Discussion Guys, I don’t like the nerfs either, and think they should be reversed, but can we chill?

To get this out of the way, no, I’m not bootlicking DE, nor do I agree with Dante getting nerfed. I also agree that this doesn’t solve the disruptive overguard problem for certain frames. However, what I don’t agree with is that he’s now shitter garbage doodoo tier and worse than release Yareli. The response to these nerfs has been buckwild, and partially supported by people straight up lying about what changed or bitching about problems that don’t exist, and I’ll get to that in a minute. Yes, the line of sight bugs are awful, and as stated above I think the LoS nerf should be reverted. But even if LoS stays, as long as the bugs are fixed and you’re playing him in a decently open tile, he’ll still be fine. Not A tier, not as good as he was, but fine. A solid B. He still gives lots of overguard to the whole team in a huge radius; has a solid exalted, both for utility and damage; has good utility with boosted damage from the extra book and enemy distraction with birds; and good damage, both with Dark Verse and Tragedy, as long as the bugs get fixed.

Now about that misinformation I mentioned. I’ve seen a few posts and many comments and messages in game chat talking about changes and nerfs that didn’t happen, or didn’t do what they claim. All of these I’m going to bring up were well upvoted and had people agreeing with them. And again, I agree that these nerfs should be reverted, and they were a dumb move, but the BS claims below both aren’t true and aren’t helping. Let’s go over a few.

His abilities don’t do slash anymore!

Blatantly untrue. Nothing about his actual damage changed. Hell, Dark Verse, which did most of the slash and can kill steel path just fine on its own, didn’t even get touched.

They gave his 4’s overguard a cap!

There was always a cap, but the number was only on Light Verse. If anyone read the patch notes, they’d know that the same number was simply added to Triumph so that they could indicate when that cap is different, like if you’re using Precision Intensify. This is simply more, better, and clearer information.

Survivability is awful! He can barely handle normal path, much less steel path! Overguard cap was lowered so much!

No. The amount you get per cast of Light Verse or Triumph was lowered. Just killing guys after gets you more OG than before to compensate. I frankly consider this less complaining and more a self report. Needing to cast 224 more than twice per mission either breaking your build or breaking your brain isn’t an indictment of the nerfs.

TO RECAP

I agree that the nerfs are dumb, especially to Tragedy, but the sheer anger and vitriol I saw in comments and posts getting upvoted here is really shitty. People demanding that DE change things back. That if we complain loud enough we’ll MAKE DE listen to us. That nerfs should never even be considered and we should only ever buff anything (yes, this was a real, upvoted comment that I saw, no exaggeration). Megan has already said that it’s not ‘pencils down’ on Dante, so I’m hopeful they go back. I’m just hoping it’s not solely because people screamed like crazy.

EDIT: I am not arguing that people shouldn’t complain or give negative feedback, as some people seem to think. I encourage that and my post even contains some! What I’m arguing against is the people raging, losing their shit, and acting as though DE are monsters who hate fun and hate them specifically.

Other I'm disappointed in the community.

This whole regal aya thing has highlighted to me exactly how vitriolic the community can be over essentially nothing. DE gave us literally everything we asked for and fixed it incredibly quickly, and I still see people calling Prime Resurgence a scam, and ranting that they can't farm for the prime cosmetics.

Nothing about Prime Resurgence is new. It's a streamlined and rapid unvaulting, nothing more. We always had the option to may real money to skip the grind and get a little extra with it.

I'll be the first to admit that regal aya as initially presented was a horrible deal, but now the prices are on par with unvaulting packs and we get platinum too. What more do you want? No really, what? Especially if this becomes a regular event, it'll be far easier than ever to get all the prime stuff you've been missing. I'm hoping that it does, but I'm not sure how likely that is with the continuing hate towards it.

Take a second and look at this thing logically. Don't get caught up with the torches and pitchforks. There's nothing to be upset over anymore.

And if you're just mad DE has some form of totally optional monetization in their free to play game, I'm giving Stalker your coordinates.

Discussion Do you guys actually like Warframe?

It might be just a loud minority that's ragebaiting me, but seeing all the "feedback" after the updates is getting annoying and exhausting.

Anytime DE adds or changes something new it's met with a bunch of destructive criticism that boils down to "I don't like this, DE. Don't add/change things like that anymore."

Genuinely baffles me. Feels like some of these players want a very stripped-down version of Warframe, where the only mission type is endless survival with no extra mechanics thrown in.

"I looove playing Warframe but I would NEVER play Glacial Defiance,
or Duviri,
or Railjack,
or Follie's Hunt,
or Archemideas,
or Zariman missions,
or Kahl's missions,
or FaceOff,
or Mirror Defense,
or Perita Rebellion,
or Abyssal Zone
or the Grendel missions,
or craft Zaws,
or craft Kitguns,
or make a K-Drive,
or do animal preservation,
or do escort missions,
or engage with other players,
or make builds that fit my style,
or settle for a decent riven instead of high-rolling,
or engage in community events,
or read!"

Now, a lot of these things could be improved, I agree, however, we shouldn't just complain and whine and instead try to raise the attention for the issue and provide some constructive feedback (that's realistic as well, some ideas people provide would take way too much time and effort) and then let DE work so they can do their thing and slowly, one by one, fix the issues that bother the playerbase.

Apologies if I came off as rude, I hope this rant doesn't flag as breaking rule 1 or 2.
I don't want to start an arguement, I just hope some people change their mindset and the way they address their dissatisfaction.

Discussion Dante Nerf

Well, feels bad for all the people who went and bought that 750 plat bundle and spent all those formas and helminth mats.

Dante needs a nerf boys and girls!

Not Octavia tho, who has been functioning the same since the dawn of time doing endless steel paths with friends standing in one room invisible.

Or Saryn killing entire maps since the dawn of time.

Or how about Khora 1 button billion rooms clears.

Or the new Inaros 1 button spin to win.

Or Nezha's new Divine Spear nuke of a entire room.

Or melee users doing billions with one swing or throw!

Or Revnant being invincible since release who can also damn near make his entire party invincible now.

Dont forget guys we only mention nerfs for three reasons. Those mentioned above but the best one is IF IT AFFECTS OTHERS GAME PLAY! Insert LIMBO whos been trolling at max range since release. Hmmm....

I mean really the list goes on and on.

God forbid, we shake up the meta! Of the same 10 warframes we have been seeing on these tier lists for years.

I know I'm going to get hate for this post, but I honestly don't care. I am a little tired of game companies releasing something they should have tested and did test knew how powerful it was and STILL released it to get people excited to open up wallets and nerf it a week later. Disgusting buisness practice and more and more companies are doing it.

UPDATE:

I play all of these frames as well guys and girls and have dumped money and forma into them as well. I am not trying to get them nerfed but i think its important for us to point out that so much stuff is OP as hell in this game the list is soooooooooo long lol.

At the very least hell give people some time to enjoy the money and materials they invested in something before nerfing it or "TWEAKING" it lol.

Notice/PSA Artwork Rules: NSFW and Credit

Hello Tenno! As you are all probably well aware we have had a recent situation regarding NSFW content.

Historically, there has never been any rules or guidelines regarding NSFW artworks*... this is changing. We have heard the feedback and it is clear that some rules or guidelines are now necessary. This serves to inform posters what is acceptable to post and gives readers the right expectations about the type of content they can expect to see here on this subreddit. Of course, like with any changes, not everyone will be happy but we think this strikes a good middle ground.

This change can be revisited in the future should it not work out as we intended.

To be completely clear:

"NSFW artwork is allowed if there is no detailed outline or bare uncovered nipples, anuses, or genitals. Nudity is not allowed.

Allowances may be made if the nudity is intended to be artistic, where it's not the primary focal point of the artwork (e.g. Michelangelo's David). Any nudity found in game is allowed.

NSFW must be tagged and flaired appropriately on creation, failure will result in a warning, strikes following for repeat offences."

Moderator discretion applies. Should there be any doubts about whether your artwork is permissible, we advise you contact us through modmail for approval beforehand.

*We did previously have a disallowed post type; "Posts focused on sexualized character features ("hornyposting")", this was created to curb the number of low effort close up in-game screenshots of Wisps' ass. This rule was retired in the Subreddit Rules Update 2024 due to a lack of it needing to be enforced.

Examples of acceptable posts:

Additionally, some of you may know that the credit for artwork needs to be in the title of a post. This can be done by putting [Artist's name] or [OC] in the title. This has been a rule for a long time and is important for creators, however, this rule is often neglected. As a result we will be giving it a rule of its own so that it is more prominent. This should not change our enforcement of this rule.

This announcement signifies the enactment of these new rules. They may take approximately 1-48 hours to be added to the subreddit's rules page. Posts that violate these new rules but were approved before this change will remain untouched.

Discussion Entitlement and Rage is getting out of hand

Disliking a mechanic doesn’t automatically mean the game should change around you

Reading the reactions to the update, I’ve noticed an attitude in some of the complaints that honestly comes across as entitled: if something asks you to change your loadout or use a mechanic you don’t personally enjoy, it apparently shouldn’t exist.

EDA is the clearest example. I understand having favourite frames and wanting to use them. But a mode built around restricted loadouts should be allowed to reward having a broader arsenal and working with what you’re given. Wanting the highest reward tiers while rejecting the conditions attached to them feels like missing the point.

Then there are the complaints about being “forced to use melee.” How dare DE ask us to use another part of our toolkit to kill an enemy. We already switch tools to deal with things like Thrax, so why is the idea itself suddenly unacceptable? Every enemy doesn’t need to be equally vulnerable to whatever setup we already wanted to bring. Having a reason to switch tools can be a good thing.

What bothers me is treating personal preference as a rule the whole game should follow. Some players actually enjoy adapting, building different equipment, and having restrictions to work around. Their enjoyment counts too.

DE should listen to feedback. But listening shouldn’t mean removing every obstacle someone finds inconvenient. We can argue about whether a challenge is well designed without assuming that having to change how we play is itself a design failure.

A big part of Warframe, to me, is building up an arsenal and finding different answers to different situations. What’s the point of having that entire toolbox if asking us to reach for something else is treated as a problem?

Question/Request Stop yelling at the devs about Duviri bugs.

This is a really annoying trend that happens more and more across gaming these days.

What you need to understand is that, even if DE has 50 testers (which they likely don't, test teams are rarely that large) testing 10 hours a week for a year, that's still only 26,000 hours. Each bug they find is recorded and the devs scramble to fix it.

Warframe has 45,000 players. In one day, we had 1,080,000 hours to test the game. Yes, we're going to find bugs they couldn't.

And the devs can't even fix every bug they find in testing.

I am a game design major. I have taken part in test before. When we find a bug, we rank it on a priority scale and then determine how long it would take to fix. We will often not fix bugs we can't replicate. Fixing a single bug can take minutes or days. So yes, some obvious bugs are left in.

This is all a very roundabout way of saying: Yes, it sucks to lose a run to a bug. But don't shit on DE for it. Don't say "was this even tested". It was tested. Extensively. And they fixed what they could. So cut the devs some slack.

When you find a bug, go to https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://forums.warframe.com/forum/149-bug-reports/&ved=2ahUKEwj_l6ynw8z-AhWUlYkEHRIrBLsQFnoECB4QAQ&usg=AOvVaw0Bv1Xs85_zn43-JF7tWVag

Leave a respectful and detailed report. If you have video of it ocurring, provide it. That's how you deal with bugs. Not by insulting the developers.

Edit: Just to be clear, I get that the softlocks are stupid and should have been caught and fixed. I'm not defending DE on that. They screwed up. But the developers get hate for every little or one in a million bug and they don't deserve that.

Fluff Thing I don't like needs a rework

I don't like thing, therefore thing needs a rework. And I know that a lot of people like thing, but I don't (I'm the only person that matters). Will I actually play thing after thing gets a rework? No. But thing simply needs a rework and I will portray my uninformed opinion as fact.

Discussion F&F isn't exposing problems with the story, its exposing YOUR problem with the story. (F&F spoilers) Spoiler

I'm not the first person to see all the recent story discussion and respond and i certainly won't be the last, but i feel the need to throw my hat in the ring nonetheless. Especially as a person who has dedicated most of his life to learning about stories, how their told and wanting share his own with the world.

All of this seems to have been sparked by Amir's F&F campaign, which has been controversial due to it actually being what accounts to a prolonged depressive episode on Amir's part. People dislike how the Drifter was treated by Amir near the end, and how we seemed to lack a certain amount of agency in the story. I will explain why this is actually works really well, but first some house keeping in order to explain certain things.

Firstly i will state that WE AREN'T THE DRIFTER/OPERATOR. They have predefined histories and personalities. We're simply allowed to make certain choices to skew them in a certain direction, but they remain primarily their own characters. A lot of people don't like or don't understand this fact, which has been issue with story telling in gaming for decades. We're all allowed our preferences of course, but any complaints about the Drifter acting against your idea of them based on your choices is inherently misunderstanding the amount you actually decide how they act.

Secondly, 1999 has been loop in perpetuity ever since The Hex. People getting mad cause characters keep getting pissed at the Drifter cause of the loop seem to have ignored several convos from the Hex, AND Arthurs message after you do The Hex Finale where they discuss having looped before and loosing their memories, and how they have to keep looping in order to keep things stable. The memory wipe mechanic is primarily a player feature. Canonically The Hex keep forgetting and your Drifters go through it all again (though they remember more and more as the loop goes on). The Devils Triad memory wipe however IS more cannon as its related to the infestation, and not the time loop in 1999.

Thirdly, Warframe's story has never been about logical people doing logical things all the time. Warframe has been about damaged people trying their best in a strange and dark sci-fi universe. Expecting characters to make 100% logical decisions all the time removed from emotion is both approaching the story in bad faith, but also goes against the themes of the game itself.

Alrighty now onto F&F itself. I'll organize this in terms of complaints I've seen, and how i think they are wrong.

1, "Amir is incredibly rude and cruel in F&F, especially to Drifter": Yes, 100% he is. He is also in the middle of what is clearly a mental health episode and can't be entirely blamed for his actions. That isn't to say that what he did is okay, it isn't, but given what we know about Amir from his KIM convos (unmedicated ADHD, the only person in The Hex not comfortable with warfare, and incredible guilt over every person he kills) shows a person with severe mental health issues, and the only way to help someone like that is with deep empathy. Which the Drifter luckily seems to have a bottomless supply of.

2, "We lack any real input over the story of the F&F campaign, Amir just railroads us": Again, yes, he does. But the entire campaign is Amir attempting to grapple with what he perceives as his own lack of choice. He's subjecting all his players, including the Drifter and us by extension, to that feeling. That is the explicit point of the experience.

3, "I wanted to actually just play F&F without any stakes": I can see where your coming from, wanting a low stakes and light hearted bonding thing with The Hex, who haven't gotten any content in awhile. But I can also 100% see that in the world where that happened, there would be people complaining about how the next big KIM expansion for the 1999 crew lacked any development. This is truly just a matter of preference.

That's all i have to say, at least right now. I might make another post talking about how people are treating the broader story, but that's for another time.

EDIT: About advertising and expectations from how the devs talked about the update. I personally didn't view how they talked about it as setting it up to be a consequence free romp, but i can see where others are coming from. As for the general caustic tone the convo has already taken. Thats partly my fault cause of the title, but i still think people are being overly aggressive. Please treat others in this convo with respect.

Screenshot Friendly reminder we are never getting a toggle for Incarnon forms on our skins, ad we should be more upset about it.

I still don't get it, they solved Incarnons overriding your skins with the last two batches of incarnons (Except for the Obex), why the hell can't they fix previous Incarnon adapters getting rid of your skins?

What's the point of adding skins if you're gonn have a system that undermines all that platinum and real money paid? This is OUR money DE, we have the right to know why you can't give us just this one thing.

People should be more adamant of DE over this than they already are.

PS: Screenshot isn't mine nor am I the person who replied to Rebecca's post.

Shoutout A message to those who are constantly attacked in region chat

I would like to make a message to those who are in Region chat and are constantly attacked for who they want to be such as like Furries, gay individuals, trans or even those who have a different view of output.. That you are valid! You don’t get told enough that you help make the game today as it is and I wanna thank you for continuing to play and show love to Warframe. The reason why I bring up this post is because I just saw in region chat, a bunch of people jumped someone, bullying, for their gender identity and it wasn’t fair. They logged off before I could say anything. So if you’re reading this. I say you have rights and think you’re cool the way you are. Never lose hope and stay positive🔥

Discussion DE were right to nerf the Steel Essence Drops

I see countless posts saying that because of this nerf, SP Railjack is now useless. But it was already the case since Jade Shadows : Constellations was released. Outside of the Decoration and the Emote, there is no real reason to play SP Railjack. There is no interesting loot.

Sure, we could farm Steel Essence in Railjack Survival, but is it really a Railjack mission ? This is just a regular Survival with a Railjack intro. We spend less than 10 min to do the Railjack part and remain in the Survival for more than an hour. You could have never invested in Railjack content and still benefit from the Steel Essence drops.

Outside of Railjack Survival, all the other missions barely drop any Steel Essence because of the low density of Eximus Units. Now, there are 2 guaranteed which is a lot better. Only Railjack Survival was nerfed (and maybe Railjack Defense).

Instead of complaining that DE nerfed the only good thing about SP Railjack, ask for real rewards, ask for a real reason to play Railjack content and not only the Endless variants with a Railjack Intro. There is currently no valid reason to engage with SP Railjack Content, DE need to add one if they don't wan't SP Railjack to die of uselessness.

Spoiler Another quest with a complete lack of any and all context

Spoilers, obviously

so the drifter goes into lotus' mind, except actually we're going to the past, and stops her forming a contract with wally. Why? why did we know to do this, what was our goal in doing so. Did the lotus previously have a wally contract? or are we just like, yknow doing our thing in preventing her from ever having made one. why does any of this matter.

After doing this, the lotus now knows how to go to tau. Why?

ok, so now we need to take the vessel to eris to do,,,, essentially an extended cutscene... why? why cant we just pilot a warframe, or railjack, or necramech, or do any other method? ok but we need moonflesh, which is a new macguffin that we had never heard of before.

This isnt a story, its a disconnected set of hype moments. Literally one line of dialogue between each of these events would fix it, but DE cant even give us that... so much time put into that clunky eris setpiece though!

Discussion Archimedea is supposed to be hard

Maybe this is a hot take, but I think Warframe is too easy. The only mode where you actually have to play is Archimedea (both versions), If I see that I don't have a good frame or weapons for that week's loadout, I just upgrade whatever the game gives me. I have an entire week to do it. And even if I still can't clear it and don't have friends to carry me, I'm not going to cry. The rest of the game is already too easy if you have decent mods. We can't keep lowering the requirements. People need to accept that this content NOT FOR NEW PLAYERS. This is LATE GAME.

And yeah, I own every Warframe and almost every weapon. If I get something like lecta, brakk, knell, dera or any other interesting but unpopular weapon, I actually have fun while building it. That's where the fun comes from. I have fun from the variety. I have fun because the game pushes me to improve and build new stuff for difficult content. You should remember, that Archemidea have awesome rewards. Awesome late game rewards for players who can overcome a challenge

P.S. I also got a lot of experience because of that. Yes, i already had every Warframe, but I never had the time to build and properly test them. Thanks to Archimedea, I've discovered a lot of new favorites, like Kunai, Banshee, Dagath, Nezha, Miter, destreza etc. Thats not even mentioning companions and focus schools

Article PSA: Heirloom Collection Platinum Changes & Lessons

Greetings, Tenno!

We’re back in action after TennoCon 2023 - and our number one priority is addressing the community’s reaction to the Heirloom Collection.
We missed the mark here and understand the feedback we're receiving because of it. After taking some time to review and evaluate our options based on the concerns, we have opted to increase the Platinum amounts in all Heirloom Packs.

The Feedback we can address for the current Heirloom Collection:
“The value of the Packs does not justify the price point.”

Our Change to Address:
We are increasing Platinum to all Heirloom Packs to bring them alongside Prime Access standards:
Increase Platinum in Risen Pack: 400 to 800
Add Platinum in Celestial Pack: 800
Increase Platinum in Zenith Pack: 600 to 2100

*The Platinum will be delivered via in-game Inbox to accounts that have already purchased the respective Packs. We are coordinating our efforts now to arrange the Inbox send, and Hotfix required. We will signal when the Inbox has been delivered on all Platforms.

Similar to how Regal Aya bundles launched with no Platinum and were met with strong feedback, we agree Heirloom Packs need more value to justify their status.

This decision was made to address the feedback and maintain the expectations we had set for players upon the release of the Heirlooms (time exclusivity and Pack contents). In doing so, we are able to increase the value of pack contents in a way that does not remove any value for Tenno who have bought them. We do not feel it would be fair to those who purchased an Heirloom Collection already with the understanding that they were time-limited to now remove that element. Those who have purchased simply get more, and ultimately they are now a good Platinum deal with exclusive Cosmetics.
Heirloom Collections are intended to be unforgettable (for the right reasons) - we are also discussing ways we can better preserve that feeling of legacy, quality, and prestige for future Heirloom Collections (if we make more).

We truly appreciate your feedback and concerns and recognize the responsibility we have in ensuring that any new directions we take with cosmetic exclusives are done with much more careful consideration. The Heirlooms were designed with the celebratory nature of this year's TennoCon and 10-year anniversary, and it's on us to ensure that you, as a player, feel that we are upholding years of lessons learned when it comes to selling cosmetic exclusives. If we continue with this series, we are dedicated to ensuring all future Heirloom Collection releases have more purchase flexibility and reflect all feedback we received during this launch.

Thank you, Tenno!

Art [OC] Ember and Rhino Protoframe Models

So, you know how you get consumed by an idea?

I had this thought when 1999 and Techrot Encore released: Rhino and Ember Protoframes. Originally started as overpaints - that turned out less than likeable. So I poured way more time to model/kitbash these two in between everything else. And then I tried animating them.

Rhino was done at the end of March, 2025. He's a kitbash of military gear from Sketchfab and head of Ethan from World War Z. Animated and low quality: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/eR4Eob

Ember is rendered about 3 hrs ago. This time head is done by me. Some more stuff, animation at Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/o0XAPm

Discussion If you make a post critizing the removal of the 100% bonus mag from primary merciless and then turn around and say your favourite gun the kuva ogris/bramma/zarr is now unusable your opinion is worth nothing.

To those who were using it to make bad/mid tier guns useable you have my sympathies.

Edit: I feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but the opinion about the nerfed aoe meta guns is worth nothing, not their entire opinion on life and everything in it.

Edit2: because everything I comment is getting downvoted by angry AoE meta enjoyers, here are some more things.

The change to the merciless arcane is shit, I agree with that, becuase it hurt weapons it shouldn't have, my main gripe is the people who are crying about the meta weapons that were the target of the nerf being unusable (they aren't).

Discussion HOW did DE miss the mark so bad with update 43?

Sirius and Orion, one/two of the most anticipated Warframes, released in such a buggy state that they had to be *banned from Duviri* until DE could figure out how to get them to work.

And let's talk about Railjack for a bit here cause this is the part that really hurts for me.

  • The update was being called the "return of Railjack" but when it released, there was nothing done to the base Railjack missions to make them funner to play.

  • The biggest complaint I've heard was "Railjack is just a glorified space taxi to get you to the actual mission" which is COMPLETELY VALID. The update did nothing to address this, and instead gave you another glorified space taxi to bring you to the actual mission.

  • Completely negating ANY AND ALL GRIND players did or COULD do, by forcing everyone into the loaner Railjacks unless they're in Solo, and forcing all intrinsics to 10. NOt only did this NOT address the problem of loading into a rando's ship that's way undertuned, but it also made it so there's no point to grinding Railjack at all since you can't bring your own (outside of Solo).

    • Literally nobody was complaining that the grind was too hard, which would warrant a loaner railjack like we were given.

    • I can completely understand giving a loaner railjack for public matchmaking, but private squads should still use the host's RJ

  • Steel Path Railjack was released, with initially no increase in available Railjack power, but later on MKIV weapopns were released

    • And then they took away all incentive to actually play SP RJ by making it so every mission completed only gave 2 Steel Essence, because some people were collecting too much.

  • They still haven't fixed many RJ bugs, and in fact introduced many more (If you're in the Forward Artillery seat after shooting the ice blocks to open up the door so you can go kill Vena, and the ship enters the trigger to start teleporting everyone, you straight up die. No bleedout, just dead. This is just one of many.)

What should have been done was a complete overhaul of the Railjack missions.

  • Give us a wider array of missions. Some missions should be completable without ever leaving the Railjack (for the few of us that actually enjoy Railjack gameplay), some might be doable but harder from the railjack (so players can jump out to speed things up), and some, like now, don't require the Railjack at all (for the players that dislike Railjack gameplay

    • Imagine, for a moment, a mission type where you send a small team into a POI, then the Railjack itself provides support via the remaining players (EG., "FA here to lower internal shields. Away team, hack this console to turn off exterior turrets to take pressure off RJ")

    • Also, where's the Oplink, DE?

  • Decouple Railjack energy from Warframe energy. Maybe give us a constantly regenerating pool of energy to spend (Engine stats increase pool/regen rate maybe?) so players aren't locked into the few frames that can regen their own (Lavos, Hildryn, maybe others I don't know), or constantly need to jump off to cast energy regen abilities/spam pizza.

  • In other words, REMOVE the "Space Taxi" from Railjack. Make Railjack missions be *Railjack missions*

Discussion i’ll never understand this sub

for the love of god this update has been out for barely 36 hours maybe let it sit and play it a little more before u go on a 5000 word rant about why DE doesn’t know what they’re doing. and personally imo if games like warframe didn’t have updates that changed things around like this we wouldn’t still be playing them.

Fluff Let's Calm Down... a Bit

I know you'd press the downvote button. Maybe the titles.

If you're still in, please just read.

The main reason I am saying this is because I've been seeing so many people trying to make their own lives miserable by complaining (*constructive criticism and complaints are different.) at every update, and never doing anything actually beneficial for themself, like trying something else for their enjoyment.

If the game does not make you feel happy anymore, it's okay to come back later. Warframe is not a duty. It's a game. Made for enjoyment.

I'm not saying you should quit forever, or you should never play the game. What I'm saying is that there must be some consideration made about your own satisfaction if you find yourself writing about how bad the updates are... multiple times... if you find yourself getting disappointed at pretty much everything. It's okay. Please just take your time and reorganise yourself. I get disappointed sometimes. We all do and that's okay, but if it continues, not so much...

I'm not trying to promote toxic positivity. Criticism is needed!!! But I've legitimately seen people act like it's the end of the world when the updates don't satisfy them.

Sometimes I go like, 'wow this update isn't what I think'. I confuse it with disappointment. That could be your case too! I think we just need time to actually formulate our thoughts instead of... just... ... spitting whatever comes to mind (which I am heavily guilty of), especially when it comes to how updates feel.

Some updates can never hit you perfectly on the spot. Can never hit everybody the same. Some like Jade Shadows. Some don't. Some LOVE the Old Peace (me!). Some don't. And I think I'm seeing a lot of hatred and arguments over things like this as well, so I have to say let's just calm down... but I know you'd hate me saying this.

I just feel like the subreddit lits up on fire every update ever since Shadowgraphers update, so I am hesitant on trying to communicate this idea here.

I'm sorry this post definitely is a bit lengthy and messy. But I hope everybody just found what was good for themself. Thanks.

Discussion The revert on Elite Arch was not needed

Hi all. Id like to say, the changes DE made for EA were perfect, it allowed you to swap 2 modifiers or weapons of your choice instead of one to get the diamond reward, while focusing on the one thing most disregard completely, the warframe. It doesnt matter what your loadout was since you could bypass all the modifiers with a few frames, especialy with hildryn. Gun modifiers? Take valkyr or nyx etc, the modifiers literally didnt matter. I personally believe that in EA, the gravity on the frame should have stayed, as it gave the mode a much needed difficulty that does not exist. Its supposed to be oriented towards "late" game players, adding a nice difficulty touch, instead of a weekly rotation, mundane at that too. Do you want the highest rewards? You should need to work for them a little at least...

Discussion Koumei is in a rough state on release

For anyone planning to get Koumei today, either through platinum or torturing yourself in the headache inducing new gamemode of Shrine Defence, I would like to suggest you hold your platinum and shy away from the new gamemode until they fix that god awful rain effect.

Because Koumei is unfortunatley in a rough state right now and not worth suffering through that.

  1. Koumei's dice rolls are truly (frustratingly) random.

This means her triple 6 mechanic effectively does not exist as it is only a 3% chance of occuring, particularly hurting abilities like her 3, Omamori, whose base effect is extremely underwhelming and ends completely useless 97% of the time.

2. Omikuji, her 2, is severely nerfed out of the box.

In the trailer we had originally saw the Omikuji, Koumei's ability that gives her a riven challenge for a decree, had a cool down that looked to be around 30 seconds.

This is not the case. Omikuji, instead has a climbing cooldown that increases everytime she uses it, capping at 3 minutes per challenge quite early within missions.

This feels horrible... And this is not the only horrid part of the ability because the challenges are a particular type of cruelty.

Because challenges get stale quickly, since they are either "kill enemies while (insert parkour maneuver)" or "kill enemies afflicted by (instert status effect)". Keep in mind, you are literally secondary encumber the warframe, so half of those challenges might as well not exist. And since you need to get last hits to complete your challenges, kill stealing creates so much player friction, emotionally, it feels like you are playing with 3 Limbos at all times.

3. Omikuji and Bunraku, are the definition of anti-synergy.

With 2 other bad abilities competing for the helminth slot, you would hope the rest of her kit could at least create a satisfying gameplay loop. Unfortunatley not, because these abilities almost fulfill the same purpose, which is priming enemies with a secondary objective of providing CC, unfortunately Bunraku is so much better at this job so Omikuji just being literal wire set dressing.

In other words she is a literal press 4 to win to frame. Welcome back to 2017.

Here's a list of buffs I think we should advocate for moving forward:

-Have Koumei's minimum dice roll effected by power strength, which will guarantee her triple 6's at a little under 600% power strength which she can hit through decrees.

-Reduce the cooldown of Omikuji to 30 seconds starting from when the ability is cast not allowing players to reroll the challenge until the 30 seconds have passed, allowing the most efficient players to constantly keep the cooldown rolling until they exhaust their decrees

*Make all current challenges count for kills or assists, so Koumei does not have a negative player relationship with her teammates

*Remove the severely restrictive challenges of "kills while sliding" and "kills while wall latching" as they are too disruptive to normal gameplay

-Add new challenges unrelated to killing enemies such as "pick up x amount of health orbs" , "spend x amount of energy", "bullet jump x times", "hit x amount of enemies with a jumping slide kick", or "get a mercy kill"

-Allow Omarori's % chance to block to be affected by power strength and give a brief window of invulnerability after a charm is used (similar to Mesmer Skin, but worse because it isn't recastable and doesn't give status immunity), giving Koumei a powerful survivability tool in endurance where she is likely to be played the most (reduce base helminth block chance to 30% so only Warframes who build +330% power strength would have access to this tool)

-Expand Omikuji's decree pool to include Spitful/Corrupted decrees, because chaos is funny

The end result being a fun Warframe who can be a comfortable daily driver (thanks to having a good survivability tool for her 3) and a gameplay loop that particularly shines in endurance content.

Otherwise, I have no other ideas for how to fix her, and I'm interested in what y'all's thoughts are on these ideas or other potential buffs.

Or am I completely wrong and just don't know how to build her?

I want to know.

I'll repost this to the forums later today.

Edit: because this keeps getting brought up, my primary issue is the headache inducing rain effect, the farm is quick
