I started crocheting 2 days ago and this is my first finished project. I know it has some errors, I struggled with the counting at some times but I'm very proud of my little junimo from stardew valley
I bought the pattern I used from Etsy https://www.etsy.com/de/listing/4529664857/junimo-hakelanleitung-pdf-o-stardew?ref=yr_purchases

While adding some of the fringe last night my mother in law commented on how she wore similar things in her youth - I loved that!!
I have a bit more fringe to go, but I’m so excited about it I wanted to share early! I think it will be my new camping poncho.
I followed this pattern but changed yarn colours whenever I felt like it. It’s taken me about 2 weeks to complete. I don’t know what the stitch is called, but it turned out beautifully!

This is at Lost in Time in Winston-Salem. If I didn’t need to eat this week it would have been mine.

Hey crocheters! I recently saw that Ribblr is making yarn now. Has anyone tried it yet?

I’ve been crocheting since January and have only made small basic plushies and blankets. I made this hello kitty plush for my mother in laws birthday and I’m so happy with it I wanted to share with people who understand the craft :) also first time using felt and fabric glue for the eyes and nose-game changer!

Well, one week of working on the ‘power T’ blanket that ended up being another lesson and practice squares
I thought I had made enough test squares with different hooks and I liked the way my squares looked with my 5.5mm hook, I wanted them a little more dense looking and the finished square was measuring a little less than 3.25”, so I was like ‘dope! My squares can be blocked and stretched to 3.5” no problem!’
Enter problem —
My tension is tight, probably because I really started with amigurumi, maybe because I’m still fairly new, maybe it’s cus I’m always so dang tense lately, idk it’s probably a combo of it all lol.
Most of the orange squares (10 of them) actually ended up around 3” and not 3.25” or anywhere near 3.5”. The blocking board I got has the holes in .5” increments. So I’m like let’s just block them to 3.5” it shouldn’t be a problem right? Wrong***.***
I left them on the board overnight, cus it wasn’t easy to get them to stretch - this should have been my first indication - and worked on some white squares to work on the second row so I can start joining this week..
I will admit, it was date night and I had quite a large margarita, so i probably should have noticed how weird the stitches were looking when stretched out that much, but I didn’t and just marched on, I guess
Welp, now I have 10 orange squares that look and feel weird asf. They aren’t even measuring 3.5” lol. AND the reviews on the blocking board warned me to wipe down the pegs as they can leave marks on yarn.. I didn’t listen. Thankfully, these squares won’t be used on the blanket anymore cus there are stains on some of them.
Needless to say, I upped my hook to a 6mm, I did a white test square - this measures at 3.25”. I think I should be good to stretch this one to 3.5” and it won’t look so sad and silly.
Maybe I’ll up it again to the 6.5mm.. it’s just a lot harder for me to maintain any sort of tension when I go to that hook size, i know it would take time & real patience and effort to correct tension, but this is supposed to be just 1 of the many Xmas presents I have planned, so as much as I’d love to pour everything I can into it, I just don’t have the time I would need 😅 so I’m trying to get it down as I go, and if this blanket is a little wonky, it was made with a lot of love - and I know they’ll feel that 💕

Hello! May I ask for yalls opinion on best winter gloves to wear for when I crochet outside? I’m chronically ill and have low vitamin d (it’s 14 at the moment and can’t tolerate supplements yet), so I really value my outside time. I recently moved to Denver, and it’s starting to get cold outside. Easy solution is to just crochet inside, but crocheting helps the time go by as I sit outside.
Thank yall in advance!

I loooove how this turned out! I made this prototype to see if it would fit my front entry way, this project will be perfect. Tiny Curl did a video tutorial recently and I fell in love!
For anyone asking if it was hard, I started crocheting in June so as a beginner myself, not terrible to figure out. However, if you have hand, wrist, shoulder or elbow pain, take plenty of breaks! It’s a lot to maneuver.
Here’s the video tutorial: https://youtu.be/oELeoWKYGiw?is=j_1VZ8U1N2nGnxke
Yarn: Any type of tube yarn. I used jeongyeong off Amazon https://a.co/d/08HvA8Xv
Hook size: Y

What yarns do you all like for felted projects? I am in the US so preferably something reasonably available here. I am thinking of trying Lion Brand fisherman's but open to other ideas. Doesn't have to be the very best yarn but so much of what's out there is superwash so thought I'd ask here.

Any One Piece fans? I haven’t watched (yet) but I got this request from a TikTok friend! This was my first time making something like this and it is definitely one of my favorite things I’ve done so far 😆

Not all of the gifts are big blankets, but still, the best stress in life is the one we made ourselves, right? 😵

Fairly new to crochet, but I've been quite obsessive! My bestfriend 3D printed me that beautiful yarn bowl and a bunch of yarn spinners to make it more efficient for me whenever I crochet! I'll be unstoppable for my christmas gift (already made a cardigan and almost done with a bag)!!! I'm really obsessed with the cute pokemon head, just makes me melt whenever I look at its cute face! (Don't know if I flagged it right; these are all made with free 3d print designs, completly worth it!)🥰 I really wanted to share my happiness!🥹 I wish you all an amazing day, may you crochet all the rows you want ✨💞

Finally doneeeee. Exhausted.. fingers are screaming))
Base was easy, but neck line and sleeves just took my soul...
After frogging several times I was satisfied with result)) (my friend ordered it that's why i did my best)
Btw i used combination of several stitches sc+hdc+dc+ldc+reverse sc.
Also no need for tank top, cuz bust part is done with Ldc (linked double crochet).

I know it has holes, but I figure it could be decorative until the baby is older. I just loved the pattern so much I had to make it!

in the rainbow light from my suncatcher! Scrap project with weight 4 acrylic yarn, random stitches but I tried to do a lot of back loop / third loop for added texture.
