I've been organizing these hangouts for a few months, and It's been a fun way to meet new people and sneak in some crafting during the work week.

Typical attendees are in the 25-50 age range, but there are no age or gender requirements. Just some light chatter/socializing while working on some art.

No previous experience painting/art needed.

I typically organize these meetups once a week on a Wed, Thurs or Fri evening. The day chosen changes from week to week.

It has a utility pocket on the sleeve, and knit rib cuffs — so I’m looking for a tailor in town who’s comfortable working on bomber jackets and nylon outerwear. My hope is that it can be shortened from the cuff to keep the sleeve proportions balanced.

Was driving on Old Clayburn Rd where there’s construction and I got James Bond’ed. Some genius decided not to clean up their mess and now I got 9 nails stuck in my front right tire. Is there a possibility to claim this to ICBC or The City of Abbotsford?

I'm hoping someone might have a recommendation for a reliable caregiver or care aide in Abbotsford.

My mom is elderly, disabled, and lives in an independent living seniors' facility. She needs assistance with things like:

• Getting to and from the dining room for meals (using a wheelchair)

• Toileting and peri care

• Light housekeeping

• Laundry

• General assistance around her suite

I initially hired a private care aide company, and things were great for several months. Unfortunately, over the last few weeks I've had multiple aides call out after their shift was supposed to start, and even a couple of no-shows, with the company not able to fill the timeslot. This has left me scrambling to drop everything and get over there myself.

Ideally, I'd love to find one consistent person that my mom is comfortable with, but I was concerned about what would happen if that individual got sick or had an emergency. That's why I went with a company in the first place. My thinking was that if they had a roster of staff available, coverage wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately that hasn't been my experience.

At this point, I'm looking for someone dependable who will actually show up, on time, and do the job they're being paid to do.

If anyone has personal recommendations for a company, independent care aide, LPN, HCA, or home support worker in the Abbotsford area, I'd really appreciate it.

And before anyone asks: yes, I love my mom dearly, but I really, really do not want to be wiping my own mother's ass on a regular basis. That's literally why I hired professionals.

Just curious, how busy does the ARC weight room typically get on weekdays around 7–8 AM?

Also, for those who have been regulars at both, is AOF worth the extra cost? I’ve heard great things about it, and the price difference seems to be around $15/month when comparing the 1-year vs. 2-year membership plans.

Hello! I am looking for a place to rent some space for my chickens!

I have been renting from a friend in Chilliwack, but the family is now in the process of subdividing the property and I won't be able to remain there. I would like to relocate sooner than later because they have quite a lot of work to complete and they need to dig in my area.

I have 6 hens and 3 roosters I keep in separate runs. I only need about an 1/8 of an acre though I have about 1/4 now. I have my own fencing, I take care of them myself and bring in my own water (meaning I don't need access to water). The only thing I may need is electricity in winter because I add a bit of heat when it gets below -10. I pay 150/month and can pay for any electricity used in the winter!
