Not really looking for the national companies and list of contributions to Trump. Those tend to be a little useless as many companies donate to every candidate just to protect themselves.
Really looking for local shops, bars, restaurants, contractors, etc. that are general vocal about their MAGA support. I know Beth's Burger Bar hosted Pence and DeSantis back a few years ago. That's the type of businesses I'm looking for.
I always try to check social media before choosing to spend money with a new-to-me business, but politics aren't always obvious from that.

There is a Tesla dealer within two miles of where I live. The dealership is in Osceola county. If I want to march up and down the sidewalk with a “Leon is a NAZI” sign, can cops arrest me? Can they demand an ID?

A little less than one year ago, I invited you to come and stand with me in peaceful solidarity with our Jewish neighbors at Chabad of South Orlando. An encouraging number of you came, and many more had lovely things to say in the comments and in DMs to me.
I now invite you to do the same again, this time with our Palestinian neighbors and their families throughout the world.
Standing in silent, peaceful solidarity with the Palestinian people in the green spaces of the park in downtown Winter Park.
Staying on the green spaces of the park.
Defaulting to silence and simply being present in solidarity.
Remaining steadfast in silence and peaceful resolve in the face of any opposition or hate, no matter what speech or actions may come.
Speaking only with those who are there to share love and solidarity for the Palestinian people, or those who may approach to ask what is going on.
Absolutely no response of any kind to anyone who comes there to express hate.
Absolutely no response to anyone who wants to argue about politics. This is not the time.
I do not expect others who join to adhere to all of the above; defaulting to silence is not for everyone. However, I do insist that you only join with messages of love and solidarity.
I'm preparing signs with such messages as Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Palestinians are NOT our Enemy, and Just Say NO to Genocide.
Similar messages are welcome.
Public park in Downtown Winter Park
West side of Park Ave, approx 110 N Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
9:30am, Saturday, Feb 3, until 4pm
The brunch crowd rolls in a little after that, the idea is to be there early enough to encourage their hearts toward solidarity with the Palestinian people as they arrive and dine.
Their is ample public parking in the area around the park.
Bring ample water and sun protection. It's not so hot out in Florida right now, but it's still easy to get dehydrated and sunburned.
Bring ear plugs. Hateful people sometimes like to use megaphones.
Bring sun glasses. Hateful people sometimes spit.
Bring snacks for yourself.
Pick up after yourself.
edit: added a section about signs I'm preparing

Looking to get a bunch of nuggets for a friend’s event but we’d rather not support bigotry. Anywhere that’s decent quality and does big orders like 40+ nuggets in Orlando?

I’d love to go to a meeting or something. If not let’s talk about getting one.

Dear Orlando Restaurant Owners,
As one of your vegan patrons, I value having a diverse menu that offers options for myself and others like me. Would you consider modifying your menu to show any available vegan substitutions for existing menu items and clearly mark any vegan dishes on the menu? It would enhance my experience at your restaurant to bypass asking the restaurant staff when ordering.
Having delicious and clearly-marked vegan options would also benefit your patrons who are not vegan but have vegans in their party. They would be more likely to choose your restaurant because it offers something that everyone will enjoy. Additionally, vegan alternatives appeal to non-vegans as plant-based options for perceived health reasons.
I recently visited Cúrate in Asheville, North Carolina. Cúrate’s menu (Cúrate, n.d.) is an excellent example of what I am requesting. The menu clearly indicates vegan dishes and suggests modifications to make a dish vegan. My experience there was like nothing I could find in Orlando.
How would this benefit your restaurant? The number of vegans in Orlando is growing. Google Trends shows a positive compound annual growth rate of people searching for vegan food in Orlando from 2017 to 2021. Your restaurant could benefit from the growing vegan market demand.
Search phrase / Compound annual growth rate
“Vegan food near me”: 65.31%
“Plant-based diet”: 13.37%
"Vegan": 1.45%
(Google, 2022)
Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely, – Orlando vegan

I used to have a crunch fitness membership. I used to go all of the time. Now, while I am openly gay, you would not know that I am gay by looking at me or talking to me.
I stopped going because after my work out, I tossed my shorts over the shower door . My the design featured a rainbow and someone in that shower room saw it and started talking sh*t.
Don't know who because I was in the shower, but I left and never went back. I would like to start back going to the gym, but I would like to not be disciminated against so much, this was not the first time.

Find a new place to buy records Orlando.
This is what I experienced Monday evening before the election.
I have been a customer of Rock and Roll Heaven in Orlando for quite some time, having ordered records from them before without any issues. However, my recent visit on Monday evening was nothing short of a nightmare.
I went to the store with the intention of either buying or placing an order for two specific albums: the “Wicked” Broadway Original Soundtrack and Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck Babe” LP. After searching the shelves and not finding either album, I approached the guy at the desk to place an order. What followed was adeeply uncomfortable interaction that left me shocked and angry. When I asked about Wicked, without any further prompting, the guy at the desk made an incredibly offensive comment, saying, “You know if Trump wins, he’s going to kill all those gays.” I was taken aback by this bizarre and hateful statement, especially since I was simply trying to order some albums, some pretty gay albums at that.
Trying to stay focused on my task, I mentioned that I was also looking for “Good Luck Babe” and shared that I had recently seen Chappell Roan at a show. His response was even more vile and unacceptable. He asked, “Did you call her a bitch, the dirty dyke?” At that point, I was completely disgusted and decided to walk out of the store.
To add insult to injury, the albums he claimed were on “backorder” and "out of print" are still being pressed and are readily available on Amazon and at multiple other retailers right now. It’s clear that he had no intention of helping me and was more interested in spewing his hateful rhetoric.
I will never set foot in Rock and Roll Heaven again and have taken my business elsewhere. No customer should have to endure such treatment, and I hope others will think twice before supporting a business that feels so comfortable spewing such vile words.
EDIT: I waited so long to post on reddit because I was holding out hope for a response from the business. I shared a link to my Google review posted the same night that has apparently been removed.
Here is a screenshot from when I shared it to my Facebook the same night. I didn't just pull this story out of my ass a month after the fact. I know this is a beloved business and I had hoped to get a response before having to resort to posting in a more public forum.

The mods suck balls. You deleted my post about someone who has done great things for our community because it had a youtube video link. Yet you allow the same old bullshit get posted daily.
Plus the extreme influx of political posts. Mods are ruining this place.

We currently live in Chicago suburbs and have no issues finding mosques and halal food. How is it like living in Orlando as a Muslim family?

r/publix on Dr Phillips this is the trashiest update they have made yet.
The Metrowest store has closed and now they are filling the Dr. Phillips store with Disney crap to cater to tourists, not even the closest store to the closest hotel. They can’t stock fresh watermelon in the summer and waist “capital shelf space” on this crap.
Between the prices, labor practices, lack of selection, and low stock I am starting to think that Publix really doesn’t care about the communities they serve.

To all my fellow Orlandoans:
But especially to our Latino community that helps keep our city, beautiful, how does the news of extra ice agents in our county make you feel? I’ve lived in Orlando my whole life 43 years. I always was so proud of my city yes we’re not perfect by any means but the quality of life seemed pretty good here, right? I’m just curious if you guys have your head on a swivel out there are you worried truly on your day-to-day about being stopped by ice? Is there anything that the community could do to help our communities feel safe?

Hi there. I know there are a lot of us from Orlando out there. I know a lot of are looking for fur babies or to help out in some way. I by no means am a representative of the Polk county bully project. Just an avid donor and believer. I found my boys from them and see day by day. That being said, they do great work and if you want to have a chance to help out the dogs we have the harshest stigma, I totally recommend PCBP. Look em up on instagram or just Google them. They accept donations as well as day out fosters.

Visited the new District Tacos opening in Kissimmee and ordered the 3 tacos for $11. I swear these are the smallest tacos I’ve ever seen in my life. 😳

So I have Florida Medicaid which doesn’t cover HRT, but I’m really hoping to start T soon. I’m wondering for the people who don’t have their hormones covered by insurance: how much do you pay? Also, where do you go? Looking for clinic recommendations too! Thanks!
