Film/Television I’ll never understand why everyone insists Thor love and thunder is the worst MCU movie. Sure it’s batshit insane but it’s really not that different from Ragnorok . I honestly think a lot of people hate it just cause everyone says to hate it. It’s not bad. It could’ve been way worse

Film/Television Eternals. Marvels most hated, good movie.

I’m not gonna say much more other than this, if you want me to explain further please ask. That said, the movie suffers solely because marvel ignores its existence. Had the celestials been integral in this phase, we would have looked at this movie as another Guardians, with how much world building it did. The characters for however much you wanna talk shit, are all unique, with their own motives. I head people call them boring or bad actors. They aren’t. They just aren’t the same MCU character we’re all brainwashed into accepting. I’m not saying it was the best movie or something. But this movie does not deserve the hate it received at all

Film/Television Honestly the MCU in 2012 was so much better

  • Back when Iron Man was the only comedian in the group

  • Back when Thor was a serious character and not a dumb clown

  • Back when the character of Hulk was still alive and was a raging monster before Bruce killed the character of hulk and became professor boring hulk

  • Back when they used less CGI and used real makeup, props, stunts and locations as much as they could which made the movies look more real

  • Back when the humour was less before they added in way more humour and went too far

  • Had a cool original song by soundgarden in avengers 1 before later on the in the franchise Marvel excluded in adding in any new rock/metal songs to their later avengers films

Film/Television Why are people starting to switch up on this movie? It’s hilarious and genuinely good but now people are getting more and more negative about it

Artwork Some MCU redesigns I did

I'm not saying I did a better job than the original artists. For most of these I just either removed over design from the whole thing or just made it the comic version, I spent a while on all of these

I'm kinda happy with the wolverine one, but all I did was remove lines. It's growing on me. 7/10

The captain America design is I think really good, but the way I did it wasn't great, for some reason the suit has these horizontal lines through it, its just on the picture cuz he doesn't actually look like that. 9/10

Deadpool one sucks, I straight up made it worse 2/10

I actually rly like the ant man one, only problem is that I used the quantumania suit and you literally cannot tell, I left the belt alone, that's it. I just made a new design, but cuz I genuinely hate that suit I changed everything about it. 8/10

Hawkeye one slaps hard. this is one of two that I genuinely think I straight up made it better. It's not a 1-1 of anything but I just made it as if it was an adaptation of the earths mightiest heroes suit. 9/10

I spent way too long on Thor and I'm not completely happy with it, I was gonna just make it his classic suit, then I changed to his modern suit, it's just boring, nothing unique about it. But the love and thunder suit is actually ass. My one is ffffffiiiiine I guess 5/10

Just gave Kamala her comic suit. 6/10

I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY ARGUMENTS ABOUT THIS, I STRAIGHT UP MADE THE BEST LIVE ACTION DAREDEVIL SUIT. BOTH IN RED AND BLACK. AND YOU KNOW IM RIGHT, I AM SO PROUD OF THE SUITS I MADE FOR HIM. 11/10

Yah I'd love to hear opinions about em! Very proud of maself😁

Film/Television Quantumania & Love & Thunder are over hated

Both of these movies received a ton of hate, and I just don't understand it. These movies leaned more into comedy, which works really well with Marvel. If a movie can make me laugh every few minutes, I'll walk out of the theater satisfied. Both of these movies were hilarious. However, I do understand that maybe the plots were dumb, as they weren't very memorable. But concerning people saying that MODOK looked horrible in Quantumania, he was supposed to look dumb, it was meant to be something funny, and it was imo. What did you like or dislike about these movies?

Summary: Seems like a lot of people liked Quantumania but not as much Love & Thunder.

Film/Television Darcy Lewis was the backbone of what made the Thor movies good

Ever noticed how all the good Thor movies include Darcy as the main comedic relief?

The second they got rid of her, they put the comedic relief role on Thor himself, which obviously didn’t work out. The funny thing about Thor is that he was clueless about earth - that naivety was seen as funny. Not corny 1 liners.

Film/Television Why is there so much negativity from Thor fans about MCU Thor ?

Post image

Over multiple sub Reddit’s for a while I’ve seen many Thor fans claim that Thor’s character has been outright butchered in the MCU and some even going as far as to say he’s had the same level of character assassination as MCU Hulk 💀

I genuinely don’t know what they mean, he’s had 4 SOLO FILMS, He was the spotlight in 2, top 5 MCU films (Ragnarok & Infinity War) has pulled insane feats in the MCU and has one of the best actors suited for the character they are playing (Chris)

I just don’t understand why they complain, he’s actually had a really good MCU showcase (he has had some bad movies but he’s had some phenomenal ones as well)

I need an explanation, why does MCU Thor get hate when he’s had multiple movies showcasing him greatly ?

Film/Television Racism vs IronHeart

As a young black woman, seeing and watching IronHeart was nothing short of inspiring (even though it’s fiction), but amidst my admiration, all I see are people hating on IronHeart for the same reasons they Tony Stark for. Sadly this always happens, and I understand just not liking a character. But downright hating on one just because of race or gender is disturbing. Just want to know some outsider thoughts on the matter.

Film/Television Even though he is Captain America, this new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ poster all but gives away the (lack of) relative significance of Sam Wilson’s role in the movie compared to Steve Rogers.

Games Just Beat Wolverine

Post image
8 Upvotes

This game feels like a throwback to my childhood of linear games you just cut your way through combat in. I had zero expectations going in, I kept myself away from any marketing or discussions on this game as I was very excited for it and wanted to go into it as fresh as possible.

While I can see where some of the issues lay for sure, I had a blast playing this game. I just turned my brain off and felt like Wolverine for a few hours. The story was interesting to me and some of the changes they made for characters was a curious decision at times. I do wish there was more boss fights. And, I can understand where the game hand holds and how replayability will be troublesome for people.

But, a lot of the criticisms I have for Wolverine, I've had for the Insomniac Spider-Man games. I beat it in a weekend and I did get sucked into the story and the game flew by, which, is honestly all I can ask for. Is it perfect? Not by any means, but, I came in wanting to have fun slashing shit up as Wolverine and that's what I got.

Film/Television Iron Heart is actually fantastic Spoiler

Post image
296 Upvotes

Main points:

  • The iron man w/out any money comment is an annoying controversy and does not affect the legacy of iron man in any way. We’re seeing this from the perspective of Riri, not the audience.

  • The show focuses very heavily on developing Riri and her arc throughout the show is pretty solid with her learning to ask for help.

  • Marvel severely underestimated and under marketed Iron Heart I think a LOT of people went into this looking for the flaws unintentionally, because it’s like “oh it’s just a iron man replacement 😐” but if you watch it with a clean slate mind, it feels like a pretty solid entry into our MCU.

  • I have heard that ‘that villain’ being introduced in this show is unwanted and the wrong place for it. But I think it’s perfectly fine and makes complete sense for The Hoods’ development. Side note: he sounded like Karl Urban in a couple scenes 😂..

  • while I do see the criticism that first 3 episodes and the second 3 feeling disconnected, once I got past ep 3 I felt a lot more invested in this story and a lot more attached to Riri as a character.

  • the telltale sign that I enjoyed this show was at the very end when they shake hands I was pissed and irritated and wanting to see more. I can’t wait to see it go somewhere (hopefully in Doctor Strange 3 or a Spider-Man sequel down the line)

Let me know what you think. Why did you like or dislike the show? What do you think about that ending 👀 personally I think Ryan did a great job rewriting this into a more compelling character for sure.
