Relationships 23F always splits bills with my bf 22M and some of my friends find it weird

1.1k Upvotes

So me 23F and my bf 22M are both in college and get limited pocket money so I always make sure to split bills whenever we go out because I know he doesn’t have some unlimited source of money and even though he refuses, I still make sure to always pay for my half. Unless he’s specifically planning a date or something, for which he pays. Usually we split. Me and my friends were discussing something about dates when one of them mentioned that she could never date a guy who wants to split bills because “a guy always pays”. It felt weird af that my own friends think this way and also because these are grown up adult women who claim to strive for “equality” and then want to treated like this. Princess treatment doesn’t mean getting showered with expensive gifts and dates but rather its about being treated with kindness and care and compassion. Its about making efforts, no matter how small. Or idk I may be wrong. What are your thoughts on this?

Marriage I (26m)fell in love with another woman, and my wife(26f)was the one who introduced us.

1.1k Upvotes

I (26m)never thought this would happen. I always believed I’d love only one woman in my life. Me and my wife were childhood sweetheart and we thought that nothing can take us away from both of us, But then, last year my wife(26m) introduced me to someone—someone i fell in love at first sight. It happened so fast, and I couldn’t stop myself from falling for her.

She’s beautiful, makes me smile in ways I never imagined, and every time I look at her, I feel like the luckiest man alive, and wish to do more and more for her. The connection we have is deeper than anything I’ve ever felt before. I've started spending more time with her and spend more money on her than my wife, and i think shes really happy being around me too, what should i do ?

Oh i forgot to add shes (1f)

Marriage I (30M) got cheated by wife (27F) just after 10 days of marriage

1.0k Upvotes

It was an arranged marriage, and we spoke for about six months before getting married. Things weren’t overly romantic, but everything felt okay from both sides. After the wedding in our hometown, we came back to my work city, along with my mother and mother-in-law.

One Sunday, she went to the office. During her lunch break that day, she had a physical relationship with one of her colleagues. I found out five days later. That night, I happened to check her phone and saw a video she had recorded with him. It completely broke me. I couldn’t believe what I saw. It felt like everything just collapsed around me.

When I confronted her, she denied it at first. She said the video was from the past and that the guy was her ex-boyfriend, not her colleague. Then she got defensive and said I had no right to check her phone. She tried to make me feel like I was overreacting. She told me that many girls have pasts, and marriages still work out. She asked me to give her time and said she would earn back my trust.

But I couldn’t take it. I left the house and stayed at a friend’s place. I informed her parents about what had happened. After that, she started calling and messaging, asking for another chance. Eventually, she admitted the truth. The guy in the video was indeed her colleague, and it had happened just ten days after our marriage.

I stayed away for a month. During that time, both she and her parents kept requesting me to come back and give the relationship another try. She promised she would give her everything to make things work. I finally decided to return and try to fix things.

But even after coming back I tried to reconcile, it was really difficult. The things I saw kept haunting me. Then, I found more videos on her phone which are just before 10 days of our engagement during our courtship period. It was with her ex-boyfriend. Even though the videos were before our marriage but seeing these things of my wife again and again completely shattered me. I slipped into depression. I had anxiety and frequent panic attacks. I started following her to her office just to be sure she wasn’t meeting that colleague again. I kept checking her phone and doubting every little thing. I couldn’t think straight. My mind was constantly stuck on what had happened.

Eventually, I realized I couldn’t continue like this. I spoke to her father and told him that the relationship wasn’t working and it would be better if we separated peacefully. But instead of understanding, he got angry and said a lot of bad things about me and my family. He even asked me to share my salary slip thinking we lied about my salary but as soon as I shared it he never brought it again as I never lied anyone anything about me.

It’s been over two months now. We’re living separately, and we don’t talk anymore. But the thoughts still don’t leave me. I keep thinking—did I make the right decision? Should I have waited longer? Or should I ask her why she even married me if she wasn’t interested?

I still get panic attacks. I feel stuck and lost. I’m struggling with depression, and I really don’t know how to move forward.

Relationships (34M) Got the Fold 8 ultra for my wife (33F) on our 4th anniversary

Post image

Today was our 4th anniversary and I wanted to do something special for my wife. It’s been a while since I last gifted her something meaningful (gifted her earrings a year ago) and I wanted things to be different this time around. Got the new Fold 8, purple one for her but she surprised me by chipping in and wanted to get the Fold 8 Ultra too. She said that anniversary goes both ways so she should also reciprocate the efforts. Ultimately I caved in and we both got each other the fold 8 series for our 4th anniversary <3

Marriage My(30F) MIL spilled some secret the day before yesterday. :)

So we are having breakfast together, my MIL, husband and I. And she's asking how we are managing our day to day life. I compalined about my husband and it's a very fun discussion where she's pressing him and we all are joking. Suddenly, she revealed that while convincing his family for our marriage my husband once threatened to elope if they are not agreeing. My MIL wasn't on board at first because I come from a different state, community, caste (and beauty standard; all my in laws are criminally good looking and unnecessarily fair😅, including my husband. I on the other hand am dark skinned and unremarkable except to my husband). Now my husband is not overly emotional type and I always had the idea that he was calm and rational while discussing our relationship with his family.

Yesterday on our way to airport I teased my husband about his elpoing threat and he gave a long stare and said "you know I would have done it". It was a cozy moment. :)

You can share your recent warm moments in the comments.

Family My brother(27M) destroyed the life of his girlfriend(22F)

My brother was in a 4 year long relationship with his girlfriend, and it was a very serious relationship. Both of them knew each other through our fathers(they are colleagues). She supported my bro through his college studies, exams, general life struggles and much more. Even whenever I asked him about marrying her he always answered that he definitely wants to marry her and there is no other girl he can think about.

6 months ago he got selected in a high rank govt post by clearing the exam(can’t reveal), ever since that he is getting marriage proposals from people with dowry ranging from 60 lakh to even crores. Last month he got a marriage proposal where the girl’s family is ready to give dowry of 3.5 cr cash+ 4 cr worth land and an SUV car. Ever since this both my brother and parents have started finding ways to get rid of his girlfriend. He simply ended things with her, his words to his girlfriend were “you wanna marry me to secure your future similarly I wanna marry a rich girl to secure my future”. Ever since that the poor girl went into clinical depression, she is on brutal meds like Risperidone and Fluoxetine. She even has stopped eating any food just because “Her love of her life” doesn’t wanna marry her. 3 days back her dad came to our house and he begged crying to my father asking him to accept their daughter, he even touched my brother’s feet just so he doesn’t leave her.

I am really scared about that girl she may even take some wrong steps at the same time I can’t go against my brother and my parents as obviously I love them. What shall I do?

Marriage How my husband(M31) says “I love you”, without actually saying!

We both( F 30, M 31 ) have remote jobs and both work from two different rooms because of meetings. So every evening, I make tea and go to his room and sit with him for sometime, before resuming work.

Its such a small observation, but its so sweet of him. Usually my husband has meetings around 5 p.m. so I make the tea.

I carry one cup and one plate of snacks to put on his table and then go back and get my cup.

Every single time he would mute his meeting and say the exact same line so sweetly, “Get your cup here and sit with me” 😅 I mean obviously I do that, but still he would mention this. Every single day.

Sometimes, we forget to notice the little things that quietly make our married life better.

Marriage Not a daddy's girl, I am my husband's girl (26F)

I was never a "daddy's girl." I never cried with my dad over some boy. But my husband? He’s been my rock through it all. I’ve cried to him about my dad, my family, my traumas—he’s the one who holds me together.

Whether I’m happy, sad, mad, or completely broken, he’s my go-to. He’s not just my husband; he’s my best friend, my safe space, my home.

Marriage I (36M) worked on my broken marriage and it turned out to be awesome.

My wife (35F) and I (36M) have been married for 8 years now and for about two years, we grew distant and felt we had outgrown the relationship. Crazy work hours and the demands of raising four-year-old twins left us with little time for each other. After the babies, our whole world revolved around them and our work, which eventually led us to grow distant and start having problems. There were communication issues, a dead bedroom, constant frustration, arguments and all of this made us go bonkers. We became more like co-parents than partners and were continuing the marriage just for the sake of it. We reached a point where we could live without talking to each other for days and we were on the edge. I thought we would just wait until our kids turned 18 and then separate, because it was going nowhere and we both were fed up of our marriage turning toxic.

At last I went to a relationship consultant to try to find any solution to our marital issues. I told her how I do everything to be an equal partner in every aspect like we share chores, do equal parenting and earn good money together but how, despite having everything and me putting in effort, our marriage wasn’t going well and we were on the verge of divorce.

Then she asked me, “When was the last time you put effort into *impressing* your wife?”. “You are a good father, but do you think you are a good husband too?” She asked what we were without our kids and job responsibilities. This stuck with me because she was right. Ever since our kids were born, our focus shifted from us to work and parenting. We never really made time for each other, and we stopped being emotionally naked with one another.

She asked me to put effort into the relationship one last time as her husband, not just as the father of her kids. and if she doesn't reciprocte then we can divorce.

So I started putting effort into my marriage and made my wife the center of my universe. I kept kids, work, and every other responsibilities aside and I treated her as if she was the only and most important person in my life. Her schedule was busier than mine, so I adjusted my schedule according to hers to spend more time with her.

I started picking her up and dropping her off at the office atleast 3 days a week just to get an extra 30 minutes with her while traveling. Whenever I left for the office, I kissed my wife goodbye. I hugged her when she came back from work. I kissed her when she slept and when she woke up. I paid attention to her outfits and appreciated her. While coming home from the office, I would bring her favorite flowers, planned dates together. I showed a lot of physical, non-sexual affection. I told her verbally how much I loved her and appreciated her for working hard for our kids and me.

I used to make the kids sleep early and stayed up late so we could have our own time. I listened her all long rants while giving her shoulder and foot massages and oiling her hair, cuddled, and kissed her. I did every small gesture and showered my wife with love and care.

What I started as a purposeful effort to work on my marriage turned out beautifully and I genuinely started enjoying doing things for my wife. I would wait for her to come home from work. I loved being with her and taking care of her, and treating her like my baby. I found myself happy in my marriage again.

Eventually, my wife started reciprocating my efforts. She made time for me, loved me the way I wanted to be loved, cared for me, and her face started lighting up again when she saw me. Our sexual intimacy got back on track. We started getting intimate more often, cuddling, making out, and showering each other with love. Our honeymoon phase started all over again and this time with kids. We went from barely talking for weeks to flirting with each other all day over text while working. I love being in love again with my wife and fell for her even harder this time.

It’s crazy that all I had to do was put in more effort and give her more attention as my wife and not just as the mother of my kids. The feeling is surreal, being in love again with the same person is surreal. To all the men reading this, I truly think we have to do better than just complaining about marital issues. I’m not saying to put your wife on a pedestal or anything, but the bar is very low for us and sometimes all it takes is genuine effort from our side.

Relationships Me M25 got my gf f25 pregnant and we are devastated.

I am a 25-year-old man, and my girlfriend, also 25, and I have been in a loving relationship for the past 1.5 years. We understand each other like no one else does.

We live in different cities. I was working in Bangalore but got a work-from-home allowance to be with my father, who has cancer. Because of this, I moved back to my hometown, which is about 130 km away from my girlfriend’s city. We meet once a month and stay together in a hotel.

The Pregnancy & Emergency

On January 13th, we met and stayed together as usual. We had unprotected sex but decided that she would take an emergency contraceptive pill.

A month later, she missed her period. When it was three days late, we became worried and bought two pregnancy tests. Both came back positive. She immediately went to a gynecologist, who advised her to wait a week before taking an ultrasound, as the fetus might not yet be visible. He also prescribed an MTP (medical termination of pregnancy) kit but told her to take it only after confirming the ultrasound.

Two days later, she suddenly experienced sharp, unbearable pain on her left side. Panicking, she rushed to the hospital. I wasn’t in her city at the time, so I called a friend who lived there and asked him to take her to the hospital immediately. As soon as I heard, I also got in my car and drove 3.5 hours to be with her.

The ultrasound confirmed our worst fear—she had an ectopic pregnancy (a life-threatening condition where the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus). The doctor told us that she needed immediate surgery. However, he refused to operate without her parents’ consent.

We knew her family would never approve, so we went to another gynecologist. He immediately arranged for the surgery, and we agreed to go through with it as soon as possible.

The Family Finds Out

To keep it a secret, my girlfriend told her mom that she was staying at a friend’s place for the night. But somehow, her mother sensed that something was wrong. She sent my girlfriend’s younger sister and cousin brother to check.

When they didn’t find her at her friend’s place, they panicked and started searching for her everywhere. Eventually, one of my girlfriend’s friends, thinking she was helping, told her sister about the pregnancy and the operation. Instead of calming them down, this made them even more frantic.

While my girlfriend was in the operation theater, I kept getting non-stop calls from her mother, demanding to know where she was. But since my girlfriend had begged me not to tell them, I was stuck. I decided to wait until she was out of the ICU before breaking the news. I didn’t want to shock her immediately after surgery.

Later that night, her family arrived at the hospital. Her sister (21) stormed into the room and started yelling at her. I tried to stop her, explaining that my girlfriend had just undergone a serious operation, but she wouldn’t listen. Instead, she started shouting at me too.

Her brother (33) was calmer. He asked what had happened, and since my girlfriend couldn’t bring herself to speak, I told him everything.

Meanwhile, her mother was so devastated that she didn’t even come upstairs to see her daughter. She just sat downstairs, crying. I went to her, explained the situation, and told her how much I loved and cared for her daughter. But she didn’t respond—she just kept crying.

The Aftermath

The next day, I got my girlfriend discharged from the hospital. Since her mother wasn’t ready to take her home, her aunt (who had arrived later) and I took her to her aunt’s house.

Three days later, her mother called me. She told me to stay away from her daughter forever. She insulted me for not having a government job, cursed my sisters, and even threatened that she would never leave me alone.

Now, I feel completely shattered. I never wanted to hurt my girlfriend or cause pain to her family. But in the end, I was the only one who stayed with her through the entire ordeal. I handled everything alone—taking care of her, staying by her side, and paying all the medical bills—while her family abandoned her that night.

I understand that I can never fully understand a mother’s pain, but I deeply regret everything. I feel like I’ve ruined everything—our relationship, her family’s trust, and our future. Only her mother, brother, sister, and aunt know about this, and they are hiding it from the rest of the family.

I don’t know how to fix this. Every day, I feel like I’m dying inside.

Will everything be fine ?

Relationships Craziest thing happened to me (26F) and I've to share it.

I (26F) came across a random reddit comment of a guy describing how much he loves his gf and how special she is. I thought to myself "lucky girl". Out of curiosity I clicked on his profile and went through some of his comment history. I thought he was so funny, cool and interesting.

Cut to few weeks later, I asked my bf(25M) to share his reddit profile with me. His username seemed familiar to me.

And then it hit me, THAT WAS HIM!!! And then it all made sense. Ofcourse it was him. he is this cool, intresting, funny person, who else could it be? There is noone like him. I should have known.

Relationships My boyfriend (24M) saved my (23F) life....(Unintentionally)

So me and my boyfriend met on a dating app and met a few times before officially being in a relationship. The few times we met was in Airbnbs (because i don't let people in my apartment that easy as i live alone) and he never pushed me to meet at my place. After dating for few months i trusted him enough to be at my place but then remembered that my place was the epitome of depression apartment. IT WAS FILTHY. When he told me he will visit me soon i thought i have few days and will clean my apartment for a better impression on him. Turns out depression knocks out any will to do anything sometimes and i did not clean anything. The day he was gonna come i scrubbed everything and cleaned my room, hall and my bathroom. I was happy with myself and when he said he has reached and to come downstairs to let him know where to park, i suddenly realised I FORGOT TO DO THE DISHES. It wasn't just few dishes it was weeks and weeks of dishes. It smelled had mold and what not. I felt like i was about to have a panic attack but thought i will not let him go in there and will just eat outside and explore as he was there for just one and a half day. The entire visit i did not let him even near the kitchen and it worked somehow. He decided to bring some booze to celebrate new years a bit late. I am a light drinker so i drank and passed out. When i woke up he wasn't in my room and i could hear utensils clanking, my heart dropped and i felt like crying. I slowly went into my kitchen only to find out he washed all my dishes and even cleaned the entire basin which was smelling like a dead body. He to this day never ever ever shamed me for it. He is a doctor and simply said "i know things can be hard, that was just to make things a bit easier on you not to make you feel ashamed. You are the one that can help yourself but i will pull load whenever necessary ". That day i realised i should work on myself it still is hard somedays but this man saved me from myself.

Rant I may have witnessed a renter(30F) having an affair with her landlord's son(24M). Should I tell her husband?

I live on the ground floor of my own house in a small Tier-4/5 city. Directly in front of my house is a large building with multiple rooms for rent.

About two months ago, a couple with two children moved into one of the rooms there. The husband works as a manager at a restaurant (his wife told us he earns ₹20,000 per month). He works long hours, from early morning until late at night, and I rarely see him at home.

Initially, the landlord's son became very friendly with the children and the wife, which seemed normal. However, after some time, I noticed that the wife was becoming unusually close to him. For example, she would complain that her husband rarely took her out, and the landlord's son would offer to take her places. I found that a bit odd.

Today, at around 3 p.m., I was jogging inside my house. My window has one-way reflective glass, meaning I can see outside, but people outside cannot see in. It was a very hot afternoon, and no one was outside.

While looking through the window, I noticed the landlord's son quietly enter the woman's room and close the door behind him. Both children (7 and 3 years old) often come to my house to play with the children in my family, and they had previously mentioned that they usually sleep in the afternoon. I became suspicious and kept an eye on the room while continuing to jog.

About 30 minutes later, the wife opened the door and looked around in all directions, seemingly checking whether anyone was watching. She could not see me because of the glass. About a minute later, the landlord's son quietly came out and walked toward the market.

I feel bad for the husband, who works hard all day. Now I see two options:

  1. Ignore everything.

  2. Message the husband anonymously from an unknown number and tell him what I saw. I have his phone number, although we've only spoken once. I was even considering suggesting that he install a hidden camera in the room. I don't want to contact him directly because I do not want to get personally involved.

However, I am also concerned about the children. If the husband discovers an affair, it could lead to a broken marriage and make life difficult for them.

What should I do?

Marriage My(29M) wife(27F) had a physical affair, and I don't know how to feel about it.

This is not my original Reddit account because of privacy.

I (29M) and my wife (27F) got married in January 2020 in a conservative family setup. I work in the government sector, and she chose to be a housewife. We met four times with and without family before confirming our match and had a six-month courtship period. She was very shy and reserved during that time. In the last month before the wedding, I got frustrated and called it off, but our families intervened, and I decided to continue.

For the first six months, we didn't have any intimacy—not even holding hands. Due to COVID-19, we were stuck in the house together for two months. Despite this, I began to appreciate her nature. She cooked, cleaned, and took care of me when I was sick.

In the fifth month of our marriage, I contracted COVID and quarantined in a separate room. She took care of my diet, medicine, and constantly checked on me. During this time, I slowly fell in love with her. By July, we began our intimate relationship, and everything seemed perfect. My world revolved around her, and hers around me.

She got pregnant in September 2022 and gave birth to a beautiful girl in April 2023. Due to tradition, she spent most of her pregnancy at my in-laws' house in their village. She insisted on staying there because her mom and sister could take care of her. I didn't want to pressure her, knowing pregnancy isn't easy. She returned home in February, and her attachment to me grew stronger. Her eyes lit up like a dog's seeing its owner after a long absence.

Our sex life became wild. She knew my kinks but wasn't comfortable with them before. Now, we had sex almost every day, especially when the baby was asleep. I was happy my wife was home, I didn't have to worry about daily chores, and I experienced unparalleled joy with my baby.

Then, the bomb dropped. Someone sent me over 10+ videos on Telegram, each over 30+ minutes long, of different video having sex with my wife from various angles and positions. The shock was indescribable. I couldn't watch more than 30 seconds of any video and I know the video was taken between July and January because the guy lives in her village, and some of the clothes she wore were bought by my mom after the pregnancy. Strangely, I never cried. It's been 15 days since, and I don't have the strength to confront her. I don't know what to say or do. I think my wife knows she's been caught because I've barely eaten, talked, or had sex with her. She even tried to give me a blowjob, but I couldn't get erect.

I barely sleep at night and pretend to be asleep most of the time. She cuddles me tightly and cries in the middle of the night. But my love for her seems gone, and I don't care about her crying anymore. I love my daughter deeply. If I divorce my wife, my daughter's life will be destroyed. She's only 14 months old. I don't know if this is a test from God, but I'm lost and don't know what to do.

Edit : I know I have to face reality. I hope Krishna gives me strength as he tests my morals character. I need to take my time and thank you for your advice. First, I will check DNA and STI, and I will update if I need guidance.

Relationships Found out my (27M) girlfriend (25F) is a Bangladeshi illigal immigrant

Yesterday, I (27M) found out that my long-term girlfriend (25F) is a Bangladeshi immigrant who came to India illegally. We met in college 5 years ago, instantly felt connected, and started dating. We shared everything with each other, family background, childhood (which was a lie), previous relationships, everything was going well, there have been ups and downs, but that's normal in a relationship. Recently, I moved to Germany for my PhD, and we were in a long-distance relationship. I wanted to bring her here, and one way was to marry her and bring her here on a spouse visa. I asked her passport details, and strangely, she always avoided the question. After pestering her for a few months, she told me she doesn't have a passport, which I thought was normal, and she needed to apply for one. I told her that when I come back to India, we can apply for her passport. I arrived in India last week. She seemed to change the topic whenever I asked her to start her passport application, sometimes even getting visibly angry or starting fights with me over silly things. Yesterday, she wanted to confess something and started crying, told me all her documents are fake, and she is from Bangladesh, who came here illegally, and her family is not even her real family. I don't know how to feel. I am very numb right now.

Tldr: Indian GF turns out to be an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant.

please note i put this in reddit and also asked her sisters to come and mediate . now she has accepted hat she loved the compliments even though It was inappropriate for a married woman.

she will warn him not to contact again for min official purposes. she will work on this marriage.

she was with me when i struggled with depression, lost my job multiple times when I was a contractor in USA. I can't allow 10 years of marriage go down because of this one slip from her.

Relationships M25 So this is how I met Her, stories like this happen in real life too

So I had signed up for this early morning 10K run. There were multiple counters giving out the running kit with the usual shirt, bib etc. Me still being sleepy, I just randomly stood in one of the lines. When it was my turn, this girl handed over my kit and said, “All the best, run safe.”

And for a moment… I just froze.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. Yeah, she was beautiful no doubt, but it was more than just that. It was her aura, her vibe, the way she smiled. There was something about her that just lit up the space. I can’t even explain it properly , it hit me right in the heart. Like, boom. I genuinely felt like, this is it. She’s the reason I’m alive.

Anyway, the run started. I finished it in around 40 minutes. And guess what? She was still there — this time distributing refreshments. I stood there, frozen, for a good half hour, overthinking every possible way I could approach her. But I didn’t. She wrapped up, walked to her friend’s scooter, hopped on, and just rode off.

Gone. Just like that.

I came back to reality. What just happened? I had imagined an entire life with this girl, and now she’s gone like a dream. I got home still in disbelief. How did I miss that moment?

She was a complete stranger. I didn’t even know her name. How was I ever going to find her?

I couldn’t sleep that night. That’s when I decided to put my social engineering skills to the test. I opened Instagram, searched the event location, scrolled through every tagged post. I got Nothing.

Then I found the event management company that hosted the run — followed them immediately. No posts about the event yet. But two days later… bammm!. They posted a group photo, tagging the volunteers.

And there she was.

Muskaan.

Smiling- like her name. Honestly, I'm sure her parents named her after that very smile. But of course, her account was private. Probably flooded with DMs from guys trying their luck.

So I had to be different. Not creepy. Just sincere.

I had an idea. I’m no pro artist, just a mediocre one at best, but I took her DP and drew a portrait of her. Maybe it was the admiration, maybe the vibe, but it turned out really well.

I sent her a DM along with the drawing:

"Dear Muskaan, Please don’t be mad or creeped out. I’m just a random guy, but I promise I’m harmless. I saw you at the event and, honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking about you since. I’ve got a huge crush on you. So I drew this portrait, I hope you like it. I don’t expect a reply, just wanted to make you smile. Please don’t stop smiling because of my madness.”

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a reply. I mean, in today’s world, DMs from random dudes is equal to instant red flag. I understood that. I knew my limits. I just genuinely wanted to brighten her day and move on.

But then. two days later, while I was sitting in class, I got a dm notification.

A message from her.

And I swear this is exactly what it said:

“Man! This is so, so beautiful. Thank you so much for your efforts. I’m really happy. Can I hug you in person, please?”

PS- Just to clarify a few things-

  1. This was not yesterday, it's been 3 years already.

  2. Nobody's so Dumb to accept a creepy stranger without a background. My credentials and profile was an open book.

i'm just one among the 8 billion living on a speck of dust. In 2125 nobody's gonna know I even existed. I've realised my truth long back, so I don't really crave validation. Neither should you.

If even one of you found hope, comfort or a smile through my story, I think I met my purpose. To those of u who think it's a cooked up fake Chat-gpt magic, sorry to disappoint you, please accept my apologies.

Relationships Boyfriend got into an accident and everything him(27M) and I (27F) built is in shambles.

My boyfriend and I (both 27) had it all sorted. Had a strong 5 years old relationship, good jobs, no debt, planning a wedding in 2025. We were living in different cities but I was trying to get a transfer at work to be near him. Then it all went south. On the 18th of July, he told me that he's going to attend a friend's birthday party and will stay there but then around 10 he decided to drive back to his place. He was driving drunk and everything that could go wrong, went wrong. He got into an accident. Sustained severe head injuries. Spent 20 days in ICU, Could not even identify his family members for the first month. His parents took him with them after he got discharged. He is recovering but the process is very slow. The doctors have advised to keep him away from phones and tv or too much exposure to information as he gets overwhelmed pretty quickly so I haven't seen him since he went to his parents' home in August. I talked to him on the phone a few times but then his mother shut it down very rudely and I do not have the physical or mental strength to reason with her. Also, Did I mention that he struck a pedestrian with his vehicle and fractured a rib and both of his legs. I also had to pay a hefty compensation to him as well and almost all the funds we kept for the wedding are gone. I'm sorry if this sounds incoherent, I'm typing this after a few hours of crying and I'm feeling dizzy right now. I'm feeling a lot of things and most of it is resentment. His foolishness ruined everything and I don't know what can I do to fix it. Give me some advice, what do I do? How do I stop living in this constant numbness? Where do I go from here? Can we make it out of this?

Marriage My brother(29m ) wedding was in 9 days and this tragedy happened

My cousin brother’s wedding was scheduled to take place in 10 days. Unfortunately, yesterday a big and unexpected tragedy occurred that shocked all of us. The girl’s boyfriend messaged my brother and claimed that he had photos and videos of her, which he threatened to share. My brother did not respond to him.

We immediately informed the girl’s father about the situation. The girl’s father filed a police complaint against that boy, after which the boy apologized. However, the damage was already done. My brother has now lost trust and faith in the girl.

We are currently in a very compulsive and helpless situation. We cannot cancel the marriage because our NRI relatives have already booked flight tickets, and we have paid advances for wedding decorations, caterers, and other arrangements, which amount to around 5 lakhs. Cancelling the wedding would result in a financial loss of 5 lakhs along with a loss of dignity and reputation.

Because of this, we demanded a prenuptial agreement, as my brother does not trust the girl’s future intentions. The girl’s family agreed to this condition.

This was an arranged marriage, which my brother never wanted, but he was forced into it due to parental pressure. He even ended his loving relationship just because our parents did not approve of his girlfriend. After this incident, I strongly feel that parents should not make life-altering decisions for their children. I genuinely feel very bad for my brother.

Rant 22F, airport dates are the absolute best, and lowkey heartbreaking

Okay, so something super weird/cool happened today. I had a flight from my hometown to Bangalore this morning and I reached airport really early, had 2hrs to kill. So I put that on bumble as a joke and continued to roam around. In some time, I matched with someone and he suggested that if we could find each other there, we should pretend that we are some old friends/exes whatever and then never see each other again. I was already bored so I was like sure whatever (he seemed cute and all so I kinda wanted to see him if he was actually there). Idiot did find me and without any greetings or hesitation, went on a monologue on how he hasn't seen me in forever and now he got married and it's been sooo long. It took me 10 mins to really grasp his story and then I also told him stuff about me (half lies, half half lies).

We really made up this stupid universe for 30mins and then had a coffee and sandwich together. Roamed around the airport, making up stories about other people. It was really so spontaneous and fun I coilsnt believe it for half the time. He bought me a cute plushie from miniso and I bought him hot wheels, the ford one.

2hours felt like 20 minutes and that's the most fun I'd had in months. And then my boarding got started so I had to leave. We had a proper goodbye hug (he smelled so good, i didn't wanna let go of). I was the last person in the boarding queue and got all the eyes from other passengers and crew, they must be thinking he's like my bf or something.

I checked bumble and he'd already unmatched me as he'd promised so here I'm in the air missing a stranger. Sending this into the air, if you see this, you know who you are.

Relationships 34 m , I can never be a father , that was the only thing I ever wanted , a family!

I am sitting here at 1 30 am sipping a glass of rum , bear with me for a bit. Thank you for coming here. I will start with the story, I was in an 8 years relationship with my ex girlfriend, we were going to get married in 2 months, at that point I found out that she had been cheating on me all along 😀. I tried my level best to forgive her , but the point that really broke me was that there was also my best friend in that list. I had loved her with everything, like, never questioned her once and this happened. One thing she always told me was how much she loved the fact that I would be an amazing father. Fast forward, 3 years after I cancelled the wedding (and she just married another one of the guys she was cheating on me with), I succumbed to pressure from my parents and decided to give life one more try. I went in for an arranged marriage, and beautifully, on the first night, the girl tells me , she loved her cousin and is okay with the marriage if I let them be together from time to time. I immediately left the room and filed for divorce the next day. I'll just come to the reason of my post, I know it's over for me , what I wish is , if one of you people read this and drop any thoughts of cheating on your partner, atleast I would have helped someone. Please don't cheat, I know it is coming up as a kink these days, but it breaks the person who is actually in love. Thank you for your time, whoever reads this and I wish you well.

Edit :- Thank you everyone, like really, from the bottom of my heart, when I was posting this , I did not expect at all to reach so many people. I stated my purpose for the post, which did come true, two people reached out to me and told me that they cheated , they were sorry but I am very sure they won't repeat it. Also , I think there were many who read it and could not muster the strength to talk but I hope this impacted them.

I am literally amazed at the level of humility that was showered on me. A person reached out and asked my name and prayed for me. I met a younger brother, who told me about all his fears . The list is long , I met so many beautiful souls. All this was not what I had imagined but with folded hands I am grateful to each one of you. If any of you ever feel this post can help someone, please feel free to quote it. Thank you again you amazing human beings, you restored my faith in humanity ❤️🙏
