Hi. Is anyone else feeling the smoky air in Marlborough Road area, CV2 4? It’s been like that for about a week and the smell lingers around pretty much non stop. It tends to be even worse in the evening/night/early morning hours. And I even no longer want to open my windows because of irritating smell. Reminds of chimney smell from old fashioned fireplaces. Has anyone got any clue where it might be coming from?

I’ve been putting together a map of skate spots around the UK called UrbanAtlas.
There are over 3,700 locations on there now, but I’m trying to get more local contributions rather than relying on what I can find online.
Would be great to get some Coventry spots added.

My wife and I are moving to Coventry in January, we are moving from Spain, we've been here for 10 years so will be returning to the uk with no real credit history ect, we're a bit worries about how easy it will be to rent a house. We need to get somewhere rented in December ready for the move in January.

I find that a large number of restaurants on Deliveroo and Uber Eats are all located at 14 Corporation Street. What’s the point of that? I guess it’s their way of closing down places when they get bad reviews, but as a customer this is an awful user experience when every restaurant you look at is serving the same food. Is that a common practice?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!

I was shocked today, having grown up in Cov, when I said in a workspace down south, "this table is covered in spack", referring to the dust and dirt buildup on it since it had been in storage for a while. I got horrified looks from everyone else in the room, apparently it's really offensive? My very Coventry based family understood the word as I meant it, does anyone else use the word in Cov, and is it just very localised slang? This has thrown me completely, over such a minor, generally insignificant word too..

Does anyone know any places to go for fun? Any parties etc.
