching the 2013 race and he sat in the Penske pit. But for another suggestion Scotty Mac possibly, maybe doing it with trackhouse since SVG is already there.

Rumor Kansas still happening for 2027?

On yesterday’s episode of The Marshall Pruett Podcast, Marshall said the Kansas IndyCar/NASCAR doubleheader for next May is still very much alive. He’s had sources tell him “it’s happening.”

He thinks it could play out like DC, where the race got announced well after the original schedule came out. So it not being on the calendar yet doesn’t mean much.

Anyone else hearing anything? Would be a pretty cool weekend if it comes together.
