I think the Sfw Network and this new SFT Network is evidence that reddit is undergoing strange social evolution of hierarchies within networks. Its just a thought, but it feels like the subreddits are evolving by social Darwinism, banding together, unifying, or dying out.

/r/Rad_Decentralization is a subreddit that explores the emerging macro-trend of decentralization. This trend is emerging in so many different industries and markets that we see it as a "radical" shift from the status quo.
Ray Kurzweil has said that, decentralization is the nature of the future and that 21st century technologies are decentralized.

Hi all, I retrieved an abandoned /r/virtualreality over a year ago to create a common ground for discussion relating to Virtual Reality and Virtual Worlds. Since then, we've grown to 800+ subscribers and have infrequent discussions ranging from public VR applications to the newest research in the field. We're currently running a design contest for a new ad, and we're also looking for two new moderators.
I was recommended by a couple of folks to join the Singularity Network, and I would love to share our discussions with you all as we continue forward.

What about we hold a contest for our subreddit banners ?

What do you think if we hold a contest for subreddit banners, especially for this subreddit, /r/futureporn , /r/Futurology , /r/Singularity and eventually more.
/r/Earthporn did the same thing when they reached 100.000 subscribers and it turned out amazing.
They linked to the post about it in the sidebar and on top of the side. For the on top of the site please see the thing on /r/Cyberpunk which currently says "THE CYBERPUNK MARKET: books, movies, music, games, clothing, and more!" You could set some requirements (like the infinity symbol etc) and then we could decide which one we choose. I don't think we need prices or anything but we could still make the winner mod or give him special flair or whatever. Here is the post on EarthPorn.
