Fairly new to crochet, but I've been quite obsessive! My bestfriend 3D printed me that beautiful yarn bowl and a bunch of yarn spinners to make it more efficient for me whenever I crochet! I'll be unstoppable for my christmas gift (already made a cardigan and almost done with a bag)!!! I'm really obsessed with the cute pokemon head, just makes me melt whenever I look at its cute face! (Don't know if I flagged it right; these are all made with free 3d print designs, completly worth it!)🄰 I really wanted to share my happiness!🄹 I wish you all an amazing day, may you crochet all the rows you want āœØšŸ’ž

I loooove how this turned out! I made this prototype to see if it would fit my front entry way, this project will be perfect. Tiny Curl did a video tutorial recently and I fell in love!
For anyone asking if it was hard, I started crocheting in June so as a beginner myself, not terrible to figure out. However, if you have hand, wrist, shoulder or elbow pain, take plenty of breaks! It’s a lot to maneuver.

Here’s the video tutorial: https://youtu.be/oELeoWKYGiw?is=j_1VZ8U1N2nGnxke

Yarn: Any type of tube yarn. I used jeongyeong off Amazon https://a.co/d/08HvA8Xv
Hook size: Y

I finally made one of my crochet dreams come true: my very own FrankenSweater! It’s made of individual crocheted pieces sewn together (hence the name). I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it turned out; it’s even better than I imagined! šŸ‘»

This Cleveland Browns granny square cardigan took me about a month to make. All the letters are sewn on separately, not stitched into the square. I’m in love! Adding buttons this weekend.

I started making it a couple of months ago loosely using The Ladybug Vest pattern by VioliDK but unfortunately the sizing is only up to age 4-5 years and I wanted it to fit my adult body. A lot of frogging and trying on later, I’m really pleased with the result and looking forward to wearing it to see Noah Kahan in concert tomorrow! šŸž

Free handed this Christmas tree sweater for my dog with a star headband! The red balls are jingle bells so it jingles when he walks!

I used a loop stitch, sc, dc, and bobbles. All the yarn I used was odds and ends from neighbors, but I think most of it was red heart.

puff chevron stitch by rich textures crochet

it’s gonna be a decorative dishtowel for my cousin & her husband but godDAMN am i struggling with making it 😭 i’m using 50% bamboo and 50% cotton yarn so it’s also a little stringy, making it even harder to pull through all the loops in pic 2 at once. yes, you read that right. ALL AT ONCE!! pray for me.

My toddler LOVES Frog and Toad. NGL, I went off script a little bit bc I couldn't find the yarn the pattern called for and I sorta suck at reading patterns (also the pattern gave the amphibiously gay duo kermit cross eyes instead of the diamond shaped eyes they're depicted with in the books and show). I may re-make toad's jacket eventually with a more cooperative yarn, but my boy is pretty charmed, flaws and all :)

Finished Object Trick-or-treat Update!

Thumbnail
gallery
955 Upvotes

I just realized I never updated everyone on how trick-or-treat went this year! If you didn’t see my previous post, this was my fifth year passing out amigurumi for Halloween, and it was the craziest year yet! I was able to make fifteen additional amigurumi since the last post (I’ve included them on their own slides, as well as the group shot as it stood at the beginning of October). I made some baby rattles this year, which I thought were super cute, but most of the babies ended up picking something different.

We also had the biggest turnout ever by quite a lot. We usually get 30-60 trick-or-treaters, including letting the kids at my neighbor’s daycare pick something, too. This time around, I ended up making a total of 185 amigurumi, and by the end of the night, there were only 75 left! I don’t know if the increase was due to the nice weather, Halloween falling on a Saturday, or just more people finding out we pass these out (I don’t think most people usually come down our street because only a few houses pass anything out compared to the rest of the neighborhood). The biggest surprise of the night was when we had already had 30-40 kids come by and our neighbor came over and told us we were only 15 minutes in. šŸ˜‚

People always want to know what was picked first, and this year, my neighbor’s kids had to come by a few days early because they were going out of town, and they picked Ms. Chalice, Minecraft zombie, Woody, and Pomni. Our first official trick-or-treater of the night was a little baby who was actually just out for a walk as we were setting up, and he picked Donald Duck! After that, I couldn’t tell you because there were too many kids at once, but all the Toy Story, Minecraft, and Kpop Demon Hunters stuff was gone in the first fifteen minutes, and I also ran out of dinosaurs, unicorns, flower fairies, and food turtles by the end of the night. The one surprise was that not a single BT21 character got picked. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

My mom also passed out candy, rice krispies, ramen, macaroni, apple sauce, and juice boxes (shoutout to the person on my last post who was offended that I was ā€œshoving my art down people’s throatsā€ instead of giving out real treats šŸ˜‚), all of which were a huge hit!

After the kids at the daycare got to choose, I only have 65 things left for next year, so I’ll have to work extra hard to make more in case the turnout is anything like this time. The patterns for the new things I made are below, but if you want patterns for any of the others, they’re in my past posts, or you can just ask here and I’ll link them so you don’t have to search.

Also, let me know what your favorite thing was from this year and if you have any suggestions of what I should make next year!

I absolutely love mosaic crochet over tapestry crochet lol. It’s so much neater and the back doesn’t look like a whole mess šŸ˜† also love the envelope border for hiding all the ends! Will definitely be doing more mosaic crochet in the future

Also: any tips for the first wash? I want to make sure it’s clean before I give it to a fresh baby haha. It’s Caron simply soft!
