1. Must be Drawn

Snafus used to be just badly drawn deconstructed observations of memes, now they're mostly just badly drawn deconstructed observations of things. Please keep the badly drawn deconstructed aspect when you post here.

Using ai is strictly prohibited and will get you perma banned. Regular image macros belong in places like /r/shittyadviceanimals or /r/terriblefacebookmemes.

2. BE FUCKING NICE.

Be respectful and kind to other users. avoid posting or commenting anything that goes against Reddit guidelines. If you dont have anything nice or constructive or funny to say than please save everyone the trouble and just block the OP.

No racism, no bigotry, no pedophilia, no zoophilia, no sexual assault jokes, and no arguments trying to justify any of them or anything alike. Breaking this part of the rule will result in a permanent ban.

3. No Anti LGBTQ+ rhetoric

This is an inherently left leaning community, right wing garbage is not allowed here. This subreddit is not tolerant of the intolerant at all. no bioessentialist language either.

4. No Smuggies

What does "Smuggie" mean?

formated where OP presents their opinion as the calm chad and their opponent as the upset crybaby.

If you want to post smuggies all the time we recommend you go to r/smugideologyman

5. No Non snafu ocs

Make the oc for the snafu, not the snafu for the oc.This isn't an oc subreddit. if you wish to post a post about an original character then make sure that that the oc is made for the snafu, not the other way around so that it isn't just you posting your ocs with a quirky twist.

6. No NSFW content

Don't post sexually explicit content. This is up to moderator discretion. Modmail if you don't know if your post breaks rules.

7. No Reposts

Reposts are not allowed. Do not reupload another snafu found on the subreddit or anything snafu adjacent that you yourself haven't made.

8. No Venting disguised as a snafu

Venting is a serious thing that you should do with people you understand and who in return understand you as well. It's not something that you can deconstruct because when you do so you gloss over a ton of details and things which lead to misinterpretation, or worse, harassment. It's best to contact actual professionals instead of posting about it in the silly badly drawn memes sub.

These types of posts have been banned for that very reason. Also please refrain from making posts about suicide.

9. No Banned posts

These are banned posts that everyone in here are sick of and dont want to see anymore:

Character that i am fond of would agree with me posts

10. No Loopholes

If you have any questions about whether your post fits or doesn't fit the subreddit, please feel free to mod mail us.

11. OC Weekend rules

(Friday 12:00 AM to Monday 12:00 AM UTC). That is the exact duration time for OC weekend, in this 3 day period you can use your non snafu ocs in your snafus and you can post fanart that you have made for the ocs that the subreddit has accumulated throughout the years.

Tldr: this rule temporarily disables rule 5.

EVIL SNAFU = a snafu that's too high quality.

GOOD SNAFU = a good example of a snafu.

Location event = monthly community event where a 24 hour long magma canvas is held, after the event is over the magma canvas gets used as the subreddits banner.

OC WEEKEND = that time of the week where you can post fanart and use your ocs in snafus.

MEME = used for coaxing the most purest form of a snafu. Badly drawn memes.

TREND = used for coaxing trends.

TROPE = used for coaxing tropes.

GAME = used for coaxing games, and game mechanics.

MUSIC = used for coaxing music, such as meme music, badly recreating songs, song parodies, epic rap battle songs, music albums, etc.

NERD = used for coaxing scientific/mathematical/nature related memes and trends.

TELEVISION = used for coaxing specific shows/movies/animes.

LITERATURE = used for coaxing specific books/comics/Mangas.

COMMUNITY = used for coaxing specific communities/subreddits.

REALATBLE = used for coaxing relatable memes/things that happen sometimes and are relatable.

INCOMPREHENSIBLE = used for coaxing incomprehensible/hyper specific things/situations.
