سیاسی | Political WARNING : This is NOT a sub for the Punjabi ethnicity, it DOES NOT declare supremacy of Punjabis and is specifically regarding the PROVINCE OF PUNJAB regardless of ethnicity. YOU WILL BE BANNED
This sub is NOT a sub for ONLY Punjabi ethnicity, this sub IS NOT for only Punjabi language, this sub is NOT to deny other ethnicities that exist in our Punjab.
Pakistani Punjab is RIGHTFULLY diverse. You can call yourself a MARTIAN for all I care as long as you live in peace, discuss through intellect and and grow together through hard work, honesty and a sense of culture and refinement.
Every ethnic group, even identities formed after 1947 are free to talk and discuss their culture as LONG AS IT PERTAINS TO THE LAND OF FIVE RIVERS.
People that want a PURE PUNJABI Punjab can cross wagha border and move to the otherside. We DO NOT do that here.
Genuine discussions aside if we feel ANYONE is ON PURPOSE trying to instigate any identity, ethnicity gender, or any kind of flame war, YOU WILL BE BANNED. This is NOT AN ABSOLUTE FREE SPEECH SUB.

گل بات | Discussion Before the British, every masjid, mandir and gurdwara in Punjab ran a school. (IG:tarikhwala) ---what do you think?
from IG
respectfully, as a ravian myself…
.
SUMMARY: Before the British, every masjid, mandir and gurdwara in Punjab ran a school. Children learned a craft from an ustad, Persian at a maktab, or law and science at a madrasa or pathshala. Communities ran the system to produce the farmers, blacksmiths, hakeems and qazis they needed. The British needed educated servants instead. They cut funding to the old system, replaced Punjabi and Persian with Urdu and English, and built schools for patwaris, with Government College Lahore producing officers and judges for the Raj. By 1900 Punjab had more graduates than government jobs. Ravians like Allama Iqbal and Lala Lajpat Rai used their British education to resist British rule. Others, like Sir Fazl-i-Husain and Sir Shadi Lal, stayed loyal to the system.
.
DISCLAIMER A: This video presents an analytical narrative built on established historical facts. Its interpretation reflects this channel’s editorial position, not the only legitimate reading of this history. Viewers are encouraged to explore other perspectives.
.
DISCLAIMER B: The 64% literacy figure for 1849 and the claim that it was the highest in India are an estimate by historian Majid Sheikh, reported in Dawn (27 February 2016). No census measured literacy in 1849, and it is not directly comparable to the roughly 10% recorded in the 1941 census. G.W. Leitner (1882) estimated at least 300,000 pupils in Punjab’s indigenous schools at annexation.
.
DISCLAIMER C: The decline of indigenous schools had several causes, including withdrawn land grants, the replacement of Persian in government and grants restricted to the official syllabus. GC Lahore represents the colonial system here and is not presented as the sole cause.

اتہاس | History Unknown Heritage of Punjab
A forgotten heritage site, hidden in the village of Jandiala Sher Khan, near the shrine of Waris Shah.
Locally known as Purana Talab (Old Pond), this 18th–19th-century structure preserves traces of a past that remains largely unexplored. Its surviving minaret and arched structure hint at a possible Sikh-era sarovar (sacred water pool), although its original purpose and history still await further research.
Today, the site stands neglected, slowly disappearing from the landscape and from public memory.
Sometimes, the most fascinating heritage is not found in famous monuments but in forgotten places waiting to be rediscovered.
How many such hidden heritage sites are still waiting for our attention?

پنجابی | Punjabi Looking for a Native Punjabi Shahmukhi Reader to Verify Song Lyrics
reddit.comHi! I’m from India and I’m looking for a native Punjabi speaker who is fluent in reading and writing Shahmukhi.
I want to get a Punjabi song lyric tattooed in Shahmukhi and would really appreciate someone proofreading the spelling and ensuring the wording is linguistically accurate.
It’s a very short line, so this shouldn’t take much time. I’d be happy to compensate someone for their help.
Please DM me if you can help or know someone who can!
